Well if Alizee came to this website and decided to register, what name would she use to post a thread or reply to someone?
I don't see her using Alizee as a name, lol She would probably use a name like... MadameChatelaine or maybe AjjacioLolita
Then again, she couldn't possibly register because that would mean giving up her email address, and open the flood gates of people spamming her 24hrs a day with emails!
But how did the Alizee message get to the Le Nid d'Alizee website?
Alizee poor girl, caught between a rock and a hard place. She can't respond to any forum posts about her, how sad. :(

whatever she will choose when she comes to this 4rum , i bet matrix cannot know who is she, so for get about this and nextime when we make post, should becarefull , because Alizée can read all of them :D

I doubt that she would register if she came here. If she wanted to read the forum, she would probably do so as a guest. If she did register, I doubt that she'd use any name that we could guess and would probably keep the e-mail private so that nobody would be able to see it.

I have yet to see any sort of "star" repond on forums to the fans. but assuming she did, I really doubt it'd be something obvious, let alone even related to her. It'd be very vague, if not completely random. Your guess is as good as anyones.

I check the stats everyday for visits from Corsica. Haven't had any yet ... lots of visits from Paris though.
I don't want to rain on the parade or anything, but I doubt she would spend much time on this website. First of all it is in English, and second ... if she would ever register on a website I am sure it would be a French site. And third, this website is so new .. wouldn't really be fair to the other websites that have been around for so long.
I would be happy if she just new that it existed .. so that she knows she has a lot of fans in the USA.
Then again, maybe this is her ... :)

Yeah, chances are, it'll never be known if she does register. Probably acts more as an observer to see what her fans think of her. She probably doesn't want to try and interfere with the thoughts and beliefs of the posters. Considering, this could be one of the only places she can find out what people are really thinking.

No, but why would she register on any of them? This one in particular, it is the only site that'll give her an idea what Americans are thinking.
I figure if she joined there would be three or more signs that it was her:
- Her avatar would likely not be of her. Goes for the sig as well.
- Probably not much comment on her music or her appearence.
- Very infrequant posts. If any.
There are probably other signs and everything but I'm just trying to put myself in her shoes and think what she might think/do if she did visit this site.
My first response if I were her... high some bodyguards...

I agree with Shep, put yourself in her shoes:
1. Alizee surfs the net or thru word of mouth finds out about this site. She discovers its an all american site for her.
2. She knows english better than we all think, she's highly intelligent afterall, and because this site is so new, she is excited about it. The other sites for her are old and she has been there done that.
3. She registers, with a brand new email address
4. Chooses the name Topaz, or dvtq or aFrenchie, lol :eek: A low post count could be an indicator that it's Alizee but a high post count could be as well as she wants to prove that with a high post count she is not Alizee, thus keeping her undercover status.
One thing we can be absolutely sure of... Alizee knows french perfectly. That puts aFrenchie high up on the list, lol :p
Alizee is a sneaky woman, likes to play jokes, extremely intelligent, sense of humor.
I have no doubt she is registered on this site and posting in this forum. Knowing Alizee is in this forum, I can still be critical of her, I will be honest. She would want us to be honest and open about her.

Oui, i thought of that too. To disguise herself she would use french sparingly and only helping out when a french clarification was needed.
Then again, if you play chess, one must understand that thinking several moves ahead and using trickery, reverse psychology is needed to win. So there is no telling how Alizee would act undercover in this forum.
I have no doubt Alizee knows how to play chess. The very fact Alizee has gone this long on this website without being discovered is proof of her prowess as a james bond secret service agent.

As I was reviewing this forum I find it disturbing that Brad knows where everyone lives... Just joking :)
Brad, would there be a way that we could make a special hotline just for Alizee? You know, a safe way for her to send a message if she wanted to. I'm sure this is probably as possible as making a landing strip and expecting aliens to land on it. Just wondering though.

(The english song versions dont really count in my mind because that's a controlled environment, she can be coached on pronounciation and they can record takes until she gets it right)

Wow..an old thread comes back to life! Honestly, if she DOES register and visits this site..alot of us will be skeptical and try to break down the "imposter" with questions, etc...and try to discredit this person for pretending to be Alizee. I'd probably be one of those people. I'd like proof.
I can say that she has most definitely visited this site, but probably only as a visitor. All of the ALizee forums, in one way or another, seem to be tied together in terms of the people who frequent them. I've seen links from the AlizeeAlliance boards to Alizee USA, and vice versa. So she's most likely been here before.
The only 'REAL' celebrity-type person that has visited us has been Jessica from the Stars A Domicile w/Alizee. This has since been confirmed many times over.

Ah but the English songs were precisely the reason to learn English. When you know what the words mean, you can sing with feeling. If not, you are just reciting memorized words. Without knowing the meaning, you could be singing lyrics to a song or reciting the memorized alphabet.
It makes a huge difference in the delivery.

It was more out of concern for her health. I was worried for her because I know she was a dancer. I was just scared she was letting herself go.

Ah lol, well since she seems so tiny, I was glad to see she DID put on weight while she was pregnant, I'm sure she lost it though after her daughter's birth. But I think for smaller women it's normal for them to put on quite a bit of weight while pregnant (My mom who weighs about 110 pounds normally gained about 50 pounds while pregnant with me, and lost it in a few months after giving birth). Anyways, sorry if I sounded like I was questioning your devotion to Alizée, I didn't mean it like that at all! I was just merely joking about the fact that I know some people WOULD stop being her fan if she gained weight (I honestly don't think people in this forum would, I'm just talking about in general...seeing how some people only base things on looks alone sadly). Me and my girlfriends were sitting around looking at celebrities' pictures and was saying, if this person wasn't famous, would they still be hot? Surprisingly the answer to most celebs was No. But let's face it, if Lili was unattractive would this forum exist? For some reason the majority of todays female pop singers have a requirement of being attractive. The same holds true in many positions. Historians say that Abraham Lincoln would have no chance of becoming president today because of his looks.

You are right about that, but besides the fact that Alizée is beautiful (I don't think anyone can disagree about that :p) I wouldn't have joined a fan forum based just on that fact, especially since she's a girl (obviously), and well....suffice to say I don't really swing that way, what really drew me to being a big fan though was the personality she put through in interviews and performances. Nowadays like you said, celebrities are famous because they're hot...(or not lol) but really all they put through in interviews is little if any personality, or if they do give off a semblance of a personality, it's not a pretty one (aka people like Paris Hilton). What I find absolutley amazing is how much personality Alizée seems to have, if even I can feel it and not even understand most of what she's saying, I wonder how much better it would be if I did actually understand French. What also blew me away is that usually people who become stars at such a young age end up being conceited and stuck up because that fame went to their head, whereas from what I can see Alizée is the opposite, she embraced her fame and her fans..and became a better person for it.

I don't know. Rocket's fluent in French as well as English. And she looks, or rather those pictures supposedly of her look, about as much like Alizée as is possible while still being recognizably a different person.

Well, in case Swedish Fan is right, which I think he probably is (although I'm not 100% sure ;) ), I think this might be a good time to say that I'm getting a little worried.
Clearly my prediction of a release on the 7th anniversary of ML was wrong, although all I actually picked up was "on the 7th" -- the rest was my own interpretation -- and that could still be true in a different sense, e.g. during the 7th month (July).
But there have been enough delays now that I'm starting to think something might be wrong. I imagine everything from a problem with the record company to a death in the family to a marital crisis. Hopefully all of that is just my own paranoia.
It would be nice, though, if she could find a way to let us know that she's all right. And if there's anything any of us can do to help, hey, just ask. I'm sure she has ways to get the word out.
She will probably find this site by surfing the web and find interest in the fact she has an American website full of fans. Intrigued, she will register as a generic "French Fan" (and actually use her true age and location), and open with a thread about finding this site and how she likes it. Then she will show some pics of her home in Paris. And perhaps even comment on the Mylène concert she was able to attend last year. She will participate in some other threads. Say a few words. Deepwaters, I was hoping your prediction would prove to be right. I'm guessing this summer or fall she will release something.
I'm inclined to think that the time of the release will not be determined by an anniversary of some sort. They may have other criteria for determining when is the best time to release new material in France.
I think when everything is ready, they will pick a date and just do it.

She'll probably use a different flower name, like Daffodil or Lilac or Rosey. Or else use a man's name and claim to be a 110-kg black dockworker from Marseilles. Or she might use something like "Anti-fan" and make a lot of posts putting herself down.
The possibilities are endless, really. :p

All of those are of course possibilities but seem like a frivolous waste of time for a busy and presumably level-headed young mother aspiring to restart her career after a rather lengthy hiatus. Let's hope that she has reason enough to see that....

Hey, two-year-olds take naps, and once the recording is done there's a gap between that and doing promotions when the artist doesn't have to do a lot. She's probably got more time on her hands at this moment than you or I do. ;)
Anyway don't be so serious; this thread is just for fun. If she does come here, and we do figure out who she is, the last thing we want to do is name her for tout le monde. Right?
She might register in the guise of a psychology professor from the U. de Paris looking into obsessive behavior patterns. (Plenty of those around here, right?) Or here's a good one: she might register as Jérémy! Think of the questions that would raise, and the fun she could have giving silly answers! Or how about a 7-year-old girl from Corsica, whose parents are Alizée fans; could she convince us a little kid was writing?

A'right, a'right, I know it's just for fun... It's just that a lot of the incidents I've seen of people impersonating other personas involve them having some sort of personality disorder or otherwise being unbalanced, and I guess I have a personal aversion to entertaining that possibility.
That said, your recent batch of possibilities is pretty amusing :D.

True; no matter how strong a suspicion we might have, unless she admits it we can't actually know.
Still, it's fun to play with the idea, and the thought of her being here from time to time and playing games with us is just delicious. So we can't help thinking about it.
(BTW: standard phrasing in the form of a question is "would she use" rather than "she would use," sort of like reversing the noun and verb in French. ;))

Well, there is a big difference between impersonating someone else, and having a persona that does not disclose one's person.
If Alizée visited these boards, she would (of necessity) need to take on a persona that does not disclose her identity. It's not a matter of being someone she is not, but simply being someone who does not disclose who they are. Isn't this standard fair for most contributors to forums such as this? The internet can be a dangerous place. People can access this board from all over the world. Anonymity (in terms of real name and location) provides a measure of protection.
The same would hold for a celebrity. There is virtue in "real name" anonymity. An anonymous Alizée can particpate as just another one of "us". Something tells me she would enjoy just hanging around, being her real self (not her celebrity self) participating in the threads without getting all the attention. Not only would that be nice for Alizée, but it would be cool for all of us. It's one thing to think of Alizée as a beautiful celebrity with a beautiful voice and sweet personality....it's quite another thing to think of her as just another cool online friend we can chat with on a daily basis about stuff. But in order to do the latter, you must NOT KNOW she is the former.
Celebrity status gets in the way of normal personal interaction. Anonymity strips away the celebrity status, which allows the celebrity to interact normally amongst regular folks, and allows regular folks to interact normally in the midst of the "unknown" celebrity.

Did anyone else think the perfect disguise may be to tell the truth, I mean if she logged on, calling herself Lili and to be Alizée herself, would anyone really believe her? I mean obviously we would want to, but deep down would we? Even the ip address would just show someone from Paris. But we already have members from Paris, so that isn't really a hint.
In essence, it would be near impossible to prove/disprove a member was Alizée. Unless, of course she posted a video of herself logging on and making a post, which I don't see happening.

you know many people posted on hte Reluctance and Cowardice thread, which makes the people who didn't a potential Alizée, i mean i guess you can call me paranoid orwhatever, but i always thought that someone on here was Alizée i have my suspicions just don't have any proof.and that would be very like evil for us not to believe that she was Alizée since we have seen mayn frauds in chatting.

LOL no. Certainly no one should believe that. :p See OGRE's post above, he's nailed it. The whole point of posting here anonymously is to be anonymous and avoid the whole "star" thing. Anyone who claims to be Alizée (except on the official web site when it comes back up) isn't.

I was speaking hypothetically. I didn't mean she would claim to be herself, I was just saying that if she did it would lead to us never believing it was her, and , as a direct consequence, we would never suspect her if such a situation in which we were trying to decide which member was Lili was to pop up. Much like now really, although we have no one claiming to be her.

The problem with registering as herself is that everyone would probably think she was a fake and she would risk being treated badly or even driven off the site. This would defeat the whole purpose of trying to communicate with us “regular folks”.

OK, having offloaded my skepticism earlier, I'll play. ;). In some sense, we have the reverse problem. How does anyone here prove that we're not Her Grace? Assume that she has unlimited powers (or, at least, that language proficiency is not an issue). I have this cyber-apocalyptic vision of an analogue of that movie "The Thing" where they have to boil people's blood to see if it's infected with the alien "thing". Of course this is trivial in "real life", so I suppose I meant "cyber-prove" (and you could always post someone else's photo as yours, right? :p).

Well, actually....it sort of ME!
Not really a pot belly, but a little on the heavy side (although women my age say it suits me well). I don't drink, so I threw in the Budweiser for fun. I'm 43 (almost 44....Lili and I share August Birthdays), so the 45 was sort of a middle ground between 40 and 50. Graying...yes (but it's a sign of distinction...right?). Wanning southern drawl...yes, that's me. Wanning 'cause I've lived in yankee territory for the past 15 years, after growing up in Tennessee. Analytical thinker? That's a nice way to say geek.

Here are a few more. If you really want to pull the wool over people's eyes, make up a good life story for your alter ego. Where did he/she grow up? Let's say it's a guy; is he married? Does he have a girlfriend? Is he gay? (Similar questions if it's female.) What does he/she do for a living? What, besides being an Alizée fan, does he/she do for fun?
If people think they already know who you are, they'll never try to figure it out. Most people never see what's right in front of their faces if they think they already know what's there. :D
