I was thinking of having posters made (I'm pretty sure that you can do that somewhere). Do you know how much it costs and how big the picture is supposed to be? I have a few pictures of Alizée that are around 2000x3000 pixels (72px/inch) and I'm not sure if that's enough.

This is one of those online printing services that takes high-quality digital files and makes custom prints to order. Since all of these pictures are available online (http://molrt.free.fr/media/lili/alizee_hq_photos/), you could probably do the same a good bit cheaper by taking the files to your local kinkos or other print shop.

Would probably be alright. That site's not the original location of them either. They were first posted in a zip file on AF by neozen, I think. He got em directly from Corbis (professional image service). He or someone he knew must have worked somewhere that had an account (magazine, newspaper, etc.). There's also an even higher-quality batch from Blackstar, that I think you'll only be able to find in the DC hub because it's like 10-20 megabytes per picture! And there are about 40 of them! :eek:

Yes, it does work on other websites. I used the extension to download all of the French IPod class, in one whack, that Brad told us about in another thread. I went to the IPod class webpage, clicked on "Lessons" link on the right side of the page and when I got there downloaded all of the MP3s at once.

If you want to do the same then you'll have to select the "Additional filters" section from within the "DownloadThemAll" box. Next you'll have to click the little up and down arrows to the right side of the box, in the "Additional filters" section and select the option for downloading MP3s. The MP3 option that you'll have to select looks like this: /(\.mp3)$/

Next put a checkmark in the checkbox to the right that says, "Reg. Exp." and then click the "Start" button to begin the download.

You can use the same directions above to download all of the lesson Review PDF files from the same webpage except you have to use the: /(\.(html|htm|rtf|doc|pdf))$/ option from the "Additional filters" section.

It's really very easy so I hope you give it a try. Although I'm not an expert and only just downloaded and used the Firefox extension, if you have any questions post them here and I'll try to help you.

Thank god for this extension, I've always been downloading Alizee's pix one-by-one from websites and it took a long, long time. Now it's a snap!

blueskyy, what size did you get? I want to get the big one, but I'm concerned about graininess at such a large size. If it doesn't look that good, I'd rather get more smaller ones than less bigger ones.
I'm looking to get http://www.iceposter.com/thumbs/G87976.jpg and another one, haven't decided yet.
Or anyone else who's used that service or another source of posters, what do you think? Also, they didn't have any JEAM black outfit poses. Anyone know where to get a high quality large poster of that?

I've been to Iceposter several times... sry to say, but its way overpriced... i mean, if you wanna shell out the money then go right ahead, but you can get 3 of the 24x32 for the same price as 1 from iceposter... not worth it for me....

Can you explain how one might go about getting high quality large posters for a lesser price? Someone mentioned going to Kinkos with a .jpg file, but I wonder what kind of quality they can produce. Maybe I should find one and check that out. Of course, there's also how much time I want to spend driving around.

Iceposter.com also sells the .jpg files for $5 each. I hope no one ever falls for that. I have little experience buying posters, though.
By the way, if Universal wants to sell me posters of Alizée, I'd consider that too. Maybe I should take a look at their site, but I doubt I'll be able to get what I want from them. Hey, if they're not selling, certainly no one is just going to say, oh well, I guess I can't have it. Pictures of Alizée are practically in the public domain at this point. This goes to prove that if you want to maintain your rights to information products, you'll have to assert yourself, at least. Doesn't matter, I'm spreading the word and opening my wallet. Isn't that what everyone wants?:p

Roman, i'm saying its fine if you want to buy the posters for the price, but its just pricy... thats all, i can get equal quality posters from the mall, matter of fact, i have like 15 (estimate) Scarface posters in my room which are not low quality at all (as assumed by some), and theses are 36x24 (3x2ft) and for only about 7-10$ each, so at iceposter, not only do you get a smaller poster (32x24) but your paying way more as well.... thats all i'm saying, but if your willing to spend your hard earned cash (or allowance :p) on it, then thats cool, just know it doesnt have to be that much ;)

Ah, thanks, but you know, supply and demand. I don't recall seeing Alizée posters anywhere else. You live in the US. You haven't seen them, right? I think we are too underprivileged here in the US, with regard to Alizée availability, for that to be true, but I'll look around some more.
Maybe I need to go to Tijuana if she's so popular in Mexico.:p

Ordered this one from posterburner.com and made a custom collage of 4 great pictures. It was only $15.00 plus $4.99 shipping for a 2' x 3' poster, as opposed to iceposter.com's insane prices for one picture of the same size. The ppi and dpi are great since the resolution of the original pictures was insane. But yeah, here it is! Sorry for the crappy quality of the picture, I'll use my friend's camera to take a better pic.

Sorry I find the ActuAlizée poster too amazing for a college dorm, and it would get ripped and I just wanna keep it nice and new. Plus it's 10hrs away anyway. And only my roommate knows since he's been my friend since elementary school. But yeah...
