May I ask what this voting actually does? Don't the chart positions go by actual sales, not by internet voting?
It's Internet voting. You can only vote once per hour. It's a fan based voting system.
Um yeah, I'm not voting on a site that lets you buy votes. That's damn crooked, and I think being last on such a list is a better sign of integrity.

I prefer to wait until amazon.fr gets the new CD ready to ship. I will then be voting in the only way that counts ... with my dollars (or, more to the point, euros).
I agree that is best vote for an artist.

These aren't sales charts, this is to determine what 15 songs get played on the radio station during their countdown. Each Wednesday and Sunday between 7 PM and 8 PM, Radio Atlantis does a Hit Parade countdown of the top 15 vote winners for the week. The votes are then blanked and restarted after the Sunday show.
Radio play and countdown success leads to sales though, so voting here could help Alizée out a little.
Cooney good post. I didn't know what this vote was for. Well at least we should be able to get her to at least 4th by Sunday. And next week and every week after we'll do again and again until we can get her to number one.
Alizee fans are better than any of the other artists fans on the vote board and we need to prove it.

Hey gang,
RE: Here is how to vote as many times as you want!!!!!!!!!!!!! (For free)
My first post. I’ve always just lurked until now. I saw the post about voting and knew there must be an easy way around it. There is. This procedure is for Windows with Explorer. I’m sure the same principles will be true no matter what browser and operating system you use.
Multiple Voting Procedure:
1) Go to the “radioatlantis” web site and vote the “5 point free option”
2) Wait until it registers and starts counting down. (You probably want to save this location as either a text file to stick in your browser address window, or as a regular book mark)
3) Get off their website- Example: just move to your home page.
4) Open “Windows Explorer” – or whatever file index you use.
5) Go to the folder “Documents”
6) Go to the folder “Administrator”
7) Go to the folder “Local Settings”
8) Go to the folder “Temporary Internet Files”
9) Scroll to the very bottom files of this folder. If you don’t have your browser set to get rid of this stuff after a day or so, this might be a huge group of files.
10) Notice the column “Internet Address”. - Basically what you are looking at (at the very bottom) is a group of files, thumbnails, cookies, etc. put into your computer by your homepage site.
11) Scroll up. You will notice a similar group of files from the “radioatlantis” site.
12) Select and delete them all. Its probably only one file that they use to count down your voting time, but who cares? It’s just easier to delete them all. Don’t worry you won’t hurt anything on your system. These are temporary files.
13) Got back to the “Radioatlanits site”. Vote again, and repeat!
Sorry it looks complicated. Once you do it a few times, it will be easy.:D

Um yeah, I'm not voting on a site that lets you buy votes. That's damn crooked, and I think being last on such a list is a better sign of integrity.
It's only crooked if the artist is buying the votes. Otherwise, it shows some level of dedication from the fans. Well, I don't know who's voting and how, but if it keeps Alizée in a place where her song gets played and gets special mention, then I'm for it. As I understand it, the way songs usually get played on the radio (at least in the US) is that the record company pays the radio stations to play it. That's somewhat illegal, I think, so it may be slightly more complicated than that, anyway...
Hey gang,
RE: Here is how to vote as many times as you want!!!!!!!!!!!!! (For free)
Seriously? I figured they'd record the IP or something. It's just based on cookies? Well, ok. Alizée is back down to number 6 right now. I guess we just need to keep her on the list, but number 1 on the final check would certainly be something beyond. Check it out, she's number 2 of French songs http://www.radioatlantis.fr/playlist/new/playlistfr.php
It's only crooked if the artist is buying the votes. Otherwise, it shows some level of dedication from the fans.
I'm not saying it's illegal, but think about it for a minute, it's basically all a bribe to the radio station. Sure I want the best for Alizee, but only if she can reach it honestly. I'd rather she get a bad review, for example, than a paid-off one. Just as a poll should be about numbers, not dollars... erm, euros.
Edit: Also just practically it makes me very loath to waste my time on this poll, cause we could get Alizee all the way to number one and then 5 min before showtime someone will come along and throw down like $100 for someone else.

whoah, that actually worked... nice :) Of course, if they take one look at their logs they'll notice that certain IP adresses are voting more often than they should be, so they might decide to discount all your votes, which would suck if you've been voting every hour for the last 10 hours :)

any ideas for more ways? this looks complicated! i have done this and it works but anymore ideas to make this trick more good?
I can't believe the horrible taste in music the French have. Did any of you check out the top 10? They suck. The best song in the top ten is Alizée's MJ. I'm not being predigest it just a fact.
Roman has a good point,

The station knows who is and who isn't buying votes. Who do you think is going to get the best lead in? The artists that were fan based voted in or those who bought their in as they say. The top three songs are not that good yet look at the vote count. The DJ's and the station know who is desperate to get air play on their song.
The up side to us is all those U.S. IP's that are being registered. That has to be the biggest WTF is going on for the people watching this voting contest back at the station. It would be great if they said something on Sunday about the U.S. fan base that pushed this song into the top 5.

First of all welcome, second very clever of you yesterday I had to sneak around at various computers at work to try and vote as much as possible but this is much better :D
I went back and listened to the top four ahead of our girl. The top one by DOMY FIDANZA, CORNFLAKES GIRL that song is so familiar but I just can't remember the American song that sounds just like it.
The second one by MICHEL POLNAREFF L'HOMME QUI PLEURAIT DES LARMES DE VERRE, I will not even go there it is so bad someone has to be buying votes for that one. The third one by GREGORY LEMARCHAL
LE LIEN is a good song with a decent melody. The fourth song CHARLY B
JAH IS MY GUIDE all I can say is give me a break. It is terrible.
Two of those songs shouldn't even be in the top 50 let alone top 5.
I do find it funny to listen to number 7 MARIE ELAINE THIBERT
DANS TES YEUX. French county music is just not the same as American country music.

Could be. It said they're changing hosts, and should be down for a maximum of 48 hours. So... could be 2 days, could be much less. When it comes back up, the vote tallies should all be blank, as the Sunday night show has been done (with Alizée in 4th, I think!) and the new week's voting should be beginning.
