Can anyone tell me the name of the singer that leads Alizée down the stairs in the video of Les Enfoirés? He's the bald dude with a cut in his eyebrow. He also appears in Natasha St. Pier's music video Tu trouveras. I really like his voice.

Thanks,
lowbeam

Yup, it's Pascal. And excellent singer indeed. Try to get some of his CDs and you'll notice it. :) He also nice variety of songs (well, he has long career), and style has changed somewhat during the years.

One of my all time favorites is Mourir Demain duet with NSP. It´s just rocks ! I so hope to see him in Paris during NSP's concert but he didn't make it to the concerts I went to. :( He was on NSP's tour on the first part on 2006 but not the latter part of the tour. Not even at l'Olympia at the end of the tour. :( Oh well, maybe some other time...

Mourir Demain:

Well, it´s mostly Natasha's song but they are just awesome together.

Watched Mourir Demain - Thanks for the link to the video, excellent song and two great voices. Love the way Alizée and her fans lead me into a world I didn't know existed. I'm already looking for more NSP, now I have Pascal to add.

Hehe, the usual story. :)

That's how I found the whole French music genre too. Alizée dragged me deep into it. :)

And I'm happy for it. :)

There are those who would take a plane
Others that would close themselves in with eyes shut
You, what would you do {x2}
There are some who would want to see the sea again
Others who would want to fall in love again
Just one last time
You, you’d do what? … and you, you’d do what?

If we had to die tomorrow
What would we do more
What would we do less
If we had to die tomorrow
Me, I will love you… me, I will love you

There are some who would live their past again
Some that would drink and party until dawn
Others who would pray… {x2}
Those who are fed up and would give themselves pleasure
And others who would still want to leave
Before the end
You, what would you do? … and you, what would you do?

If we had to die tomorrow
What would we do more
What would we do less
If we had to die tomorrow
Me, I will love you… me, I will love you

And you, tell me, if you would love me
Until tomorrow and every day afterwards
That nothing, no nothing, will ever stop
If we had to die tomorrow
Me, I will love you… me, I will love you
Would we be doing some harm, some good
If we had until tomorrow
To live everything that we have dreamed of
If we had to die tomorrow
Me, I will love you… me, I will love you

:D thanks GC!

Pascal Obipso! Legend. And his biggest hit, Lucie, was written by Lionel Florence who has also worked with Jérémy Chatelain.

Here are some other cool clips!

With Zazie at Les Enfoires 2005, covering the Mylene Farmer song Désenchantée:

1980 with my girl Melissa Mars:

And a video I made about being tear gassed by the Police on New Years 05 in Paris (true story), using his song Zinédine:

RMJ - just watched the video Mourir Demain, and its a great video. I have like NSP ever since I saw L'important C'est D'aimer duet with Lili. I would go so far as to say that its the best NSP video i've seen other than LCD. Thanks for the linky! :)

He kind of tries too hard... :(

Who was trying to hard - Only bad part about that video was the super fast cuts, and the number of cuts that bothered me. :(

Other than that, great. I've seen Pascal Obispo before, and I don't know if its just the ones I've seen of him or what, but I think he really puts effort into his music - he reaches for more than just "a song" - IMHO. :)

Couple questions for you about the Tear Gassing thing.

1. It looked like they were firing fireworks directly under the tower? Or did i see that wrong?

2. Why did everyone end up getting teargassed? Anyone know, or were the police "celebrating" in their own special way?

3. Nice video - and good song (sigh) guess i'm going to have to start buying Pascal's stuff now too! :P

Well, not rockets legally for sure. Maybe smaller fire crackers. Tho I couldn't find the vid right now, dunno in which folder it is so can't check what's going on there.

Prolly just too many people in too little area, with fireworks involved it can get rather dangerous so it's better spread out the mass.

Tho the mass coulda gotten too restless, too.

It's just done to prevent injuries.

I've gone down the rabbit hole. Alizée (always the One and Only) leads to Natasha St Pier. I buy the music video Tu trouveras from Itunes, get hooked on her, who's the guy singing with her? Pascal Obipso, now I'm listening to him also. Where will this lead? What has she done to me?

Thank you Alizée!

No... I don't think there's anyone who fits that description.

Yeah, small ones fired by people.

Yeah, the crowd was getting restless and some people were throwing bottles (we saw one woman hit in the face). Not us, of course, but then they just tear gassed everyone to break it up.

Where will this lead?
It will lead to listening to several dozen French artists. I could give you a list?

Snatcher42,

A list would be nice.
Thank you
