What's obvious is that she could never appraoch Alizée; but I'll give her an E for effort for having a costume recreation which isn't too bad and for keeping the dance moves relatively in time which, let's give her some credit, isn't easy (go on boys, you try it:p). The most painful part, though, has got to be the voice... ugh.

Taking in account that this girl is no professional singer nor dancer, it's not that bad. Remember that she dances and sings live. Without hundreds of hours experience and practice of both, you just can't do it just right.

It is actually sad that Alizée makes it look so easy. But so it is easy for her. She has dancer background and she doesn't even really sing the song when performing ! And see has countless of hours of practice on that dance...

So, it's bit sad that this great fan can't do what her idol can. She really tries but it's not hard to understand that it's impossible for her to do it just right. But she did good job in the available circumstances. And atleast she had guts to do it in national TV show (broadcasted on France 3 channel).

Who believes to do better job in couple weeks practice, I'd like to see. Upload your videos by the end of February and we'll see who here can do even half as good as her.


And to who ever asked... No, her name is not Alizée. She is called Morganne.

The performances is from 3rd of December, 2003. And the show is C'est Mon Choix. And they showed doubles (sosie in French) of celebrities. She also sang JPVA from which I don't think we have video, not even low quality one (the JEAM performance exists in HQ).


She did great job and I really respect her effort.

I agree with RMJ, I think this girl did a really nice job! The best I've seen (and yes, I've seen several Alizée impersonators, and no that's not counting the male ones!). And she's not a damn stripper/pornstar.* She's even better than one or two honest professional look-a-likes who impersonate Alizée for a living (kid's birthday parties etc.).** And best of all she's likely a real fan, unlike those others who do it for money. This girl went out and made her own costume, learned the dance and lyrics, everything. Of course she's not a pro, but I wouldn't mind meeting her, she seems quite sweet! :o

Yeah... the whole moi lolita on some French idol show, that was pretty painfull. Plus the two chicks were quite ugly, and a guy performing moi lolita just made me laugh.

I was only able to sit through the first three words of this girl... sure she might be good... in the future, after years of practice and dance lessons, but as for right now she should stick to lip sync technique. Now excuse me but i need to go watch the real thing to rid my mind of that.:blink:

While the true professionals make everything they do look easy, it almost makes the audience think..."Hey, I could do that just as well". It's not until someone else tries it, whatever "it" may be, that they find out just how hard it really is.
It should be apparent to everyone, just how fit and in shape Alizée must be to do those dance routines. You can hear her breathing deeply after some performances, even though she may be lip-sincing to the lyrics for part of the song.
I give these amateurs credit for having the guts to get up in front of a live audience and perform, but there really is no substitute for the real Alizée in any way, shape, or form.
While some people think Alizée's voice may not be all that great, one can surely see now that she in fact does have a great voice, with a great tonality and style to it that takes years to obtain.
Watching these amateurs only makes me appreciate Alizée that much more. You don't know what you really have until you don't have it anymore!

Hmm well I'd have to say I personally thought it was pretty good, for an amateur and a fan of Alizée. I know I could definitley not do as well, at least with the dancing part. Come on people, give the girl some credit, sure she may have been off in singing, and she's not as great as a dancer as Alizée, but she at least went in front of a live audience and on TV. She at least tried her best, singing while dancing isn't easy....I mean look at Alizée, she usually doesn't sing for TV performances, and in her concert DVD she didn't even do the whole JEAM dance, the backup dancers did. Alizée is smart in knowing that dancing like that takes a lot of energy, and well....as we see from this video being out of breath while singing isn't very appealing. I know you guys would rather watch Alizée, but it's also nice to see how other fans interpret her, and it's also nice to see just how talented Alizée really is :)

The point is that she is doing something that she wanted to do, she had the nerve to step up in front of a live audience and do what she did. The posts by members such as Reuben, Azereus etc (not specifically picking just the posts I remember off the top of my head, but these aren't the only ones) epitomises for me that some of you guys just don't understand and I fear that some of you will never truely understand or appreciate REAL fans. What she did was what you Americans would call R.E.S.P.E.C.T and what she did is one of the most wonderful things a fan can do to show there appreciation.

Maybe not for you but for me it's important. And there is others for who it is important. And especially important it is for this girl that she is respected what she did.

She isn't Alizée so obviously she won't look like her. No matter what she did. She only wanted to imitate her idol, sing her song and imitating her looks as closely as she could. Hair do, make up and outfit is pretty much all she can do at physical level. To her voice she can't much, it is what it is. Maybe with some years of training of singing, she might get slightly better results, but no guarantees. To her dancing he might be able to do something if she'd keep practicing months. This might have been her first dance ever she has learned, based on her rather young look and roughness of her movements. So, excuse her, if she doesn't do perfect job compared to professional !

I do not look like Alizée either and still I'd appreciate if my efforts to show my respect to my beloved girl would not be laughed at my face and told to be piece of shit (tho, I can take it, it's not really a problem to me). Criticism is always welcomed and should be taken as is, but telling someone that one's poem blows balls or wp sucks ass or dance makes you throw up isn't criticism anymore. It's plain insult. And it hurts when it's insult to what one have done from heart. And it's even worse when it comes from the mouth of another "fan" who is supposed to share the passion.

Fans do what they do because they feels so in their heart. They wants to show how much they care about their object of fandom. If they does not sing like professional singer, nor dance like professional dancer, nor write poems like professional poet, nor create graphics like professional graphic artist, who gives a shit ?! It's the fucking thought that counts ! The effort you put into it to show what and who you adore...

These jokers who you see on youtube etc. making fun of her performances and and songs with their "funny" home vids are whole another thing. Even tho they can be art as is, they are far from this girl's effort.
