-----------------------------------------------------------------------

you have learned ne..pas now. in this (small) topic you learn a bit more:

ne..rien = nothing
ne..jamais = never
ne..plus = not anymore
ne..personne = nobody

il n'est rien.
it's nothing.

je ne veux jamais dormir.
i never want to sleep.

je ne travaille plus dans la boulangerie.
i don't work at the bakery anymore.

il n'est personne.
it's nobody.

I'll add two more that I know, if that's okay with you. :D Please correct me if there are mistakes.

ne ... guère = hardly

Je n'ai guère compris! = I hardly understood (anything)!

ne ... aucun(e) = not ... any, no

The word "aucun(e)" must agree with the noun that it is describing. If it is describing a feminine noun, then you must include the "e." (i.e., Je n'ai acheté aucune pomme. = I did not buy any apples.)

Je n'ai acheté aucun billet.* = I did not buy any tickets.

*Unlike most negative constructions in compound tenses, the second part of the negative, "aucun(e)," does not follow the first conjugated verb. It instead goes after the second conjugated verb.
