I think it would be funny to see her get drunk. I know she doesn't smoke or do drugs.

Yup, those are the photos from the party. It's clear that she has drank some.

I don't remember if she has ever said to drink but then again, I don't remember her denying it either. So it's fair enough to say that she's normal young woman andshe can have drink every now and then. The party photos are prove for it, I think.

Hehe, there's nothing wrong with enjoying some alchohol every once in a while. It's like... now. I've enjoyed quite a lot of it, and I'm happy. :p

Ok, maybe a bad example. :)

But, regarding those Alizée-pictures.... I'm not sure I like them. Or, I guess I could never not like any picture of Alizée, 'cause after all, it's of her, but I don't like it when people take all those pictures without asking first. Hmm, what's the word for it... oh yes, paparazzi. (sorry if misspelling).

Most people get drunk every once in a while. Nothing wrong with that. But for the celebrities, it's somehow a huge scandal when they drink and/or behave "like they're not supposed to". Ok, I'm heavily under the influence of that stuff now, but what is wrong with people having fun? As long as they don't do anything bad, or do anything to hurt other people, why is it so worthy of the worlds critisism?

Gonna watch some Alizée-vids now, and try to sing along. :) Damn I'm glad most people around here are sleeping now (so noone can hear me). :)

I used to live in Germany. It seemed everyone smoked and drank. Europeans didn't seem to be hung up on this subject. Maybe things have changed over there, I don't know. I'm only curious, does France have an age limit for drinking?

dvtq

Cleartype is a control panel setting that makes text easier to see. It was designed specifically for high-resolutions displays and/or sharp displays, like laptops or 22" CRTs or 20" LCDs. In effect it anti-aliases text, sort of how text in Adobe Acrobat .pdf files look so got danged detailed.

if you're having trouble reading text and/or have a high-resolution display, you can download cleartype from www.microsoft.com or here: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypePowerToy.mspx

i too thought Alizee was 22 until i loooked at her actual birthday

I think it's ok for her to drink as long as it doesn't affect her amazingness.

And it's sort of like what Jung says a lot, "People don't think that Alizée poops".

Alizée has repeatedly said in interviews that she doesn't drink. So I wonder if she has been less than honest in saying that, or is this article just made up, or at least maybe they twisted some of her answers around a bit. It wouldn't be the first time the media did that. :)

I assume that when Alizée says she doesn't drink, she means she doesn't drink for the purpose of getting intoxicated. Meaning she may have a glass of wine with dinner on occasion and is not really counting that as drinking.

1) Smells? Everything smells, hell cinnamon smells gross as hell.
2) How's it bad for you? Alcohol, to a certain extent, is good for your cardiovascular health.

Hmm... I hate the taste of alcohol, and have a ton of other (very personal, nun' yo' biz') reasons for not drinking. But a drink every once in a while, without the intention of intoxication, will probably be part of my weekly routine, if I ever find a drink that tastes good enough. And how convenient if it happened to be Alizée's favorite? Another thing we have in common!

umm... France isn't part of the USA. there are kids who drink a glass of wine with their food. the drinking age is younger than 21 and drinking/smoking is a lot more casual than it is here. so don't be comparing countries to the USA without getting some facts straight :p

The exact age is beyong me, but you could probably find it online. However, watch Stars À Domicile 2003 again closely. Not only does Alizée (at 18) drink a glass of wine, so does Jessica (at 15); not just a sip mind you, a full glass. On tv. Therefore, it is at least legal for a 15 year old to have a glass if not entirely accpetable. I have seen where a parent will give a teenager a sip of alcohol, but it is nowhere near acceptable for a 15 yo to have a full glass of wine. Most of the Old World is much more lax on alcoholic regulations, look at places like Germany or Ireland. France's drinking age is surely online somewhere, finding it shouldn't take long. Easier yet, ask bigdan.

There actually is no drinking age in France, laws only prohibit selling them to minors, meaning under 18. Its only illegal to provide a minor with alcohol to the point of intoxication, but casual drinking is acceptable. Lol figures... I was so happy when I turned 21... now its like big whoop...

That's right. But, this days, the "Facebook drinking meeting" phénomenon is increasing and the autorities try to stop it, with police forces...

It really pisses me of that underage kids post pictures of themselves drinking and/or smoking. Can you make it any more obvious for the cops!
it angers me so much that I'm going to post this on the What Pisses You Off Thread

Beaner, cops do not care too much about underage drinking so long as your 18 and not disturbing anyone, trust me on that. I was at plenty of Frat parties that got raided, they care more about drugs... the most you can get for underage drinking is a summons and its like 60 bucks if that. It is when you supply drinks to people underage your in trouble with possible jail time

meh, the drinking age law isnt really a law that matters that much. The only reason the age was raised from 18 to 21 is it causes less DUI's and car accidents. Cops know kids are going to do it anyway. Plus my school is 5min from Canada and 2 hours from Toronto, if cops get too strict everyone will just go to Canada where the drinking age is 19 and drink there.... hey its what we do all the time.

quite so. I mean there is the other issue that 18 year olds are able to go to the army and kill lots of people, but aren't able to have one god damn drink. how messed up is that?

I actualy agrre with the law even though I don't follow it :D Since the age was raised from 18 to 21 there have been less deaths due to car accidents and DUI's... so it is not messed up at all. And btw your allowed to join the military at 17 if your parents are willing to co sign the contract.

Hahaha, I like how so many people assume that if you underage drink, you're going to go out and rape and pillage the town.

Jeez, how many of you underage people out there so against drinking have any experience with drinking? I don't mean if you've drank or not, but just hung around drunk people. They're honestly a very entertaining and hilarious bunch to be around. And nearly all the time I drink it's with close friends or other cadets, so we're all keeping an eye(albeit a drunk and bloodshot eye) out for each other.

There is a difference between being drunk and being annoyingly boisterous and in your face wasted.

I don't think it's messed up at all.

Just because you choose to serve does mean that you can bypass the law, you still are a citizen of the United States, and therefore are subject to the laws. I mean, you sign up fully knowing that you can't legally drink. The fact that you sign up and are willing to serve at an age that you can't even buy liquor at adds to the respect in my opinion.

Though of course, just because you CAN'T doesn't mean that you don't. :p

Every bar I've been to has. The shot is better than the drink.

This thread seems to be past it's prime. If she drinks, she drinks; if she gets really drunk, she has been smart enough to hide it really well. Despite I will never have more than maybe a drink a week, if even that, I don't despise people who drink on a regular basis. I can hang out with people who drink, I just won't join in. But even if she appeared in a Lindsey Lohan style drunken rage, I would still listen to her; though that would threaten my fanhood a great deal.

A main reason for changing the age to 21 is to try to get alcohol out of the high schools (that age group).

Alizée is mentally more mature than most of her peers. Although she drinks socially, I doubt she drinks to get drunk (at least not anymore).
She is, to borrow from a very old song:
oh so good,
oh so fine,
oh so healthy in her body and her mind,
she is a well respected [woman] of our town
doing the best things so conservatively.

One wonders. In 2008 and since she has indeed repeatedly said that she is not into smoking, drinking, drugs... except that there was something about maybe drinking a bit occasionally for some particular occasion. But then even recently in an interview she was asked what she did when meeting (some other singer, Patrick Fiori?). Do you get your drink on? They asked. To which she replied, oh yeah. Or something to that effect.

I do prefer the pure as snow teenage angel image, and the "I don't drink/drugs/etc." Alizée. But I know fantasies never stand up to reality. Still, there's nothing fantastical about not getting messed up drunk. I was over 30 before I ever tried alcohol. Oh the horror! Maybe it's better. Maybe it's easier then to say, meh, and not get hooked on something or go too far. Sounds like she has not done more than get a bit tipsy here or there. (Of course, liquid cocaine?) As long as she doesn't get too crazy... ...
anyways, back on topic, Alizée seems like the type who would non-stop talk if she gets too drunk. but that's just me  ha ha, that's me. Only happened once that I got that drunk. :o And I sure as hell wasn't going to drive myself home. I was never so drunk that I lost that simple obvious kind of judgment; so I can admit it's not necessarily a really big deal. (Though I certainly have seen people drink on into the night and become stupid as well as, shall we say, lose all charm of personality.) That would be funny to see Alizée blabbing on (if it wasn't any kind of habit). Of course, I'd have little idea what she would be saying anyway. :( So, I'd rather just have a normal conversation.

What's the big deal? First of all it's pretty darn nasty stuff to drink unless one gets the really expensive stuff (not a problem for some people); so, what's the point of drinking alcohol unless one is going to get moderately drunk? (Often not an option if one has to drive.) And then is that really so great anyway? Not in my experience. I did enough drinking to figure out that I don't really care for it. And obviously getting very drunk can't be good for the health (maybe not even moderately--kills brains cells they say?).

She probably only got to drink hard for maybe 1 or 2 years since she wasn't able to drink til probably 21, and then she had Annily right after MCE....so yah....stanks for her hahaUh yeah, she had Annily when she was 20; so...

Still finding no reason in my mind that it would be bad if Alzée chooses to drink or not, but of course that may be coming from an Irish man too. I drank a lot in my youth. When I put on the uniform at age 16 no one carded me anymore. Im old, I slow down. But if you do do it, do it young. My time is to pass on the torch to the yunguns. I think if she chooses to enjoy some French wine or Mexican beer or Jamaican rum for that matter, more the power to her. Have one for me for good old time sake because I really dont do much drinking now that I got older. I have become mellow in my years. I was hell on wheels when I was a young man. Dont even know how I lived to talk about it now. In the day we were all partying like there would never be any tomorrow. Guess what? Tomorrow got here anyway. So if you younger crowd wishes to enjoy a good drink now and again, I say, enjoy it while it lasts. For no thing lasts forever!! Yes life goes on and on, long after the thrill of living has gone. But lately I've gotten most of my kicks listening to Alizée and watching her videos.

Edit:

FYI moment, the first Coca Cola product when it came out,,,, had cocaine in it, not caffiene. And Im sure they still have a cocaine drink in Central America too.

And there is nothing wrong with keeping to that pledge.

I'm 46, and have avoided both my entire life. I'm not Mr. goody goody. I just decided at a young age to not follow those paths. I don't judge those who do, and carry on perfectly fine relations with those who do. It's not hard to stop if you never start.

But I have my vices. I love high fructose corn surup (aka cola), and consume liberally. It doesn't give me a buzz, but it does contribute to the bulge. I also enjoy a goodly amount of lateral and longitudinal G, courtesy of more horsepower than a car should have. And for my final vice, I must confess....I'm 46 years old....and I'm here.....:p
