View Full Version : If alizee does a future concert tour...

If alizee conducts future concert tours, then i would definitely be going. However, I would end up going by myself because I don't know any alizee fans in real life.

So, who here would be in favor of grouping together as Alizee America on her concert tours?

Cooney

I'd certainly be willing to do so, yes. I'll be going come hell or highwater, and if other Alizée Amérique folks are going as well... may as well team up and get noticed! I'm sure we could have a group and a banner as worthy of a wave as any!

Yeah I have the same feelings as Cooney. As i've said before, I have money in savings just waiting for the next concert.

I've been in awe of every live performance I've ever seen of hers (especially En Concert) but I discovered them 2-3 years after they actually happened. There is no way I will miss a chance to actually be a part of one live.

So of course I'd be willing to go with the friends I've met here. :)

it's good to see that lots of people are interested in going. but i was wondering, how much is everyone planning to save? (hopefully, we won't have to sleep in sleeping bags at a public park:eek: )

I wouldn't take issue with doing that. I can't afford a thousand dollar ticket let alone accommodations on top of it.

I doubt if I will be able to go to any of her concert tour for next 3 years. If she comes to US for one then I will definitely consider it otherwise it will have to wait.

Just wondering....... :D

Ed:cool:

Come hell or high water, blown out windows or destroyed cars. I have the means to get 2 or 3 grand for flight/accommodations. I would rent a double room, at least (i snore) so some peeps might be able to "crash" out, without having to resort to a public park!

Toulouse, Nice, Marseilles, Paris, wherever, whenever! Alizée Army America! Might even spend a little extra and get a bomber jacket with the Alizee Army logo on the back!

I can just hear my wife and kids laughing now . . . . "FRANCE? Your flying to France for a concert????" My answer "yep"..... :p :D

Well, live has a way of screwing with you. For the last 7 years I had a pretty stable job where I could have fairly easily taken time off and certainly the last few years, had plenty of money for such a thing and not much of anything to prevent me from going. Now, who knows. I'm considering different things including going to school full time, but it's hard to imagine after getting so worked up about her over the last 9 months or whatever that I wouldn't go to her concert. Also, whatever I do (other than spending all my money buying a new house in Corsica or something :p) if it's within the next year or so, I'm sure I'll still have however much money it costs (even if not the budget for it).
Of course, you're question is probably trying to illicit some idea of how much money it would actually cost. So, people who have made similar trips, do you have an idea?
I'm guessing around $3 thousand. My airfaire alone to New Delhi cost me $1400 (actually flew over a cloudy Paris on the way to Munich). So, what, three days min., airfaire, hotel, food, souvenirs, secure transportation of huge souvenirs, like a billboard advertising the concert, which can't be taken on a plane (ok, maybe that doesn't count), bail money for that one guy who inexplicably ends up in the clink (ok, hopefully not that either, and he'd probably have to stay anyway), ...

I'm probably going to India (gujarat) for about 10 days within a week with my dad. I've still got to buy the tickets for it and i've convinced my dad to make a stop for a few days in europe. i'm expecting the cost of tickets to gujarat, India to be around $1400 per ticket. As for all of the other expenses, it'll probably be around a couple of lakh (one lakh=100,000) rupees.

if i go for a concert tour, i'd probably save around $500/day plus the cost of tickets.

and just in case, i've got my credit card to bail me out.

btw, are you of indian origin?

edit: if anyone wants to make a lot of money, then invest in land/real estate in Gujarat, India. buying land near the outskirts of a small city has a lot of potential to increase in value. (ie, my dad bought a piece of real estate for around $12,000 and sold it for $75,000 because of its increase in land value). the value of land in that particular area reach upwards of $1.5 million per acre.

Probably close, though I would bet you could do better than $1400 to Paris with enough lead time and the right travel agent (a France-specializing consolidator); depends a lot on the time of year too.

There are a bunch of different airports with flights to France. It would make a lot more sense to meet in Paris unless people were all coming from close enough to (say) JFK that they were all going to take the same flight.

Actually Schiphol airport in Amsterdam has a place called the "meeting point" for people to say where to meet.

There are presumably plenty of similar places one could designate in Paris.

It would be fun to rock the flight over though :).

Cooney
10-01-2007, 12:53 AM
Indeed, I would think it best to meet in Paris. An airport is an airport is an airport, and they're not too hard to find your way around in if you just keep your eyes glued to the signs. Any big airport, especially in a tourist place like Paris, has plenty of pictographic signs, and may well include instructions in foreign languages like English if the pictures aren't enough.

For my own part, I would probably fly direct from Seattle, unless another option were vastly cheaper for some reason (the other options tend to cost the same from here). I would encourage people from elsewhere to fly from whatever airport is their closest, and not worry about trying to get here (or any specific US airport) to meet up first. Save the extra $500-$1000 in airfare for Alizée stuff!

Cool...then it's meet at the airport in Paris, hotel, or some other easy-to-find meeting place.:)

Hello I was starting to think Alizee is very big in Mexico they still play her songs on the radio with me living so close to the border it would be great if she came on tour to Mexico. If she did come to Mexico she would have to play Juarez as it is the fourth largest city in the country if that were to happen I could go with no problem cause Juarez and El Paso are next to each other only separated by a river that holds less water than my bathtub. If she did come to Juarez it would be cheaper for a lot of you, how many of you would be willing to see her in Mexico?

Cooney
10-01-2007, 03:41 PM
How many of you would be willing to see her in Mexico?

If she was touring Mexico and NOT the USA, I'd might go to a show in Mexico as well as one in France, if the Mexico show were near the border. If she were touring the USA as well as Mexico, I wouldn't go to a Mexico show - I'd stick with the USA and France.

I've always kinda wanted to visit Mexico, so I'd be there. ;) Well, I think I'd be at any show she does in North America. Can't guarantee every one in Europe, but come hell or high water I'll be at the first, and as many others I can manage. And of course I'd be jazzed to meet you all there! :)

I figure I have a limited number of vacation days available to me, and limited funding.

I want to go to a show in France, so that'll be one of them. I'd like to see her in her native element.

If she does a show in the USA, I'll absolutely go to that. I want to show her America supports her.

If she doesn't do a show in the USA, but does do one in Mexico... ::shrug:: She won't be neglected, there are a great many fans there. If it's near the border, I can make it a day trip from an American border town, and not have to worry about handling lodging, food, and customs in a language I don't know (I don't like being one of those tourists who assumes the natives should speak my language, instead of the other way around). If it's in the interior, it'll be easier for me just to return to France for a second round :-)

I haven't voted, because I don't know. I would love to go, but it really depends on when she does the concert. If it is this coming summer then maybe, but if it is 2-3 years then I could go. It is all about the money I have. I am going to have to save up to move to Paris, and if I spend $3,000 to go see a concert then that will cut into my moving fund. It all depends on when she does it.

Well, it would be cool to meet up with as many people as possible at each point in the journey, like at the airport in USA. But then, make a particular effort to have everyone meet (like a convention) in some particular place in Paris or what ever city the concert is in. Don't we have any travel agents as fans? Considering her record company won't even sell us her music, it's not looking good for non-French concerts. Of course that may change soon. It's just annoying how they left us out.

btw, are you of indian origin?
No. I'll PM.
