new member here. hy all. ive been watching Alizee videos on the web for bout a year now.found this sight the other day and decided to register.
well ill start by saying that this is the first time a girl has taken me like this.
its insane. i wake up in the morning and i watch a few videos of Alizee before going off to work then when i get home i watch a few more. well more like i watch them till i go to bed.:p i just cant believe this. this has never happend to me before.and the worst part is that i know its piontless.
i have deleted videos of her i had and also deleted my bookmarks to pages with videos of her in an atempt to just forget her but it hasnt worked.i cant stop thinking about her. its a real problem. i mean how can i ever have another girlfriend or get married knowing that this girl is out thier.all day ta work i think about her.all day at home i think about her.
well in conclusion i must ask, how do u guys sleep at night knowing this girl is out thier?
I'm a rather spiritual person and I use meditation and thought control to make sure I don't go through what many other men go through because of her.

I always play her songs when I'm about to sleep. They play all night so that she's the first and last thing that I hear every day (except for that night that I woke up to Motley Crue, but that was because I forgot to put my PSP on group mode).
I don't consider it pointless. It's not like I have anything better to do.
I listen to her at night as well. I find her voice very soothing. I hope her new album is going to be great, looking for more songs to add to my "sleep" playlist.
heh i read the defintion of Limerence and jeez it makes it sound like i got a mental issue or somthing. although emidietly after reading it described as more of as a sphycoligical thing and not real feelings its allready calmed me some what.
i wonder if Alizee knows what she is doing to guys all over the world?
i also wonder what exactly it is about her thats doing it.
I believe it's her image of innocence. In today's society, we get pop stars and celebrities that are naked and having sex on stage, we aren't used to some one who is pretty clean in most aspects. She's not overtly sexual and is very reserved, something people aren't used to.
She's beautiful, talented, and a wonderful person. That's a 10 in my book.
And yeah, Limerence is a hard thing to get over, but the feeling one gets when you're free from it is very relaxing and well... freeing.
Just give it some time and try your best to not let her get to you and you'll be okay. Just avoid the saying "I love her". After a while you could end up believing it.
well after reading through the article about limerence on wikpidia it seems it is almost desribed as more of a condition and or problamatic.and also im almost positive this is what im experiencing.the articale also makes me sound like a sphyco or something.

But yeah, the limerence article has helped me at times as well. Luckily however, I found a moderation between liking Ali's music and enjoying her videos and obsessing. Fine line when it comes to her however, so be careful.

I have a mix with mostly Ali with "Satelite" by Dave Matthews Band, "Keepin' it real" By Shaggy, "You and I" by Michael Bublé, and "Lullaby" by Assemblage 23. Edited to add: And the opening theme of Final Fantasy X
The only song of Ali's that's not on there is La Isla Bonita and that's only because the version I have of that one was recorded with more sensitive equipment than her other songs so it tends to be louder and with more bass.
As much as I like Ali, there are a couple of songs of hers that annoy me. Abacadabra with that damn cat and when I hear Mon Maquis, I feel like I should be sacrificing a goat...

What about me?? In my field of work, not only do I have a chance of meeting her, but I might actually work with her. Seeing her on a day to day basis? You might just hear on the news that I might have hung myself.

That would be something- going to a shrink to get over Alizee and causing him to obsess over her instead.

Oh, snapple. I didn't mean to make it seem like I'm an audio engineer or anything, I just made a playlist of her with alot of her songs with a dash of a few other artists.

Don't think of it that way. Think of it as the first Alizee album where she gets a real say in the direction of the music. For the first two, Mylene and Laurent were pulling all the strings. I don't care if they included that line about how she's allergic to zucchinis in J'en Ai Marre...Alizee had no creative control.
Everyone knows that women, especially hot women, can get their men to do anything...so Alizee is going to have much more input into the third album than she did with her first two.

Flipping the camera off is something an average celebrity would do. I just held Ali up to a higher standard than most celebrities. Sometimes I forget she's just human.

I'm not sure what you mean but I think the person is only photographing her while she wanted not to be recognized and shot. It's her private life he's stealing.

IMO he was either following Alizee around for a few blocks or waiting by the store when she went in, which would be stalking, hence the kind of reaction that he got from her.
BTW, Alizee did an exceptionally fine job masking her appearance that day. You have to look really carefully to recognize her in those photos.

I don't know what the laws in France are regarding this stuff, but here in the US everyone (including famous people) can be freely photographed in public. Now if paparazzi trespasses onto their private property, then it's a very different story. In that case, Alizee went out of her way to disguise herself as a regular girl so that she can quietly go about her business, yet the guy who took the pictures recognized her and started photographing her against her wishes. What he did was certainly not illegal, but highly immoral and unethical, hence Alizee's reaction.
Not that I am defending these pararazzi scum (in fact, I despise them for blatantly disrespecting people's privacy and wishes), but unfortunately, being famous comes with the fact that you will have to endure this kind of stuff.

LOL really? i never heard of Alec Baldwin beating up a paparazzi guy but i would have paid to see it. Alizee does a good job at disguising urself for sure. Paparazzi's arent just at the right place at the right time, someone has to tip them off as to where celebrities are and what theyre wearing, etc. So he either got information from some dickhead, who's just as much of a scum as the paparazzi themselves, or he got extremely lucky.

I saw that one on TV, it was right after she split up with John Stamos and the paparazzi said something like "No wonder your husband left you!". That's rough, but if she DID do anything, the paparazzi guy wins, he gets the lawsuit AND a lucrative story. As sad as it is, it's what sells, so paparazzi will coax celebrities anyway they can, and people just eat it up. Just some of the pressures of being in the spotlight, I can't imagine how bad things can be on a daily basis, my heart goes out to 'em. That's why Alizée is such a gem, she has the world thinking she is their property, but she always keeps a smile on her face.

Funny reading new posts from people who have been snared by Alizee and captured by her charms. I always get a kick out of this. We are all in the same boat man, just enjoy the ride and feel fortunate she was born in your lifetime

Yes, my first reaction was, I don't sleep! Secondly, for all you new and young guys, the way to deal with it regarding other women is just to wait until you get to a certain age, having gone through several layers of despair of ever finding a woman you can be happy with and vice versa, come to accept your fate, and finally realize that you aren't interested in women anymore because you'll never find the likes of Alizée. (well, ok, maybe it doesn't quite happen like that, but sort of)

Well...I think about her allot, but in a good way. She makes my day much better, when I think that this world is just to bad, I think of Lili, and its all better again, the sky is blue again, knowing that there is people like her in this world. It makes me want more for me in this world. Now I'm a student in one of the hardest university in the country.I can deal with this. I want to be respected, to have a great job, and travel allot, just to see all the miracles in this world....like alizee...she opened my ayes.

:eek: 1st 48hrs=Both eyes peeled. No sleep, thanks to Brad's videos and You tube
;) One month=One eye gets sleep while other eye absorbs Lili knowledge
:blink: 1st Qtr=Absorption period on auto, experiencing slow blinking problem at work
:cool: 6 months deep=Gone JBG with the shades so nobody can see my sleep deprived eyes
:mad: :( 9 months=Serious mood swings unless it deals with Alizee
:o 1 yr=Closer to 8 hrs sleep, but still staying up late on Alizee America. Can get adequate sleep because everything in life is now related to Lili.
:rolleyes: :wub: 1.5 yrs to present day=Totally oblivious to everything in life short of the latest Lili news. Short-term memory and concentration problems still prevail...like when the light turned green at a 4-way intersection, I start thinking how I need to put away more Greenbacks for my trip to Lili's concert...off to La-La XXXX...Lili-land

It sounds to me like she isn't good enough for you, not the other way around.
You should just not have anything to do with her if you really want closure. She'll lose interest when she can no longer control you.
I know that's the hardest thing ever when you really care about someone. It's also easy to toss advice at you from the outside looking in. Sorry about that.
In the end, it's up to you to decide what to do. I just hope it works out for you and you meet someone who cares about you as much as you do about them.
After all, I think that's what most people are really looking for in a relationship.

Hey, congrats on that. I'm going on 20 and haven't had any sort of relationship with anyone of the opposite sex outside of immediate family. Needless to say, it really depresses me badly sometimes, but at this point i'm trying to accept it. Not tyring to sound miserable, I guess it's something i need to talk about at some point. I think it's one reason Alizée sucked me in so much. It's not like I was in love with anyone else, and I just found her to be the ideal woman.

new member here. hy all. ive been watching Alizee videos on the web for bout a year now.found this sight the other day and decided to register.
well ill start by saying that this is the first time a girl has taken me like this.
its insane. i wake up in the morning and i watch a few videos of Alizee before going off to work then when i get home i watch a few more. well more like i watch them till i go to bed.:p i just cant believe this. this has never happend to me before.and the worst part is that i know its piontless.
i have deleted videos of her i had and also deleted my bookmarks to pages with videos of her in an atempt to just forget her but it hasnt worked.i cant stop thinking about her. its a real problem. i mean how can i ever have another girlfriend or get married knowing that this girl is out thier.all day ta work i think about her.all day at home i think about her.
well in conclusion i must ask, how do u guys sleep at night knowing this girl is out thier?
Alizee is a once in a lifetime experience. She has captivated the attention of many people, young and old, male and female, because she is the total package.
Her face is proportionately almost perfect, her body is equally attractive and she has a very mature and soothing voice.
Not many artists have this total package that makes Alizee stand out from the rest.

I'm not hoping anything. I'd be a millionaire if I was able to make bets on all the very young couples who dive into relationships.
Unfortunately its hard to make a bet on a couple without them knowing about it which causes them to act differently.

On the days I work, I listen every day to cd's that I made up with only her songs on them, to and from work. I don't know how many times I've watched her videos at home. Her music videos, her concert, the stars a domicile shows, her interviews. But I don't fantasize about her. I know even if I was the same age as her, I wouldn't have any kind of chance with her even if she was single. If I could have one wish, I'd wish for one of two things. To have been in the front row of one of her concerts at the Olympia. What an awesome concert. I've never seen a concert with so many songs that I liked.
The other thing I might wish for is for her to get back together with Mylene Farmer and Laurent Boutanant and back to the way she dressed and wore her hair in those early years. It wouldn't have to be with lyrics or outfits that were overly sexy that Alizee wants to get so far away from. Mylene Farmer wrote some of her songs that were very classy, like L'Alize and A Conte Courant and in several of her videos she was very classily dressed.
But I realize she has changed her looks, and the music she sings. To me, she'll probably never put out music that reaches the great quality of what she put out in her early years. So I'm just going to be thankful for all the great songs she has done so far.

im really hoping that it'll wear off. NOT that i don't like Alizee, its.. just that its consuming so much of my time and thoughts! GAAAHHH!
i do the same. sort of. like, when i have to get up for PT in the morning, i'll just get up about 10 minutes earlier than usual so that i can watch a video or hers, or listen to a couple songs before i go and such.. and whenever i get on my laptop, the first thing i do is turn on JPVA, then check facebook and here.

I know Alizée-induced insomnia very well. I discovered her videos the week of the SAT II subject tests last year, and the night before the test, I couldn't fall asleep until 4:00!! I don't know what it was, but "Moi...Lolita" was on a constant loop in my head and I couldn't stop thinking about her :o. It goes away eventually though, I promise ;).

Well, it goes into remission, anyway...but then you eventually see a photo you hadn't seen before, or a new performance, or you just rediscover one of the songs that you maybe didn't pay much attention to before, and it flicks that switch in you all over again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
It's kind of like the Circle of Life, but without all the singing, dancing animals. :p

In my case, it was in the morning when I watched Alizée, at the very beginning. It faded faster than I thought, though. It´s never the same as it was before.
