Hi everybody, I plan on writing my next lesson on reflexive verbs and body parts. I would also like to use a picture of Alizée (a modestly dressed picture of course) to teach body parts; would you all like that or would this be offensive?

would appreciate your opinion :)

I say use somebody else. It'd be much easier to use like a stock image of male/female bodies like they use in most textbooks, anyway, than trying to use an actual picture of someone.

Seeing as this is an Alizee fansite (and I like looking at picters of her), I think utilizing an image of Alizee would be appropriate; just so long as it stays just that... appropraite.

Yea go for it. It'll probably help people remember the words that much more.

Or have the complete opposite effect and no one will learn anything! Too busy drooling. :p

Nah go for it :)

I'm undecided. I think that if you use her I won't get past "Lips" "Mouth" or "her "Smile".. ;)

I'm all for it so long as it remains decent, like any normal text-book would be.

It depends, as well, how in depth you want it to go. For basic, large, body parts, we probably have pics of Alizée that would work. If you want to get in to details of smaller parts, we'd probably need reference photos.

I actually was thinking about looking for a chart like this the other day... I was trying to figure out the names of the different fingers in French, and was horrified to discover my dictionary only had the thumb... no others!

2 pictures

your picture with the long blue gilet (I don't know the English word)

a headshot of Alizée as a little girl (~15), with a white background and her name in the top left corner in black letters. She is wearing a blue precious stone necklace and raising her left arm in this picture.

I believe we would call that a waistcoat, though I think it is unusual for that term to be applied to things made of sweater material like that.
