She is the same age as me, thats kinda strange for some reason. I watched a lot of her interviews on youtube today, and I think Alizée might have 'lifted' a lot of her cute expressions from Audrey

lol how dare you!! alizee is cute in her own right. and she is almost the same age as me, about 8 days apart actually which is a bit strange. audrey also has that super cuteness quality that i cant describe.

lol, you are right. We need to setup some kind of cute facial expression battle between Audrey and Alizée :D

Brad, have you seen Un long dimanche de fiançailles, though? Even if Lili does beat Audrey in cuteness, Audrey is an actor, an amazing one at that. She is better at being a little less cute and a little bit more serious.

Oh wow, now I'm angry that I didn't know of Alizée when she was that popular... I get TV5 at home!

Yeah here recently I have gained a facination for Audrey myself and was from well Alizee's song and Amelie's sig and ava on here. Her cuteness started to get to me and I had to look her up and learn more about her. I still need to see the Amelie movie and I am dieing to. While Alizee is still my favorite woman in the world, Audrey has now made it to number 2.

P.S. That was a really cute interview of her Brad, thanks for the post.

I don't think she has much reason to speak English at this point. That's why we've got to get her popular in the states! :-P

I think the longest English "talking" clip we've got from her is "Bonjour La Corée, I am Alizée, you are watching my new music video 'I'm Fed Up'" from an intro to IFU in Korea (Bonjour La Corée is "Hello Korea"). I'm pretty sure she's got cue cards in that one as well, placed slightly above and to the left of the camera, from her perspective.

Anybody know of a longer talking clip? Obviously there are many of her singing in English, I can think of at least 8 songs, but not of just normal speech.

oh yes, Alizee really reminds me Audrey a lot or Audrey reminds me Alizee a lot, it's just...they are really VERY similar and i agree that maybe Alizee brought from Audrey some cute expressions, maybe when she saw "Amelie"...it's amazing that i have the same favorite movie as Alizee does and i found out that not long ago. i was "Amelie's" fan before i knew that Alizee is too :) that's awesome.

I was introduced to Audrey by the Da Vinci Code. She has this quality in her face that is what I like about her. It is this innocents. In the Da Vinci Code I couldn't take my eyes off her. I still haven't watched Amelie. I need to.

Audrey wins the facial expression battle amongst the videos posted above. I think Europeans in general add lots of expressions in their speech. It's my perception. What do you guys think.

I agree. I don't want to offend American's, but they can be very lazy when it comes to speach. I was at Mcdonalds and the woman handed me my food and I think she tryed to say "have a nice day". Instead of just saying it like you should she just opened her mouth, didn't move her lips at all and said what sounded like "hvnidy". People are so lazy they don't even try to put effort into what they say. I especially can't stand how some people say stuff like "s'up." I don't care who or what color your skin is. Stop half pronouncing words. America is destroying the English langauge.

yeah, i really think Audrey is the king of cute facial expressions.

Alizée just radiates cuteness by her mere presence though ..

She sounded great in Da Vinci Code. I would hate for her to lose that beautiful french accent she has. It adds to her cuteness.

Ok after some time I have finally seen Amélie and I love it. Sorry to revive the old topic, but I just got done watching it just now and had to comment on it. For anyone who has not seen this movie I highly suggest you to check it out and I dare anyone to even attempt to not fall absolutely in love with Audrey Tautou during this film as well. She is so great in this movie, I love her.

I'm so confused!

Where can I find this "Amelie" movie that Audrey is in?
And this is supposed to be Alizee's favorite movie?

And did this movie somehow inspired Alizee to do Amélie ma dit or have anything to do with the song at all?

And how come there's only ONE instance where Alizee sang this song live (in the en concert dvd)...

Also what the heck does this anime have to do with the song and/or movie!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=KRgcsMaMbfM
If it doesn't have anything to do with the anime, my god the song goes freaking well with it. Makes me want to go watch it.

Also does this Amélie song/movie/anime or whatever is at ALL related to OUR young Miss cyber-celeb singer Amélie?! :D :D :D

Someone help me   :(

Ok let me try to help you out lol. Amélie is short for the french movie Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain staring Audrey Tautou. You should be able to find it just about anywhere, just search for it. It is a great movie and gets good reviews from critics as well. And yes, at one time Alizée said it was her favorite movie.

It has been said there is connection to the movie and Alizée's song. I don't believe there has been anything offically saying the song was about the movie, but there are many connections to support the song is related the the movie. Here is a fan made video of Alizée's english version of her song put to the movie http://moi-alizee.us/play/?v=41.

As far as why it was only sang once live was prolly because it was not as popular as her other songs. So if she went to a do a performance somewhere they would want her to do Moi Lolita or JEAM (J'en Ai Marre) instead.

That anime has notheing to do with the movie or song. It is just some fan made movie where he used the song.

The Amélie here on the forums I am sure named herself that after the movie. It also works on a Alizée forum because of the connection between the song and the movie.

I hope the helps you out some. If you have any more question go ahead and ask them. :D

Thanks alot :)
Very enlightning!
It's slowly becoming my favorite Alizee song the more I hear it.

There anywhere I can download a high quality version of that fan made vid?

Gotta go watch that movie!....and the anime too (even tho it's unrelated) :D

Edit: God I love the english lyrics to the song

Altho I prefer the english translation of the french lyrics that's shown in the anime over the english lyrics that Lili sings...It's such poetry

Please do check out the movie though if you get the time, I'm sure you won't be disappointed it is a really good movie. Audrey is amazing in it and she is such a lovable character too.

Ok, maybe the 50th time i am telling you my nick's story. xD
At first, when i just became fan of Mylene and Alizee (my brother too), my brother said "hey, i just found a cool site with a lot of Alizee videos!" i was interested of course, i watched all the videos, then my english was pretty bad and i was too shy to join the forums, so for about...four months i didn't join the forum, because i was really afraid about my English. but then, it was October and i saw "Amelie" on the lithuanian TV channel second time (i almost forgot the movie before i saw it second time) and i got enchanted by this movie and also that month my favorite Alizee's song was "Amelie M'a Dit" and i thought that this name is perfect for me, also i chose it as my third name when i got the Confirmation (chose it a month before i saw "Amelie") so, i registrated like Amelie and it's already year how i am here and you saw how your Amelie grew up, you saw how i recorded my first song etc...i will always be Amelie :)
Audrey Tautou is my favorite actress, she has unique french beauty, very cute face expression, amazing talent and strange and unique mind...did you know, that Audrey takes pictures of each reporter who interviews her and keeps them in her scrapbook? :) she's my third love.

Well there you go Sanokun Amelie's story. Sorry for making you retell it Amelie, but I will try to remember it this time lol. :p

Also about Audrey taking pictures of her interviewer's, I think I remember her asking a interviewer if they would mind if she took their picture. I didn't really knew she did that though. Thanks for the little fact ;) . I have to agree with you about her. She is very talented actor and has such cute face expressions.
