Hi
I was wondering if someone can help as I'm kinda new to computers and the net in general. What software is good for making movies like the " JEAM Compilation" video by trenuc.

I have "windows movie maker" that came with Windpws XP home and its not so good at getting at the exact spot of certain clips that I want. Its just seems to randomly break up the clips. I'm asking cause I wanna try at making an Alizee video to the music of Madonna. I know Alizee is a big fan of hers so I wanna compile some clips of Alizze to Madonna new song "get together"

I tried to import Alizee clips to the windows movie maker right and I got this error message

"C:\Documents and Settings\Paul\My Documents\Alizee\Alizée - 2003-06-27 - Performance - J'ai Pas Vingt Ans - Absolument Été (By John Doe).mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from"

The Wikipedia page for Movie Maker has several external links to check out.

Very helpful is this external link to a "how-to" video tutorial, which was how I started playing around with the program.

The "how-to" video tutorial pretty cool. Bunch of things that you can do!

The moviemaker is a nice program (plus it's free) except for the fact it's not the most complete. I'm new as well in the area of clip/movie making. I just started playing around with it and I've realized that it's very straightforward the more you use it. However, it doesn't seem to work well with certain video formats. I'd recommend using primarily AVI video files. It does accept MPEGs as well but it causes some kind of conflict when you try to play the timeline.

I'm using it to create an Alizee tribute video. It's my first video of any kind. I'll post it here when it's done which should be soon. I'm about 2/3 of the way finished.
