Hi guys!

I'm new and I was very surprised to find out this site, because in general american people don't care about european singers.
As a french woman, like all my mates in France, I discovered Alizee at 15 years old and I saw her grow up, now she's 22, she's a great wife and mother of a 2 years old daughter Annilyn. Right now she is preparing an other album with the lead singer-Nicolas Sirkis- of the famous french band "Indochine" .
Ho, and I wanted to pointed out that Alizee is just 1,55 m, she's very very tiny!! and she has always said she was not pleased with her height.:)

Welcome Christelle. I'm French too btw (my nickname ;))

And I always heard that she's 1m62. This bio says 1m61 though:

Welcome Christelle,

We appreciate any news that we can get about Alizee. The U.S. is so far behind. I found out about her 3 months ago, and I've read a lot about her career since 2000. We all know she will be different when she releases a new CD. We just hope there will be something that still reminds us about the Alizee we all learn to adore.

Please stay in touch. :)

DJ_Greg
08-23-2006, 01:28 PM
It's the dress. It's not super-short like most of her outfits, and so she doesn't look as tall as we're used to seeing her.

I don't see the fat, though. Look at her arms...

There's definitely a problem of ratio in Bob's video link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GUwhadOAGU&NR). Look at the jpg attached, comparing with this video (http://moi-alizee.us/play/?v=23) in which she wears the same red dress and looks (is!) slimmer.

i wonder, when was this measurement taken that everyone's referring to (5' 2")? If it was taken the moment she was popular, which was when she was 15 years old, I'm sure she's gotten taller since then

i mean, she looks like a smaller person in those early Moi... Lolita videos, but in the MCE era videos, she looks at tad larger

yea she does look short in the gourmandise era.
and if you wanna see if shes tall or not, do not look at her performances such as JPVA ones because she looks very taller in those performances.
instead watch her 2004 concerts, and you will see that she is still very short.

RMJ
09-06-2006, 10:21 AM
She has not grew up much since the ML era. Girls stops growing longer quite early in age.

So, since it's relatively sure (since she said so...) that she was about 161cm during ML era, she propably is 163cm nowadays. Give or take 1cm.

Only one thing is sure: she is short.

Good afternoon to all. Kudos to C-4 for pointing out something that needs to be seen/heard/read for all concerned. It seems in the last five years or so, the USA has received alot of negative feedback because of what the Bush administration has unleashed on the world. Please, for those who think that we invited GWB to dictate us as he so likes to do, most of us didn't vote him into office, he bought , lied , and cheated:mad: his way into the White House, and most know this. But I am not really an American as much as I am an ALASKAN!
As for Alizee ....who cares if she's short, tall, thin, fat, brown, blue or orange. It's too bad she is not more well known in the USA. For me, she is heaven;) sent, especially in comparison to all this hip-hop/rap cr*p that bombards our radio over here. I don't speak any French, but Alizee, (at least for me), speaks to me through the wrought emotion in her voice. I also listen to Luciano Pavarotti for the same reason ...I mean ...who goes to operas these days because we so understand a word of Italian:confused:

2000 Election
Bush: 50,460,110
Gore: 51,003,926

2004 Election
Bush: 62,040,610
Kerry: 59,028,111

It's shocking to me that 12 million MORE people voted for Bush in 2004 than in 2000. It wasn't a big deal to have voted for him in 2000 (I was among those who did), but after four years of mistakes, failures, and gross disregard for the U.S. Constitution, there was no way I could justify casting the same vote again. I consider myself an Independent, and I'll always try to vote for the person I think is best for the job. Given how far the Republican party has shifted to conservatism, I don't see myself voting for a Republican again for a very, very long time.

Whew. Hopefully that wasn't too incendiary. If so, I'll delete everything but the stats. I'm not getting into a political fight here.

While I don't believe he made as many mistakes as the media and critics make it out to be (I still believe there were a TON of them, but not as many) I just could not imagine Kerry doing a better job, he never made himself clear to me. I just wish we could get another candidate out there that's willing to kick terrorist ass and not play games with it and is actually a good speaker. Bush just can't get the message across without embarassing himself which fortunately gives Stephen Colbert plenty of material to work with :D

Both have long heel boots. Also, the camera angle lies quite a lot. And has gemetrical distortios on the sides.

Both girls are about equally short.

RMJ

But it was when she was 16 years old. She might be 1 or 2 cm taller now. So my guess would be 163cm (1.63m), which equals roughly 5'4".

DJ_Greg
09-11-2006, 03:34 PM
I feel like we had this discussion here already, but here goes...

Girls usually stop growing by the time they're 16, so it's quite possible she's still 1.61 m (5'3") tall.

RMJ
09-11-2006, 04:07 PM
True, but it's uncertain when she was that 161cm. Surely she didn't measure herself on that day. So it might have been even year or two old height.

And growing doesn't stop to wall anyways. At 16, for girls, it seems to stop but it may continue little by little several more years. Giving you couple more cm during your adulthood. People rarely are the same height at 16 what they are at 30.

I myself have grew 1cm during last 7 or 8 years, reaching now 174cm.

162 cm is shorter than average length but not really tiny. But why would you cry about it

Eh, I wouldn't say that for everyone, not all of us are that shallow, or at least we don't like admitting it.

But I have started to notice that Alizée has really screwed with my brain, whenever I'm introduced to a girl, somewhere in the back of my mind subtly hopes Alizée?:) no, not Alizée:(. I figure this must be like how my dog feels whenever he hears the front door open and takes off running, hoping my dad is home so he can be fed.

Oh, and please do not judge all Americans by the politicians or crude Americans that visit France. We are not all nasty and crude like the ones we hear about the French people hating. Those American probably deserve that fate, but honestly, most of us are very pro-French.

Hi guys!

I'm new and I was very surprised to find out this site, because in general american people don't care about european singers... Oh, I wanted to point out that Alizee is just 1,55 m, she's very very tiny!! and she has always said she was not pleased with her height.:)
Yes, Alizee is very tiny but that doesn't mean anything. Lots of men like shorter women. She's dynamite in a small package. KaBOOM!!! She gets us all!

As for the comment that American's don't like European singers, it depends on the singer. Alizee is unique in the entire world and I can tell you that when I and almost every other American man that I know has seen her, we were very, very, very impressed. I'm not saying anything that anyone here doesn't already know. She's very special and just happens to be from France. Even "Helen of Troy" would be jealous of Alizee. I really believe that!

I do believe that. I'm 5'3 and get whistles all the time. hehe I think most men like that 'little girl' look. One night I wanted to surprise my husband, instead of wearing something silky and sexy, I wore my hair in pigtails and put on my white blouse, short plaid pleated skirt, white knee high socks and penny loafers. When he got home...well let's just say it got interesting from there. :p

Haha, she's small like that so I could carry her around in a little birdcage.... where do you think she's been the past 3 years eh? :D

Personally, I think that her height is ok (although she is short). My grandmother is about as tall as she is, and I'm a lot taller than she is... Doesn't bother me at all.

roflmao.. that's funny. Wouldn't it be awesome to have Alizée in your home every day in a bird cage singing all her favorite tunes?

Give her some bird seed and water when needed to keep her alive and every once in a while let her out of the cage to fly around your home.

Alizée is so small that she could hang-glide on a Dorito chip :p

Of course it doesn't bother. Girls are supposed to be short-ish. That's the beauty of them. It's much easier to kiss on the forehead them and smell their hair, you just gotta love it !

And well, in general, they looks much cuter when they aren't too tall. Lili is good example of it. She's real cuteling !

Yes, I agree. I'm more attracted to those girls/ladies who are petite and smaller than I am. Most are around my height (5'6" or 1.7 m) if not slightly shorter.

I would love to see that cute little munchkin hang-gliding from a Dorito chip, that would make my day! Hey, maybe she uses a molecule as a pillow, you think?

Of course, she knows that we all love her not matter what. And I think short women are hot! Especially this one.

Absolutley, Alizée is so adorablely cute. The fact that she is a small woman makes me like her ever more.

She has that look of sophistication and lolita sexiness that cannot be matched anywhere on earth. Many peple probably mistaken her for a teenager in Paris now days.

Mylene Farmer knew what she was looking for didn't she? Mylene has a good eye for unique beauty.

Seriously though, if she's 162 cm, that would place her at the national average for French (and American) females. If she's 155 cm (as originally reported), then yes, she's very tiny.

She may be short in stature but when it comes to beauty, sexiness, and talent among many other things, she's head & shoulders above any of her peers. And being able to hang-glide from a dorito chip or shade herself under a mushroom on a hot sunny day is one of her best sexy charms anyway. You see, those are only a few of many, many reasons why we Alizites (Alizee fans) unconditionally love her the way we do. Yep... she's one a million! One in a billion! One in a millennium! Thank god that we're the blessed generation that got to see her and that she's not on some old 1920's film footage somewhere. Wow! We're so lucky!

Since you live so close, and if you think you would like to come, send me a private message because this will be a one-time special event. Believe me, you're not going to want to miss it.
