I'm a new Alizee fan and really enjoy her music (although I don't speak a bit of French)... I'm more into the 'tonal' quality and the feel of the music.

I have run streaming internet radio stations before for clients and was wondering if anyone was interested in me putting together something for our favorite artist. No charge of course... just for the pleasure of it! I'll have to check into the licensing to see if it falls under my existing umbrella, but at first glance it looks to be OK.

Please let me know what you think,

I use Pandora and Last.fm, but they don't have Alizee. I'd like to listen to some other artists too, though.

Is it possible to do streaming video? You know, link up all the videos and play them one after the other to play continuously? It not, music would certainly be nice.

i wonder if there would be legal issues with a internet radio station?

I own SAM Broadcaster from Spacial Audio. GREAT piece of software!!(http://www.spacialaudio.com/products/sambroadcaster/)
You can take a look at what it looks like at http://www.bandfans.com/samweb/playing.php

Note that there is nothing streaming at the moment, so the pages are not updating with new songs.

In the past I used a seperate server cluster than the one I use to host my client's web sites for the streaming. At the level I was paying, I could have 25 connections to a 96mbps mp3PRO stream. I can add more connections as needed.

Let me know if you are interested and we can talk more offline.

I stand corrected. While the last.fm player will not play the Alizee radio because of a lack of content, it will sometimes play her songs on the artists similar to Lorie radio. The player is only really useful if you want to hear artists similar to another artist. If you want to listen to Alizee, you might as well play her songs on WMP. Even if you play her songs on WMP Last.fm (with a plugin) can track the songs and scrobble them to your last.fm profile. For example, every one of the songs on my recent tracks list was played in Windows Media Player and they're still recorded on my charts (http://www.last.fm/user/RadioManS3/charts/?charttype=recenttracks).

Last.fm is great for expanding the range of music that you listen to. Even though the last.fm player wont play the radio station for artists similar to Alizee, you can still find those artists by exploring their website (http://www.last.fm/music/Aliz%C3%A9e) and by seeing what people who listen to her songs also enjoy.

I put in a request with Pandora's "Music Genome Project" to add Alizée to their site. They said it might take a while to add new requests, though.

You can also stream my show on Friday...I'm probably going to play only 1 or 2 Alizée songs, though.
