I am so far up the geek tree I've lost the "g". When I start spouting off math and science stuff, my friends go "Eeeek...go away"!. Unless, of course, the friend is another geek, in which case they lose the "k", and go "Gee..cool".

all I have to do is look at someone to scare them,I'm 5'4" and I ran over someone that weighed 200lbs,everyone saw it,so now they're afraid, but that's not the only reason

I shall be majoring in CS, and my high school focus this year will be CS and graphic design. Of course, if I love and excel (at) the graphic design, I could always move up into that.

I'd say I'm more of a hardware person than a software person, though. I really like doing hardware tech support. It's very hands-oh, and as always the pay is great for my age.

Let me chime in as a math/CS/science/chess geek. These days of course I have interests in history, philosophy, and politics. I'm voraciously curious, lately especially about things like popular culture. Alizée, I must say, plays a good part in this curiosity. :)

As for being a math geek, etc... I think it is odd that most people consider the field emotionally barren. I've actually commented to a lot of people recently about how cerebral subjects like these bring out of human emotion and frailty exactly because of their 'emotionless' nature. The same could be said of many austere pursuits.

So, anyone here play chess much?
