View Full Version : Exercising Copyright Rights?
Could be something....could be nothing.
For the first time since I've been saving YouTube URLs one of my Alizée links came back with the YouTube error message stating copyright infringement.
It could just be a hiccup in the system, or it could mean someone is beginning to exercise their copyright rights. If someone with "rights" is taking notice, that could be suggestive of other activity in the works (e.g., preparation for the launch of a new album, maybe?).

I would imagine it has something to do with that big lawsuit against YouTube a week or two ago. The company suing them demanded that YouTube delete everything that they held the copyrights on. I can't remember who the company was, but it's one of the big ones.
Edit: I believe the company suing is Viacom. It's a billion dollar lawsuit.

I continue to get Mylene Farmer videos deleted from my favorites on YouTube because of copyright infringements. Anytime I save the Deschentee video, it gets removed from YouTube for copryright violations

Haven't Youtube'd Alizée in a while... That first JEAM video is really getting hits though. Not so long ago, a few weeks maybe, it only had 1.2mil views. Now it had 1.4mil. Go Alizée !!
But let's hope these errors are more than system errors :D

Sweet :D
Thanks garçoncanadien, I have been to busy to go digging myself for download links for videos like that.
PS: Anybody else know of any master lists for good quality video download links for good music, preferably the stuff that usually isn't readily available through P2P networks.
And I usually just use this Firefox extension (download here:http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php) to save any YouTube flv's that I want so that it doesn't matter if they are removed or not. And if you have a good player (I am testing out KMP to see if I will switch from MPC) you can queue them up and with some like KMP use video filters to clean them up and improve the quality (although if a high quality video exists, as they do for Alizée, definitely get it).
