Does Alizee want us to know which wedding chapel she got married in to Jeremy here in Las Vegas? Does she want me to post a picture of the wedding chapel?
I live in Las Vegas and I could find out.. just takes a little investigating. But would Alizee want that known?
I wouldn't want to offend her. Can someone close to Alizee ask if its okay if I post a picture of the wedding chapel she got married in?

Hey man... You have to got understand that I don't know Alizee... I just met her one time, for a few minutes, that's all. It's kind of like being in Lost Wages and running into some celebrity and getting to talk to them for a few minutes. I also ran into Dwayne Dog Chapman "The Bounty Hunter" while waiting in a line at Disneyland last year and got to talk to him too. But that doesn't mean that I know him. By the way... he's bigger than he looks on TV.
If you've got the chapel picture then post it. I don't see how anyone, including Alizee, could get offended at that. And I really doubt that Alizee will ever read any of our posts, she no doubt goes to the French Alizee fan websites. Although she does speak a little English, it's not that great. She said she was learning English when I met her. That's why my French friend, Achille, had to translate some of her answers to the questions I asked her. It's been almost a year now so maybe she speaks English much better. But who knows....not me.

I dont have the picture of the wedding chapel right now.. but with a little investigating and leg work.. i am sure i could find out.. and then take a picture of it and post it for everyone.
But like i said... it was very private.. maybe she doesn't want anyone to know. I need to speak directly with Alizee.

Matrix... who goes to Lost Wages for a private wedding? Alizee and Jeremy probably didn't go to LV to get married but probably got caught up in all the excitement and because they were madly in love decided to tie the knot then and there. Probably a quick but thoughtless decision driven by hormones.
If I would've been there I would have lied and told them that it was an American tradition that witnesses get to kiss the bride. Place...WoW! Bam! Slam! Zongo! and other Batman noises here. She would have got a real wet one planted on her!!! Hmmm... maybe it's good that she kept it a secret because of just such circumstances.

dude excaliber is awesome sorry if im a little off topic but I like playing al those games and winning stuff, since I can't gamble I may as well act like a big kid with my friends.
Actually, their marriage certificate says they were married in the "Canterbury Wedding Chapel", which is part of the Excalibur. No idea if Alizée minds that we know that, but it's a little piece of public info that's kinda hard to suppress. You can get copies of the paper work from the Clark County marriage office, and several fans have.

update... thanks to snatcher42 found out the little table with the candles and marriage certificate and album covers of jeremy and alizee was a fan creation, lol

That's sweet, they both got their album covers on the table stand next to the candles and marriage certificate. I didn't realize the Excalibur casino had their own wedding chapel.
Heh heh, that's not Alizée and Jérémy's creation... that was made by a crazy fan on MFI... ;)
So, has the marriage between Jeremy and Alizee been made legal in France?
Who knows... though I don't see why they wouldn't. We had a long discussion on AF about the difficulty of doing so, and it turns out... not so hard. Just some paper work.

im just gonna go with what somebody else said. they were probably in vegas just for fun and they decided to get married when they were there. it wasn't something that was planned out.

Well what do you count as a "regular wedding"? They probably came to Vegas to avoid the press attention in France.

Also, I doubt she'd agree to an off the cuff wedding. She seems to family oriented in her personal life to make a rash decision.

Yeah snatcher42 is probably right, they wanted to keep it low key, cuz they celebrities in France and wanted to avoid the press. I'm sure they both thought that over carefully.
So much speculation, if we only knew, if we could only have Alizee come on here and give us the scoop.

Would it have anything to do with the fact that she was Catholic and he was Jewish? I'm sure they have many marriages of similar circumstances in France, but it may have played a part in the decision.
Maybe there was a lot of family in-fighting over where their marriage took place. Her family wanting it in a church, his in a temple ( if that's where Jewish couples get married?). So they decided to end the discussions ( or was it arguements?), by flying to Vegas.

Excellent point, I hadn't thought of that.
I always imagine that they just went on a little secret vacation and it was a spur of the moment thing.

My parents eloped and got married in Winchester Virginia at a JP. Mom was a Catholic and dad a Presbyterian. The Priest at her Church refused to marry them when he found out she was planning on marrying someone other than a Catholic. The Priest was so mad when he found out she had married a Presbyterian he threw her out of his church. This btw was back in 1946.
With Alizée and Jérérmy I'm betting it was more of a spontaneous decision as well as keeping the whole thing low key. Can you imagine with their popularity at the time (2003) the circus the media and paparazzi would have created around their wedding?
Lastly did you guys check out the room rates at the Excalibur?
How cheap can you go to get people to stay there. :eek:
Around the same dates in November that Alizée was there, 5 nights for $568 for the second best room, view of the strip, with a two person jacuzzi. $320 with out the jacuzzi.

A question just came to mind about the whole wedding thing and I was wondering, how did they do the wedding vows and the "I do's" part? In english? French? Did the guy/woman marrying them speak english? French? Was there a translator maybe? I guess I'm really just wondering how they conduct weddings for foreigners in Vegas that don't speak english?
I know it's not really any of my business nor will I probably ever know for sure but it's just something interesting to think about how it all happened and went down.

Marriage records are public.
There are all sorts of reasons why you may wish to retrieve someone's marriage record. Most states consider this to be public information and will release it to anyone. Information in the record will include the names and addresses of the bride and groom, dates and places of birth, bride's maiden name, information about previous marriages and how they ended, person performing the ceremony, names of witnesses, and signatures of the bride and groom. If you cannot find a marriage certificate at the county level, you can contact the state and ask for a search. Usually, you will have to specify which years you would like searched.

Just to keep everything in perspective, A&J got married on a lark while visiting Las Vegas. Not only did they keep it secret, she didn't even reveal the identity of her "boyfriend" in an interview conducted after the wedding. They remain unmarried under French law. (A really good question is what is Annily's last name? Some day that at least will become known.) Alizée calls herself either married or single according to convenience.
(So if some guy hits on her, she can be either single or married according to whether she likes him or he's a jerk. Neat trick! :cool:)
