I have another passion besides Alizée and that is poker. I have been playing for several years now, mostly in casinos in NY, but since i moved to Atlanta, I have played almost exclusively online. Anyway, after playing hundreds of thousands of hands over the years, I finally got a royal flush tonight, my first. These are very rare and are the highest possible hand in poker. If anyone has questions, ask.

Nice, I've actually never seen that happen in real life.

Wasn't very smart of him to go all in with just a straight... All you needed was a diamond to win. But then again, maybe the way you played didn't show you were looking for a flush.

Way to go. You managed to win quite a bit with the better hand :D

Story time. I was in grade 9 and a few friends and I were playing poker in the library (needless to say we weren't allowed). One of us managed a royalflush and that was it. Our clandestine cover was blown. Detention. :D

Edit: Actually, he was trying to bluff you and got lucky! and then unlucky. haha

Nothing on that hand, it was a $5 4 peep HU shootout, that was round one. I won round 2 as well for $20 and made about $170 that night. I do not prefer online, I struggle to even turn a profit, but the home games I have found so far around Atlanta do not suit me. I used to play I guess professionally in NY (I was unemployed for 8 months and made my rent at the poker tables). Turning Stone Casino in Vernon, NY was 30 minutes from my home in Syracuse and I would play there 5-6 days/week. I used to make about $1000/week on average (some weeks much more, and of course some I would lose $).

i made quite a bit of money on partypoker.com, but I quit playing after they blocked US residents from depositing money.

how are you getting your money into fulltilt?

Grats on the sweet hand - never seen a real one before. Seen a couple Straight Flushes, but never a Royal.
