Picture design contest!!

Title: You participate and win the CD MES COURANTS ELECTRIQUES
Form and rules: Be a user of Alizée-America
Participate in a design contest dedicated to Alizée, it can be a wallpaper, design (scanned), photo montage, or whatever idea in a design.
The contest starts from this date and we will accept designs until the 3 of June, We will announce the winner in the post on the 4th of June,
The designs should be sent to: jacoteypaco@hotmail.com. And I will receive them until the 3rd of June.
The winner will be notified in this space and I will send the prize to whatever part of the world the winner is in, and I will ask the address of all winners.

Ummm, you do know there are other programs beside PhotoShop right? :rolleyes:

If you're financially challenged or just can't justify spending that much money for PS, there are a couple of freeware/open source products:
1. The GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/)
2. GIMPShop (http://gimpshopdotnet.blogspot.com/) (supposedly mimics PS layout)
3. Paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html)
4. MS Paint that comes with Windows

Try them out, although I'd recommend you Google tutorials on the product you're using and just have fun until you get the hang of it. ;)

The painting is not mine. However i photoshopped it. The real one had an indian war chief on it for the american pilots. If they did have Alizee, i think they couldve just flown over germany and everybody would forget what they were even fighting for. Thus they would lay their arms down and the war would be over instantly.

:eek:Wow!:blink: That's frickin' awsome! I love things like this that take a different tack in style than what would normally be expected. And I really like the subtle approach. It isn't ALIZÉE! in your face, but in that way it is perhaps more profound by being placed in a rich connatative environment. That, and knowing your connection to aviation, c-dawg777, I think it is very fitting from you ;)

Created my submission and sent it to the email.
Its a wallpaper, 1920x1200 resolution for widescreen monitors. Pretty simple design, I've never been a big fan of a lot of "frills" on my wallpapers. Unfortunately, its 2mb and too large to upload to photobucket, so if would you like to view you have to download it off of mediafire. Even just uploading it to mediafire seems to have damaged the quality a bit. :mad: I'm sorry about that!

EDIT: Screw Mediafire, Moe let me upload to his FTP (thanks man!) Its a big .png now and you may have to give it a second to load, click the + zoom on the picture and voila! :) Enjoy.

Mediafire doesn't change quality of anything. The original file is downloadable as it was uploaded there.

Well, it looks fine on my comp as the original, but then I upload it to mediafire and download and the text starts to look a little grainy. =/

No worries though, I'm gonna to export it again, this time as a .png and upload it to a ftp and post a link soon.

If you are comparing it to the original pdf file then of course it looks different since it's jpg compressed.

But mediafire has nothing to do with that. They only provides place for the file.

You can save smaller resolution file of it but the original is available too.

No, I was comparing the original jpg on my computer (pre-upload) to the one that I downloaded (post-upload) from mediafire after uploading. The post-upload was significantly worse in terms of quality. :blink:
Oh well, it doesn't matter now. The WP is now in a .png format and hosted on the FTP.

well, sometimes they come from the top of my head but usually i work with a picture till i am satisfied with it :D sometimes without any idea :D
