I'm interested to know what you guys think of T.A.T.U. I mean, who can forget their 2003 MTV (USA) Awards Performance? If some of you don't know who they are, here's a clip from a live MTV Russia Performance. How would you guys feel about Alizee performing with them??? Maybe they could do an english song? I was never really a huge fan of the whole "faux lesbian" act (they admitted it was all for show later).

I actually like another Russian techno act, Demo quite a bit. Their big breakout was "Solnyshko".

That is the only one I've seen. Its alright, I kind of like the remix version of Lui ou toi playing, but not nearly as much as the original. I'm not a big Tatu fan, but at least the video portion of that link seemed to favor Alizee a bit more.

TaTu is great, Julia(or Yulia as its actually pronounced, the dark hair one) Can hit the high notes without straining, Lena(or Lenka I believe is how her name is really pronounced) I heard she has more of a classically trained voice and she can also hit high notes but it sounds Different. If you listen to Not gonna get us you will hear Julia more, then if you listen to All about us you can hear how lena does, they both have beautiful voices they too are about to release another album I have heard a song of their album and of course it's great. In some sort of way I can see Alizee and Tatu doing a song together because all three of them have great voices, but I think it should be a slow song just my opinion.

Yes to both questions there :p

I like a lot of their music, but I'm just not a big fan of the whole "let's make out every other song" thing they do. I have no problem with lesbians, I wouldn't want a straight duo couple making out every song either...just seems like that is the way they market themselves for more publicity... Just not my thing.

Just my opinion though, not to take anything away from them...they are still talented singers :)

However, that is not the concept that is behind their band name. Their band name consists of two Russian words put together: TA and TU. Using these words in the same sentence in a contextual translation means "she does her", or "one girl does another girl". As you can see, this goes very well with the lesbian image that they used for their debut album.
