I figure if some of us are willing to travel halfway around the world to meet her for thirty seconds then there is definitely a group willing to travel south of the border to see her perform! If and when she does I am so there! anyone up for it? I know we don't have an official date or anything but we could have all Pacific and mountan time people meet in one us city and travel south and all atlantic and central time meet in houston(home town!) or wherever. Or we could all just meet each other there. Just thought I would mention it so some people could start saving those pennies!

Maybe possible? Who knows. Anyways, there is an 'official 2007 Mexican Display Banner' printed PVC display stand 'Alizée Psychedelices' measuring 120x160 cm on sell over on eBay already. Minimum bid like about $ 25.00. At least for the next nine hours or so.

I've nothing against the country or culture. So, if someone from the area could shed some light on the above article, it may put me at ease for any future visits Alizée's staffs may be planning.

After witnessing out resident travelers fly to France for this past event and the experience they had...i'm inspired to do this, too. So if ya'll wanna head down to mexico, i'm definitely game. i'm just a 3-4hr drive dwn to Mex...but i'd probably wanna fly-in. When we get confirmation on the dates/times she's there, we should plan a trip....
WHO's IN?!
edit: just read that yahoo Article....so maybe a trip to Mexico won't happen anytime soon :(

i'm probably gonna go. i already got a converted friend signed up too. i'll likely fly in too because it doesn't make sense to drive hours down towards the center of mexico from CA border. and no, she ain't gonna come to no border cities.
Count me in. F*ck my Algebra class! To think that's what kept me from going to the signing. They say, "Algebra one day may save your life." I say it's ruining it. Viva Mexico!

Hell, we can be like Deadheads or something, following the Grateful Dead for a living. We'll be the Liliheads, forever loyal travelers :-P

For those of you who have never been to Mexico but plan on going, get ready for the time of your life!
As usual the stereotypes are wrong. I have found that many of the cities and towns that border the U.S. suck. Perhaps it is our influence on them. The good news is that the farther you travel into Mexico, the better it gets. The people there are awesome.
Don't believe it? Then you haven't been there.

I would probably rather drive just to save on air fare but if it is real cheap to fly from Houston to wherever in Mexico (as I am sure it is) then maybe I will fly. Maybe some members from Europe might come :). I would really like to see this happen, and once Lili is done resting and is ready to go to Mexico we will be there! We may need more International Fan T-shirts! :D

There is one Mexican stereotype that seems to be true. When a typical Mexican considers you a friend, the relationship is often closer than members of the same family in the U.S.
I don't know why.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right. It might be better for us to charter a flight. Often the cost per person is lower, it is more fun and has a bit more class.
How many would be interested?

I'm bummed about missing every show that she's in - Zénith on the 9th isn't going to happen. Les Enfoirés, not going to happen. I'm really glad that I see all these people here saying they would go. It seems like it will be easier to get support. I know jack diddley about Mexico. That is, I think I would need help to make this happen. Assuming I will be available, etc. in February (if that's actually when she's going, as I hear it) then I would love to. I guess the first thing we need to know is where and when.
Frankly, that musician killing spree does worry me. Just the though of...
Well, at least it looks like it's not something that Alizée would be involved in. Still, what a horrible thing. What horrible people are out there.
I remember the "belt-way" sniper killings here in the US a few years back. I would have certainly advised anyone to stay away from that whole general area. I hope this doesn't turn out to be that opportunity I mentioned to take a bullet for Alizée - though I can think of worse ways to go. Though, it might put a damper on her career.
Ok, crazy talk. She's going and it will be awesome because Alizée will be there!

Sorry, I kept forgetting to put this info up sooner.
I started a new thread for international travel issues:
http://moi-alizee.us/forums/showthread.php?p=85750#post85750
but here's what I put there so far:
Passport: Just so you know, I applied for a new passport (not an original), sent the stuff in with the option for expedited service and the fastest mailing option there and back.
I sent my documents including my original passport on the 18th and got it back about noon on the 29th of Dec. I'm in California. It may have taken a bit longer than sending from some places. I think the envelope coming back was stamped on the 27th. So other than possibly a day earlier, I think that's the fastest service you can expect unless you have some other special way of getting a passport. You will need a passport for Mexico as I understand it.

I went to Paris last month to Alizée's autograph session and I hope to go to Mexico if she does a concert there. However Paris and Mexico city are two totally different animals. I took my mother to Mexico city back in 2000because she wanted to see the Basilica of Guadalupe which is about 20 miles north of the city. At the time, the city had a population of about 23 million. Once you get outside the city, the hillsides are covered with shacks. Actually a shack would be a step up for whatever you would call these dwellings. They were stacked one right above the other with no running water, no sewer system, just unbeleivable poverty there and numerous places in Mexico. A lot of these people have little way of making money but to prey on unsuspecting tourists. I work in the travel industry and I've heard a lot of horror stories of things that have gone on down there. From what I hear, you can't even trust the police. So I will and I hope anyone else here who decides to go down will do plenty of research on where it will be, how to get there, etc. You also have to be very careful of what cabs you get in and I wouldn't recommend bringing an expensive camera. If possible, bring a spanish speaking freind. Hopefully it will be in one of the safer areas of Mexico such as Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, etc. Be careful and hope to see you there.
That's why I believe AAm and Alizee-Mexico team up together so we can enjoy our visit, rather than having to worry about what might happen. At least, AAm fans should plan on meeting up with each other.

Seriously Shu, if you enjoy coming to this site everyday and talking about someone that you care for dearly, wouldn't you be worried about them going somewhere where it isn't safe? I am not saying Mexico isn't safe. Infact my family wants to go on vacation there(I wish they would book already because I need a break and some nice weather. Cold stinks on NY). I am even worried with Alizée's safety coming to America, crazy people in the world and I can't trust everyone. Even I am scared of Alizée's safety goes to a different country. If only the world lived in peace, and weapons were left to authorities and everyone respected each other. I think it would make everything so much easier.

Well they are pretty much likely rape you if you go to some areas after a certain hour... but is not that bad... not every single police is corrupt... what i liked the most from my trip to mexico city is that they are lots of policeman... and the city is so huge.. there are just many great places there. I know lili is going to like Mexico city :)

calm down u act like if alizee's your sisterYou obviously did read my other post or much of this web site. Of course she is very important to us, like a sister. People being rude is one thing, dangerous is another. At least that stuff sounded like more specific or personal rivalries. Still, I can't say what I'd do...
On the other note, it will take help from the great fans in Mexico to get many of us there, I think.
well looks like we're gonna have to expedite it if lili comes to mexico in February. but then i'm not sure that visit is a concert, i think it's just a promo and small showcase perhaps and i don't know if an actual concert is planned for the future down there.Well, I have a feeling that it's not just going to be an autograph signing like in Paris. I really doubt that if she goes to Mexico it will not be to perform something. I tend to think it will be a tv show performance like she did on NRJ 12 Live. Maybe that and some kind of fan meeting/autograph signing. At least, she will surely do a tv show. Right?

Good or bad.
The people in this forum I'm sure could use and would value your opinion wether it's for or against going to Mexico.
