Do try to be understanding, Amelie. It's a rare boy your age who can be pierced to the heart by such beauty and not develop at least a bit of a stammer, and a tendency to trip over his feet or become totally inarticulate is not unlikely. Just take it for the well-deserved compliment that it is. Most of them will catch their breaths eventually. ;)

Me too! When I was a kid, I had a pet tarantula for a while that I found in the New Mexico desert. I would let it crawl on my arm and scare people, it was great fun! I had to let it go, though, because I didn't know how to feed it.

Just from the posts here in this thread you seem very poise and confident about yourself. Forgive me for comparing... but you remind me of the same qualities Alizee had about that age. A very strong woman that knows who she is and what she likes/dislikes. Many men maybe intimidated by someone like you, but I think that's an attractive asset and very appealing.
I'd also like to add that you present yourself well by your how you express you quotes. You post clear and thought out notes and seem well respected by others.

They usually are, though. We don't get many tornados out here, but in Illinois they're common (esp. downstate) and I bet Rocket's opinion is widely shared.

Now me, I kind of like a good exciting earthquake. But I acknowledge that's a bit perverse. :)

I'll third that recommendation! I frequently just play that waterfall portion of the vid at 90 inches, and sit slack-jawed about six feet away. It is one of the most impressive bits of showmanship I've ever seen.

I played that section and the complete entrance sequence for some musically inclined friends - they were quite impressed.
