That's a nice song, but Alizée better have more than one line, her voice really suited the melody.

Here is translation and lyrics for the song. Posted by sb483 on MFI.
Translation by comedon
The friendship
Many of my friends came from the clouds
With sun and rain as simple luggage
They went through the season of sincere friendships
The most beautiful of the four seasons of earth
They have the sweetness of the most beautiful landscapes
And the fidelity of birds of passage
In their hearts is engraved an infinite tenderness
But sometimes in their eyes the sadness slips
Then they come home for heating
And so you will
You may leave in the depths of the clouds
And again smile to many other faces
Give around you a little of your tenderness
When someone else would conceal his sadness from you
While we don't known what life might gives us
My turn may come to be a nobody
If I have a friend who really understands me
I will forget at the same time my tears and my sorrows
So, maybe I will come visit you
To warm my heart to your wood

'Tis a shame. I need someone else to always be going so I have a buddy to meet in case I want to go.:p (by want I mean somehow manage to get a ticket, etc. for whatever it is)
I might go. Not sure yet. Spent all morning trying to order tickets online, which wasn't easy. But I did score one for the final monday show. I'll give it away or sell it if I end up not going.

I might go. Not sure yet. Spent all morning trying to order tickets online, which wasn't easy. But I did score one for the final monday show. I'll give it away or sell it if I end up not going.I went to the 4 sites mentioned on the Les Enfoirés web site yesterday and could only find any mention of it at one of them which said online was sold out. I've seen tickets on ebay, but that auction has not closed yet and I don't see how I could possibly have the tickets sent to me anyway as it seems to take a minimum of two weeks for tickets to ever get here (unless you magically have it waiting like whatever it is RMJ did). By the time I realize I definitely want a ticket to something even if it is going to cost an excess of $2000 to go, it's already too late. Well, I guess I've learned another hard lesson. Spare nothing to see Alizée.
How did you search for those tickets? "Les Enfoirés", "Restos du coeur"?
Oops. I guess it would help if I was not a total F*ing idiot and went looking on the wrong day.
Yeah, it was very hard to get even the one ticket and the sale seems to be over now. Guess eBay is your only option, though don't pay more than 46euros! Also if anyone spots one for either show on Sunday, please let me know. Since if I do go I'll be there then anyway! ;)
I'm gald Alizée will not have to bump into Natasha St Pier. I will admit that the way she was treated by the host the day of their duet still has me on a slow burn.

Woo hoo, so I'm going! :) Not hitting up Vivement Dimanche, but should still be very cool. I've always wanted to see Les Enfoirés. Flying to Frankfurt Germany on Saturday and Sunday, then taking a bus straight to my hotel in Strasbourg from there. Concert Monday night, then returning home the next day via the same route. Under $800 usd for the whole trip including travel, hotel, and concert ticket.
Now... will anyone join me???
There's going to be a third and final online ticket sale this Monday, same sites as before. However you must use the in-store pickup option as tickets cannot be mailed out in time anymore.

Summary of the first night from mylene.net. Sounds really good! Now I just hope they don't cut out any of her parts on the nights we are there. Since they will be filming then, there will be several additional guests.
-During the opening number Alizée is in a boat with other artists which floats through the audience. She sings the chorus with them.
-She comes out later with Pascal Obispo to promote the CD and DVD.
-Sings "Relax" by Mika, with a very good voice.
-Sings Obispo's "Fan" with Amel Bent and Julie Zenatti, standing on a table in the middle of the audience.
-Last but not least, "Double Je" by Christophe Willem. "She dazzles the scene with a tango dance, the best dancer by far! One might have expected competition from Lorie, but no. The public was amazed!"
-"Basically, very photogenic, excellent dancer, friendly, no false notes on the less difficult songs, but a public not very enthusiastic... kind of like with Elsa!"

From someone at AFC who attended thursday's show... In french.
Who's volunteer for translating ?

Really great pics, it's funny to see her with curls in her hair, i know it was more than likely just for this event but i think it kinda suits her. This is my first post here in a long time, i guess we may see a few AF members pop up here more now that we are homeless for the time being. :)

Home! Just got back about an hour ago. Food, check this forum. Now to copy over my 2.5 Gig of photos and videos to my computer. I just wish I had one more chance to see Alizée do that tango bit in the red dress, without taking any pictures or anything and from a better angle than I got the second night. She wasn't out long, but she was the glowing ruby spotlight piece of the song.
This Les Enfoirés show was really cool. As you can see, it wasn't just a bunch of famous singers singing. Every song was a theater piece and they had various skits to go with most stuff as well as other little humor pieces.
So, where's Ronny's and Ben's stories? I'll get back to you. I want to see some of these videos posted and copy these photos. Some of them are certainly from a better vantage point than I had.
Oh, and by the way, no I don't have a job and yes I did grab tix and basically at a moments notice, get up and travel half way around the world - though I had tried to get tickets earlier and just screwed it up - but this turned out great.
Looks like a great time. Can't wait to see more and hear more details.

Roman, you're probably the coolest person right now. Hurry up with the media and i'll love you long time! :P
Hey guys, it's pretty late here but I wanted to post this before I have to head back to work tomorrow. Haven't had time to proof-read, so there is bound to be many mistakes. Sorry, I'll try to fix them later. By the way, there are a lot of DailyMotion videos in this post. I notice the sound sometimes craps out after playing like five of them. If this happens to you, close your browser and start again from the clip you left off at.
Anyway...
What an amazing show! Spectacle doesn't begin to describe it. It's not just songs, it's little vignettes - dozens of stars participating in musical numbers, comedy sketches, and medleys all built around different themes (like a gameshow, prison scene, beauty contest, etc...) with set changes and consumes to match. The stage was set up like a huge medieval castle, but pieces moved around and video projections changed depending on the tableau. At 4 and a half hours long (!!), it's hard to convey fully. You'll understand better with further pics, videos, and of course the official TV broadcast and DVD release.
As for Alizée, her part was significant and impressive! She may not have been the most enthusiastically received by the public, but she sang great, danced even better, looked amazing, and infused everything she did with great energy and presence. One only wishes she'd apply this kind of magic to her own material! Those who've worried about her live abilities needn't have, though it is true that her style seems to have shifted a few pitches higher now. And truth be told she doesn't sing a whole lot during the show, maybe 15 minutes total. But she's on stage plenty (upwards of an hour) in a chorus, dancing, or just otherwise participating in the scene. And it's no bad thing, some were my favorite moments! The only down side is they may not be properly represented on the DVD, which will naturally focus more on the people taking center stage. Even many of the summaries up until now have glossed over some of these parts.
But fear not, we've got you covered! I'll describe them below, and Roman and Ronny took excellent photos and videos! Myself on the other hand... I just used a crappy camera phone and the results are almost not worth posting. But I will just for completeness sake. The stuff to come is 100x better, but I'll wait to let the respective authors post their own material. All my stuff is from Monday night only, didn't bother to bring anything Sunday.
The two shows we went to, Sunday night and Monday, were almost identical so I'll describe them together, noting the few places they differed. Doors opened at 7pm on Sunday and around 6:30 on Monday. We had been waiting online for several extra hours the second day, and should have been among the first in if they hadn't inexplicably opened one gate early. Damn French concert organization! So myself and Roman wound up in about the same place both times (near the front, left of center), though Ronny got to the right of us on Monday.
Here's a couple shots and a video of us goofing around in line:

The show started promptly at 8pm with a long, boring 25 minute video of clips from shows past which then lead directly into the concert proper. The artists all come out on boats, dressed in cloaks and masks. Lili's is pink of course! It's a very nice song, great atmosphere. They climb on stage then take off their masks for the rest of the number. The the set turns into a king and queen's throne room and and cast lines up to kneel before the royal couple, in this case Pierre Palmade and Lorie. But as soon as they're away, things break out into a rock party. Lili dances great here! The king and queen return, and everyone scuttles back into place, but as soon as they're away again it's time to rock out once more!

After this Lili runs off-stage for the first time of the evening. The next number is a pretty cool bank robbery themed scene with Jenifer, Pascal Obispo, Christophe Willem, and others who throw fake money into the audience. Next up is "Mr. Restos 2008", a kind of male beauty pageant where each contestant struts his stuff with a song.
A few blurry pics:

Now Lili and Pascal come out to advertise the CD and DVD as you've seen. She's wearing a slinky sleeveless black dress that elicits a few cat calls from the male audience, especially when she flirtatiously said "merci pascal" the first evening. They come over to the center portion of the stage which sticks out a bit into the audience right near us, and lead a little guys-versus-girls sing along before running back off stage.
Compared to others, my woeful photos of this moment:
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0021.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0021.jpg) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0022.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0022.jpg) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0023.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0023.jpg) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0024.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0024.jpg) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0025.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0025.jpg) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0026.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0026.jpg)
There are a couple numbers without Alizée now, including a very well done scene across several rooms of an apartment, one featuring a children's choir, and a very impressive prison medley with some of the cast all decked out in uniforms and in cages, before the children break down the walls of their cell (and the well-animated video backdrop changes to match). Between acts throughout the show there is some comedy banter while the stage hands set stuff up and break it down.
Pic of the prison number:
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0027.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0027.jpg)
Next the whole set transforms into a pulsing red Valentine's card, complete with a giant red heart balloon which Alizée helps carry. Mimi and Garou share a special moment after this (those who've followed past shows know what I mean), and then there's a really cool scene where a couple of the singers dress as angles and fly around the stage on pulleys in front of a projection of rushing clouds, which creates quite a convincing illusion of flight on the two large video screens on either side of the stage. It's just a shame that Lili wasn't part of this act!
A pic of Jenifer from the "heart" song, and a video of the flying angels:
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0028.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0028.jpg) <object width="200" height="180"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47orw&miniMode=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47orw&miniMode=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="200" height="180" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object>
She returns for the next sequence, though, which features a school-room scene in one corner and a beach scene on the right atop a flight of stairs. Lili is there lounging about during some parts, and tossing a ball back and forth during others. On Sunday night she was right next to Celine Dion this whole time.
Video:

The next song was definitely a highlight - a fun rendition of Philippe Katerine's Louxor j'adore. Anyone familiar with this song knows that it's great live, allowing the audience to scream when the music stops with "je coupe le son" and go crazy when it returns with "je remets le son". On top of that, Lorie looked really hot here (the first of a few times she caught my attention), and even better yet Lili comes out toward the end with a few other women all dress and dancing Egyptian style, complete with wig. A very, very fun song!
Dance like an Egyptian!
<object width="200" height="180"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47osw&miniMode=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47osw&miniMode=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="200" height="180" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object>
Afterwards is a song with a couple artists playing birds in a giant cage. But back to Alizée! The next sequence is on of her times to shine. It's staged like a soccer match between the guys and the gals, with Alizée leading her team. They march out swinging while a few cheerleaders run through the audience and onto the stage. The girls are wearing cute red hoodies that show a little midriff and sweatpants that flatter their figures. Lili starts the number with her rendition of "Relax" which we've heard all about and will be sure to see on DVD. For the rest of the time she's running around the stage either being chased by some of the guys (often Pascal Obispo), or trying to hide the trophy they're competing for. Very cute! And of course all the gals cover their ears in disgust when the guys sing. It all ends in hilarious fashion with a Fatal Bazooka rap, and everyone rushing to the head of the stage with Lili front and center. Now on Sunday night only there was a truly priceless moment as the medley ended. Just as everyone was about to turn and run off stage, Pascal Obispo swooped in out of nowhere and one swift motion scooped Lili right up into his arms and carried her away! She looked quite surprised, kicking and screaming as he ran off with her!
How could I not take some fuzzy pics and video of that?

The next number was very cool even without Alizée. Four singers (including Nolwenn) go through the stages of life with appropriate costume changes in front of a gradually setting sun. Then there's a hot "brothel vs. church" scene with very cool graphics and some good singing from Celine Dion on Sunday night. Lorie, in a skimpy black corset type thing, is drool inducing here, and was getting a lot of shouts from the audience as the crew took their sweet time setting up the scene!
Lorie looking hot:
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0032.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0032.jpg) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0033.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0033.jpg) http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0034.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0034.jpg)
Now it's time for the much talked about "Fan" sequence with Lili on a table riser in the middle of the audience. Unfortunately we were quite far away from her both nights, though Ronny may have been closer on Monday. Anyway, as you all know she's decked out in foppish suite and cane, which seems weird but goes well with the rock and roll antics of this segment. Pascal Obispo's song "Fan" is used as the linking piece between several other rock sequences on the main stage. Lili sings the chorus plus a few verse lines very well and rocks out in between, swinging her cane around or holding a mirror and reflecting light on stage.
I actually got some ok video of this, though I think we'll have to wait for the DVD to do it real justice!
<object width="200" height="180"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47ovu&miniMode=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47ovu&miniMode=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="200" height="180" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object> <object width="200" height="180"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47owg&miniMode=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47owg&miniMode=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="200" height="180" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object>
Lili gets no rest because after this and some banter things move right into the next medley, which is kind of Halloween themed with bats and jack-o-lanterns and other such stuff. Alizée and several other women enter the stage from the sectioned off area in front of the audience and do a great dance routine dressed as witches through Lorie's Ensorcelée, Queen's It's a Kind of Magic, and a few other songs. The moves really suite Lili, allowing her to really show off her dancing chomps and making this one of my favorite bits of the whole show. I liked it so much in fact that I recorded the whole thing, though I know Roman at least got it in much better quality. Which is good because they might not show much on the DVD, instead focusing on the people singing. Toward the end of this number, the witches all ran to one side of the stage to take off their costumes, revealing elegant dresses underneath. Alizée finished the number like this, in a shinny pink one that along with her hair made her look like a 1920s flapper! She was really into the last bits here Sunday night, audibly yelling a few lines into the microphone of the guy being pushed around in a cart next to her.
Anyway, here's said video plus one crappy pic from after:
<object width="200" height="180"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47oxv&miniMode=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47oxv&miniMode=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="200" height="180" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object> http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0035.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0035.jpg)
Next up is the much ballyhooed salsa number. Now people have been raving about Alizée's "tango" dance here, so maybe it's because my expectations were too high but I was disappointed. It isn't so much a tango as it is just a short (1min) tango/salsa inspired solo with a few spins and brushes with Patrick Bruel. But hey Alizée does get the spotlight for a moment, so it's cool! And sure to be featured on the DVD, which is why I didn't bother with pictures or video (though I'm sure Ronny and Roman got it). Alizée actually comes onto the stage at the start of the act, but hides behind a pillar while the other dancers get a chance first. There's a neat volcano graphic in the background, and a bead curtain and rhythm drummers on stage.
But this Alizée-intensive portion of the show continues with one final song! Christophe Willem's Double Je, which Lili sings with Christophe Mae. She sounds really good here, and looks cool in her black dress and glasses. There are two others singing too, Nolwenn and someone else, as well as a troop of other gal singers belly dancing along. They use the dancing to buy a little time as the singers race behind a curtain halfway through, and climb up a ladder to appear at the top and finish the song. I took a video of the entire thing again, though as always there is sure to be better soon...
http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/th_picture0036.jpg (http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l245/Snatcher42/Les%20Enfoires/picture0036.jpg) <object width="200" height="180"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47ozw&miniMode=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x47ozw&miniMode=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="200" height="180" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object>
Now there's a long stretch without any Alizée. I don't have anymore pictures or videos either, but I'll try to briefly run through the rest of the show. After Double Je there was a game show segment where each contestant answered a question with a song, kind of like Mr. Restos earlier in the show. We were going on four hours here and so I found this bit rather boring and tedious, with the notable exception of Jenifer's quick rendition of Trois Nuits par Semaine by Indochone. For the next bit, a few artists (most notably for me MC Solaar) walked through the audience and onto the stage. Once there they did another flying sequence like the angels earlier in the concert. The next segment was a little more interesting. Pascal Obispo joined one of the host comedians out by a piano where they tried playing the same song in many different styles. With each genre, a walkway would pass behind them with several people acting out the style: jazz, rock, rap, Japanese, opera, etc.
We were now coming to the end. A couple singers (Elsa, etc.) came out and sat on the stage and sang a lead-in song to the final, as everyone else slowly marched out on stage dressed in white and gold marching band uniforms. They came out into two lines and criss-crossed at the center of the stage. A cute moment Monday night was when Garou passed by Lorie and stopped to kiss her, which elicited some cheers from the audience since just a little bit earlier they banter comedians between songs were making a few jokes about them being a couple. Anyway, Lili was third place in her line, right where she needed to be to sing her lines in the single we all know, L'Amitie.
After L'Amitie, everyone ripped off the coats of their uniforms, revealing army green Restos du Coeur t shirts underneath. It was time for the Les Enfoirés theme song! Big white balloons and red and silver ticker tape streamed down on us in mass as everyone - artists and audience member alike - went absolutely crazy. The artists got down of the stage and passed among us, though I was never too close. They all went back up on stage to lead the audience in one final sing along. I noticed that both nights Alizée discretely sneaked off the stage as this was winding up. Guess she likes to be the first one out! We check back by the cast exit both nights, but there was no luck in meeting anyone.
Before leaving though, I took one last video of the Zenith concert hall, and the picture of Coluche - the man responsible for starting this whole thing off!

Oh, wow! Now I need to read all of Snatcher's post, but I just came here to say that after downloading my mem card from my camera to my computer (which took like 40 min. on my USB1 :p) that for a crappy compact camera, the sound is awesome and actually I got some kick ass video too! Sorry to tease like this, but it will probably be a while before I can get this stuff up. I don't know if I even want to bother with YouTube. The quality will suck if I do that. It's already shaking hand cam 640x480 quality. Hey, sometimes my arms were just getting to tired as I had to hold them high to get above the crowd (like everyone else in front of me). Well, again, I'll get back.
Edit: oh, yeah, and I love Alizée's curly hair! It's so cute!

:) Roman what does it say on the second picture in ur signature? :P :) mille baisers Alizée (I think). It means a thousand kisses. It's one of the things she used to, and maybe still does use to give an autograph. That's a well known picture and I got it off some web site I don't remember quite which.

Good stuff, Snatcher! Can't wait for Roman's post. Where is RMJ going to post his stuff? Curious to see how his stuff turned out...he's probably got so much info on Alizee by now, he could probably write a book..

Boring alert! I think since I bothered to write it out and for those interested in following the boring part of a story, I'll start at the beginning. While Snatcher's pics may have been blurry, he knew what was going on a lot better than I did and has now told you about it; so maybe I'll quote him on the actual show if I have some comments. I only have part of my story so far anyway. Fortunately, I'll leave out some of the unpleasant and extremely boring air transit details.
<st1:city><st1>Strasbourg</st1></st1:city> trip log part 1:
Getting Tickets:
Sunday 2008-01-20: waiting all day for the time to try to get tickets. <st1:time hour="0" minute="00">Midnight</st1:time> rolls around and I'm doing final checks to make sure that I have all four ticket sites open in windows and refresh them just to make sure everything is working etc. The sale begins at <st1:time hour="10" minute="0">10:00am</st1:time> in <st1:country-region><st1>France</st1></st1:country-region>, that's <st1:time hour="1" minute="0">1:00am</st1:time> here. As the time approaches, I keep refreshing each page to check. Even a minute before, the page still says sale starts at <st1:time minute="0" hour="10">10:00</st1:time>. I'm looking at my computer's clock (which I had fortunately set to synchronize with internet time sources, so it's right to the second). The numbers click over 1-:-0-0-A-M and I scramble to hit refresh again. The board lights up; so to speak. All days are available. So, I immediately click on lundi since that's when Snatcher said he will be there and of course I therefore want to go with him. I choose one ticket and proceed through the pages, credit card yada yada. Then I have to paste back in the URL to the main page which I had copied. Nope, all gone, nothing available. So, I switch to the next window. Score! I get two tickets for Sunday, though I realized later I should have tried the next window first since I now have to go to two stores to pickup the tickets. Anyway, I'm all happy until a few hours later Snatcher asks me if I even tried to get a ticket for Saturday night since I will theoretically be there. Of all the stupid ****! I didn't even think of that being so focused on getting the two days that we will both be there.
Later on he says, 'hey, I'm going to bed, but if you can get another ticket for Sun or Mon, get it! I'll explain later.' Well, ok, I think I'll keep trying every once in a while because I actually do still see tickets showing up every once in a while. They come and go. Then at one point - holy ****! Several show up for every day! One day even had 10 available - after like 6 hours! So, I go through the same process only being able to do one day at a time and completing each transaction before trying another for fear that if I try to get more than one reserved at the same time, I'll waste time and loose one or both somehow. I get Sunday, then Monday is still available. Unfortunately, by the time I get back, no more Saturday. Well, at least I'll have company the days that I go. And two days is awesome! Why not? See it a couple times and maybe I'll know the sing-along songs a little better on Monday (ok, maybe not). Actually, it's probably good that I didn't get Saturday, if for no other reason than because I was really tired by the end of that day. As for sing alongs, Mimi kept doing this thing about a petite cigogne (stork). I still couldn't quite catch it after like 6 times, but it was kind of annoying anyway. :p Well, of course I didn't know what she was talking about. Imagine how cool the concert would have been if I had actually known what anyone was talking about. Ok, call me crazy, no don't… not necessary.
Crazy day, have to book flights and hotel and all that and things change, somehow Ronny is joining us - youpidou! Checking finances, etc.
Get several hours sleep after being up about 24 hours. Now what? I need a new camera for one thing. Don't know if that's going to happen.
<o></o><o>Babbling about a camera:</o>
I spend the next couple days looking for cameras and though Ronny convinced me to get the Fujifilm F31 or at least the F50, no one had any, or so I thought. I happened to be going near a Best Buy anyway; so, though I already called and asked, I go in to check out what they do have and ask anyway. Sure enough! They have some F50se's left. SE? It's supposed to be an F50fd, oh well, this is apparently the SecretEdition which is nowhere mentioned on <st1:city><st1>Fuji</st1></st1:city>'s web site, but it seems to be right. My old camera didn't take as good pictures as I want the chance to get. Turns out that there is a lot to be said for knowing how to set the settings right anyway and my pictures are not that great.
<o></o>
Going there:
So, after sleeping for maybe 4 hours on Thursday/Friday, I drive to airport, fly to Washington DC, Dulles airport (could've gotten cheaper flight through Chicago, but especially with a relatively short layover and just not trusting flights to and from Chicago which I've always heard about having delays and cancellations, I detour around Chicago). It turns out that Dulles has it's own problems and can't get any planes on time (or maybe it's just United Airlines – they were nice other than that. Always get a non-stop international flight back to the west coast. Those planes are nice and big.). So, my flight out is so delayed that I eventually get another flight into <st1><st1:city>Frankfurt</st1:city>, <st1:country-region>Germany</st1:country-region></st1>. If I had waited for my plane, I might have missed getting the tickets and missed the whole thing – scary time, very scary. (Luckily for you, I left out plenty of details of the flight stuff.)
<o></o>
In <st1>Frankfurt</st1>, I had to find my bus. Eventually I decide to trust everyone who keeps telling me to just go out to the street and wait for the Lufthansa bus from there to <st1:city><st1>Strasbourg</st1></st1:city>. Sure enough, I find a yellow sign for it and after an hour or two it comes, driver accepts the ticket from United who handled all the ticketing for my trip, I get on, no problem. (if you ever go, here's what it looks like:
http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/3075/dscf0017shrunkqb2.th.jpg (http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/3075/dscf0017shrunkqb2.jpg)
Bye bye Frankfurt!
http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/1637/dscf0020compressednv7.th.jpg (http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/1637/dscf0020compressednv7.jpg) http://imgcash2.imageshack.us/img148/5595/dscf0021compressedso7.th.jpg (http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/5595/dscf0021compressedso7.jpg)http://imgcash6.imageshack.us/img148/5808/dscf0022shrunkvw6.th.jpg (http://img148.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscf0022shrunkvw6.jpg)
So, on the bus, the driver puts on the radio. There's some news or something, then Madonna's "Like a Virgin (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZ9ZcKOYDh0)". I put on my own radio. I find a classic rock station that plays American music - Billy Joel's "Piano Man (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ1_M_L_RSI)", Glenn Frey's "The Heat Is On (http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=1-mU-YSk32I)", actually on another channel. I find an English program for Americans talking about <st1:city><st1>Metz</st1></st1:city> and WWII America history in <st1:country-region><st1>France</st1></st1:country-region> and <st1>Europe</st1>. But, no French channels; so, I turn it off.
In Strasbourg!
After a few quick hours, hey, here we are finally in<st1:city><st1> Strasbourg</st1></st1:city>! The Gare Central (train station) is right next to us. It looks really interesting and impressive with the big half-dome of glass around the front.
http://imgcash4.imageshack.us/img211/9591/dscf0023compressedwz5.th.jpg (http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9591/dscf0023compressedwz5.jpg)
Ronny convinced me that I could probably walk from here and it sure looks like it. Ben's hotel is right across the square/street from the Gare and quite obvious with it's large sign on the top of the building.
http://imgcash5.imageshack.us/img409/149/dscf0026fixedcompressedvn7.th.jpg (http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/149/dscf0026fixedcompressedvn7.jpg)
I forgot to print out a map that shows how to walk from here to my hotel; so, I go into the Gare. There are several small stores inside and quickly I find one with books and magazines, and oh yes, a map of <st1:city><st1>Strasbourg</st1></st1:city> and vicinity. It cost four euros 10 cents, or qua-di as the vendeur or caisseur says (luckly I knew the price before she said it, otherwise I might not have quite caught that which would usually be said more like 'quatre euros dix' in a French class). So, quickly I find the street to take, basically right across from where I am, head down and find the hotel.
http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img261/2081/dscf0029rotatedcomprwu6.th.jpg (http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/2081/dscf0029rotatedcomprwu6.jpg)(looking toward the tram station Homme de Fer, which is right on the other side of the building at the end. You can kind of see it under the building) The nice English speaking (of course, as all hotel receptionists do I presume) lady at the front desk checked me in and gave me a free touristy map of <st1:city><st1>Strasbourg</st1></st1:city>. Oh well.
<o></o>
Get tickets and CDs:
I drop off my stuff and immediately head out to get the tickets. Just around the corner is the Virgin Megastore. The billeterie is conveniently right next to the entrance à droite. So, I wait in line. When I get up, I say, "bonjour, j'ai quatre billets pour retrait" or something like that and hand the lady there my printouts of the receipts and credit card. It's rather obvious what I want; so, it goes ok without any English. She tries to ask me something about 'paiement avec ceci' while holding the card. I assume she's asking me if that's the card I used to order the tickets; so, "oui" takes care of that question. After that, straight to the FNAC, just around the corner from that. I'm looking around and having some trouble finding the billeterie here. I go to the caisse (cashier's counter) and kind of just show my printout. The lady there says it's up-stairs on the left. I remember while going up the escalator that when I saw an indication of 2nd floor for the billeterie at the entrance it means 2 floors up – 3rd floor to Americans. Of course, I start off going right at the top, having had 20 seconds to distract me from my mission and the mental note that it's on the left.
<o></o>
Anyway, I get that ticket and start searching for the Alizée stands. I need to pick up the new Mademoiselle Juliette remix disks for me and Ronny. Nothing. :(
Eventually I head back over to Virgin to look. Aha! Here's Psychédélices, but no Mademoiselle Juliette.
http://imgcash2.imageshack.us/img444/4142/dscf0031rotatedcomprwa7.th.jpg (http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/4142/dscf0031rotatedcomprwa7.jpg)
Since I can't find it, I eventually ask some employee looking guy, "Il y a des nouvaux singles Mademoiselle Juliette d'Alizée?" or something like that. After figuring out what the hell I'm talking about he responds with perfectly good English and shows me where they are. I ask him for any format they have, and though the vinyl was released the same day as the maxi CD they do have (or whatever that thing's called), they don't have it. As you probably know, it seems the regular single was canceled, though I didn't specifically ask about that.
<o></o>
Meet RMJ:
I decide to take my disks back to the hotel and then maybe go try asking at FNAC and get some food. Unfortunately, I decide to lie down instead. That's it for me. I just manage to get myself up late into the night so I can go meet Ronny at the train station. I try to figure out what track he'll be on and wander around a bit.
http://imgcash5.imageshack.us/img261/5021/dscf0034comprxq1.th.jpg (http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/5021/dscf0034comprxq1.jpg)
Eventually I decide to just stay at the front area called the meeting point, I actually happen to step outside under the big glass hemi-dome at the main entrance
http://imgcash5.imageshack.us/img137/7404/dscf0035comprshrunkoy7.th.jpg (http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/7404/dscf0035comprshrunkoy7.jpg)
and after a few moments a bit after <st1:time hour="23" minute="30">11:30pm</st1:time>, he walks up to me. Good to see you buddy!
<o></o>
Though Ronny, as usual, brought his notebook computer and both cameras and other stuff, he managed to pack incredibly light and only has a backpack! So, we go back to the room and watch some videos on his computer, quickly check the forum, since there's free wifi, and find a few new pictures from the concert. Eventually, it's like <st1:time hour="4" minute="30">4:30 am</st1:time> or something very late in any case; so, we go to sleep.
<o></o>
(note: some pics of unimportant stuff were reduced because of the ridiculous size of originals and time stamps are in GMT to avoid having to guess when it was taken.)

How dare you do that to us :p Just kidding looks like you and everyone else had a great time, wish I could have seen it. I look forward to seeing the video when you get around to it.
-EDIT- Thanks also to you Snatcher for your story of the night, sounded like quite a show.
Dang I thought the page before was the last page lol, now I get to read Romans story :D
Thanks Snatcher and Roman for taking the time to share this with us !! Awesome description from you guys lifetime experience !! All the best to you guys, we salute you !! ;) :)

Well, it's a darn good thing that I got a bunch of video because even with a seemingly decent camera I didn't really manage to take one good quality picture of Alizée. It's sad. I guess you really have to know what you are doing, though maybe if this camera had more manual settings I wouldn't be messing with so much at the wrong moment.

What is Les Enfoirés? Looks like a pretty fun event.
Les Enfoirés raises money for "Restos du Coeur," literally "restaurants of the heart." It is an organization that feeds the needy all over France. It was founded by a comedian named Colouche (may be off on the spelling), who also started the concert series. "Les Enfoirés" means "the bastards," a reference to an insult Colouche famously slung at the police after they interfered with something of his.

Part 2:
Around town:
So, we get up late enough that we decide there isn't really time to get food before checkout. We leave with our stuff and I'm so hungry that I don't want to drop stuff off at the next hotel before getting food. Ronny knows a good place to eat from the last time we were here; so, we wander around the town trying to find it and carrying all our stuff, which is fortunately not really all that much.
Keep your eye to the sky and you'll see the cathedral tower - a good landmark.

There really are some interesting and apparently very old buildings in this city. Here's some more. Check out the added on section that's one room wide.
http://imgcash4.imageshack.us/img179/5278/dscf0045comprxm0.th.jpg (http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/5278/dscf0045comprxm0.jpg)
It's interesting how it has all this really old architecture, Gothic churches, http://imgcash3.imageshack.us/img213/8373/dscf0049comprxa9.th.jpg (http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/8373/dscf0049comprxa9.jpg)etc., and then there's a clothing store or a camera store or something just across the little street.http://imgcash3.imageshack.us/img175/9522/dscf0051comprkn4.th.jpg (http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/9522/dscf0051comprkn4.jpg)
Finally we find Flam's, the restaurant we were looking for. Food is ok. Not really my thing. Pasta plate is not very big or maybe I'm just too hungry. Atmosphere and decoration is nice.
http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img208/5687/dscf0047comprlb9.th.jpg (http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/5687/dscf0047comprlb9.jpg)http://imgcash4.imageshack.us/img174/733/dscf0046comprij9.th.jpg (http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/733/dscf0046comprij9.jpg)
After that, we finally go to leave our stuff at the hotel, which is pretty nice actually.
We decide to visit La Petite France.

Part 3
La Petite France:
So, we go back to La Gare Centrale
http://imgcash5.imageshack.us/img144/667/lpf02fz9.th.jpg (http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/667/lpf02fz9.jpg)
and take a tram to this section of the city. http://imgcash3.imageshack.us/img90/5520/lpf01dh1.th.jpg (http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/5520/lpf01dh1.jpg)
I'm glad to have RMJ with me or I might not have known to through here. It's very old timey and pretty. After reaching the area and taking a few photos:
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/3835/lpf04tc8.th.jpg (http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/3835/lpf04tc8.jpg)http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/2649/lpf05sq6.th.jpg (http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/2649/lpf05sq6.jpg)http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/5076/lpf06fc4.th.jpg (http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/5076/lpf06fc4.jpg) http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/7457/lpf07lt7.th.jpg (http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/7457/lpf07lt7.jpg)http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/7910/lpf08mv5.th.jpg (http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/7910/lpf08mv5.jpg)
we go over a bridge or actually through (can see from first photo). It's like a tunnel and is actually a two level building. Going through, there are rooms on both sides that are fenced off, but display various kinds of old statues that were probably used on churches and that sort of thing. Here at the end we are able to go upstairs onto the flat roof and get another better look at the layout of the area.
http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/6462/lpf09ar4.th.jpg (http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/6462/lpf09ar4.jpg)
We decide where to go next and head off.
Here's the section you might read about on the net. It's funny, it seems that in addition to going up, the rooms in these buildings also sink down below street level. Some of the doors are only like 4 1/2 feet tall or something.
http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/9576/lpf10ra0.th.jpg (http://img238.imageshack.us/img238/9576/lpf10ra0.jpg)http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/1520/lpf11so7.th.jpg (http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/1520/lpf11so7.jpg)
There's a lot of water here. Restaurants, hotels, etc. right up against the river.
http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/9907/lpf12dn2.th.jpg (http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/9907/lpf12dn2.jpg)http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/85/lpf14wm3.th.jpg (http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/85/lpf14wm3.jpg)http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/3175/lpf15zn1.th.jpg (http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/3175/lpf15zn1.jpg)
There are some cool huge white swans. Maybe RMJ will post a pic. There is also a really cool tour boat going up the stream here. It has a rounded glass top and sides and it sort of reminds me of the trams. To get further upstream is has to go into a lock and have the water level raised. Pretty funny to see in the middle of town. There's so much to see and do here.
Head off to concert:
We go back, get some food really quick, and wait in the Gare for Ben. Oops, should have gone to his hotel as he was already there. Well, we meet up and head right over to the concert on the tram. The lines - very much plural - are already incredible. It's like 5:30pm or something. We manage to sort of pack into one of the lines. After several line crunches where no one is actually going in, but the line gets shorter anyway, we are almost in the normal line section. At some point all these people come cutting through the lines and going to the parking lot. We realize the last show has just gotten finished. A while after that and the line starts moving. It's like 7pm, an hour before the start of the concert. What's this going on over on the side? Why are people running over there? We eventually realize that people had been running over to a new line because it suddenly opened up and people are being let in there as well. Well, we stick to our line as we're getting pretty close and are not really sure what the deal is with that line anyway.
Finally we get in and it's already packed, of course. We get to the back area of the standing room - just where you don't want to be. I run up to see if I can find better seats and verify that an open area is reserved. I got nothing, so I head back. As the night wears on we manage to migrate a bit forward and to the center anyway. It sort of helped us that unfortunately it was very hot and a few people passed out and were taken away. A few other people get close and have to sit down and drink/wear some water. Hey, in all the concert is great! We have a great time rocking out to some of the more energetic songs and even without really following what is going on very well, it's still amusing. Ronny's taking lots of pictures and video which we'll see when we get back. For photos, I try, but get didley. Fortunately I get some decent video.

At the concert:
For first photo/vid http://moi-alizee.us/forums/showpost.php?p=89958&postcount=150
First song - The artists all come out on boats, dressed in cloaks and masks. Lili's is pink of course! It's a very nice song, great atmosphere. They climb on stage then take off their masks for the rest of the number. actually Snatcher's shots of this are better than mine. The the set turns into a king and queen's throne room and and cast lines up to kneel before the royal couple, in this case Pierre Palmade and Lorie. But as soon as they're away, things break out into a rock party. Lili dances great here! The king and queen return, and everyone scuttles back into place, but as soon as they're away again it's time to rock out once more!my crappy blurry photos:http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/9081/dscf0122iu6.jpg (http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/9081/dscf0122iu6.jpg)

The next number is a pretty cool bank robbery themed scene with Jenifer, Pascal Obispo, Christophe Willem, and others who throw fake money into the audience.
And here's what it looks like:
http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/8462/dscf0214vl5oi2.jpg
So, the money's flying and I pick this one up and catch one thrown by Christophe Willem.
Then Mr Restos:

Now Lili and Pascal come out to advertise the CD and DVD as you've seen. haha! Yes, Alizée says merci Pascal in a very sexy Alizée voice. Disque presentation video (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Z3WBPQ59). I'm pretty certain those are the same shoes Alizée wore to the séance de dédicace signing at the Virgin Mégastore. Les filles (the girls) are rather energetic tonight on Monday. Check her out running away in those heels - scary! (didn't do that Sunday)
Sorry, this is taking too long, I'm going to just link to very small versions of my photos now (800x600)(originals are 4000x3000):
Here's a non-blurry one of the prison scene: http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/2332/DSCF0131_irfan_800x600.jpg

On Sunday night she was right next to Celine Dion this whole time. Céline sat in the chair on Sunday and Alizée on the steps beside her. On Monday Alizée was in the chair. It made a little more sense with Céline, but a minor thing. It's funny, on Sunday that part with Alizée tossing the ball back and forth with some guy (too far to see) ended with her getting aggressive and throwing it too hard. He couldn't catch it and it went bouncing down the steps.

I wish i was made of fancy play material like that. It must be such a headrush to be on a stage like that.
For those who don't like to read long reports, I thought I'd just make a quick list of Lili's participation in the show and her role in each number:
01. Intro
a. Ville de lumière (chorus)
b. Manu Chao (dancer)
02. CD/DVD promotion with Pascal Obispo
03. Aimer est plus fort que d'être aimé (extra)
04. Les matins d'hiver (extra)
05. Louxor j'adore (dancer)
06. Medley "Le match" (singer)
07. Medley "Fan" (singer)
08. Medley "La magie" (dancer)
09. Le coeur volcan (dancer)
10. Double je (singer)
11. Finale
a. L'amitié (singer)
b. La chanson des restos (chorus)
As you can see, it was much more for her than in past shows (2001 was just one medley plus the intro and ending, 2002 only five)!

Hey this one is actually "Aimer est plus fort que d'être aimé". Do you have any footage of Louxor j'adore? I can't remember. Hope so, cause it seems the most under-represented scene in people's pics and videos. Maybe because it was hard to recognize Alizée in the Egyptian costume and wig? But well the tinkerbell tattoo gave her away! :)

I was afraid I got some of those mixed up. I think I do have that. Screwed up today. I could have gotten that DVD burned. I'll try to do that like monday or something, and upload more videos.
Edit: Ok, that one is what I said it was, which is what I was quoting you on, but I do have something with the Egyptian thing like you were talking about. Actually just checked and only have a couple little video clips that aren't very good really, but I can see which one is Alizée anyway.

Well, unfortunately I've taken too long to write up a story here; so, to get right to the point and interesting part, I'll just upload any photos or videos I have. Sorry about reducing my photos. If they were actually really good ones I'd upload a zip to megaupload or something. In any case, the videos can't/shouldn't be reduced; so, here they are. I might get the names of songs and stuff wrong or just don't know it. You can figure it out.
* fille contre garçon (girls against boys) "le match" I think. I am so glad this will be on DVD! and yes, Alizée is so hot here! (3 clips from 2 days):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6P4OW2GK
* as Snatcher42 said: Four singers (including Nolwenn) go through the stages of life with appropriate costume changes in front of a gradually setting sun. Then there's a hot "brothel vs. church" scene with very cool graphics and some good singing from Celine Dion on Sunday night. Lorie, in a skimpy black corset type thing, is drool inducing here, and was getting a lot of shouts from the audience as the crew took their sweet time setting up the scene!since I have photos:

* 08. Medley "La magie" (dancer)Alizée as witch (2 clips): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O6M60V8H
and after (only decent shot): http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/8256/dscf0090lamagie80pr5.th.jpg (http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/8256/dscf0090lamagie80pr5.jpg)

and video: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8AC1VEIW (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8AC1VEIW*)
* For the next bit, a few artists (most notably for me MC Solaar) walked through the audience and onto the stage. Once there they did another flying sequence like the angels earlier in the concert.http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6991/dscf0094lightenshrunkes4.th.jpg (http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6991/dscf0094lightenshrunkes4.jpg) http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/2203/dscf0095lightenshrunkyz6.th.jpg (http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/2203/dscf0095lightenshrunkyz6.jpg) http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6879/dscf0096shrunkjj9.th.jpg (http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6879/dscf0096shrunkjj9.jpg)
and the part with Pascal: http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/9203/dscf0097shrunkra0.th.jpg (http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/9203/dscf0097shrunkra0.jpg) http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/97/dscf0098shrunkil9.th.jpg (http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/97/dscf0098shrunkil9.jpg)
*et finalement: the finale with l'Amitié and then the Restos theme song (one of my favorite in the whole thing)
Check out Alizée's outfit. It's a little different, maybe cause she's little. :p Ok, it's perhaps to be a more feminine cut too.

Oh, ok.
Click link, enter text and hit enter, wait 25 seconds or whatever, then click free download when it appears and a file save dialog box will come up... you know? Oh, just realized you're asking if I put the files out elsewhere. Well, I suppose some people like looking at a crappy quality compressed streamed file, but you know, it's a dilemma. Some of my files are good, but overall probably not such that most people want to spend much time on them, so, you don't want to bother downloading large files. On the other hand, if they are not so spectacular in the first place, aren't you going to want to watch them even less if the quality is reduced? Ok, so you say that you must invest very little to go to Daily Motion or something, so it's not a big deal. I understand, but it would now take even a lot more work to go and put them out somewhere else; so, not going to happen. Sorry, yes, you must download. I got the whole song of l'Amitié; so you might want to download that one. That night I hardly moved the camera off of Alizée; so, other than being distracted by Pascal Obispo goofing around for a moment; it's just watching Alizée stand there and sing, but what more do you want? Capiche?
Ah! Got it...sorry to expose my lack of skills. :o All I saw was $14.99 for two months or $79.99 for two years down at the bottom. Free is good, but is premium membership what you've got?
I'm using a laptop (1.86Ghz) for now. Think I need to invest in an external harddrive. Thanks Roman. :)
Edit: You do a helluva great job holding the camera still.

I have nothing but a free nearly meaningless membership with any of these services; so, probably the best for you would be mediafire as there's no waiting for downloads and their upload actually looks good too. I'll probably use that a lot from now on, except when the file is over 100MB.
Harddrive? Maybe. I have over 55GB of Alizée right now. My new laptop will have a 200GB drive. That should hold me for a while. I think externals are fairly cheap, though you must have a USB 2 port, of course (or firewire I guess).
Holding camera still - thanks. Some of them I did. Sometimes I was trying to watch at the same time and got off a bit, other times I eventually had to stop because my arms got tired. I'm not sure, maybe the image stabilization on the camera helped a little bit, though I read that it's not very good on this camera.

lol thats the correct translation. Ebonics can be tricky sometimes :p

I dono what time the radio promotion is but its suppost to be tomorrow. The DVD comes out on the 29th of Feb, thats like 2 days away. Its average price seems to be around 27€ plus SandH which is about 40.8564 USDish and the overseas SandH.
But note this IS for charity... Les Restos du Coeur, http://www.enfoires.fr/web/menu/index2.html
I really love Alizee doing Les Enfoires, so im probably gonna buy 2001 2002 and 2008 all together.

French Fan, can you estimate how much time Alizée is on screen? I can't wait to watch it, are there some good close ups? Sorry, I know I sound like an obsessed fan - wait a minute - I am an obsessed fan :o
The DVD's being sent "flash" so I'm hoping to watch it early next week, I'm not lucky enough to be in Paris, but someday I will.

Wow that's an hard question...All I can say is that it seemed a while I was waiting for before she appeared on the screen :D
But with so many artists in the show that's normal she had to wait for her turn...
But I have been happy about what I've seen, this show permited to me to see Alizée for a while, hearing this voice and singing on some songs she doesn't have the habit to sing :p
I love the part when she hold the big heart balloon :D

L'Amitié
i love this part 03:10-03:14 (alizee on backgroud)
I just got my first chance to skim through the DVDs. First a few general observations, then a chapter-by-chapter rundown of Lili's participation I made for those just tuning in now and planning to pick up the discs. I haven't even begun looking for myself, Ronny, or Roman in the crowd shots yet! Nor have I really watched the bonus features.
In real life the concert was almost four and a half hours long. About three and a half hours are represented on the DVD. Most of the cut time comes from talking bits and sing-alongs between songs, most of them not very important, though they have removed a large chunk of Alizée's on-stage banter with Pascal Obispo after they promote the CD and DVD. At the real show they entered from the left, talked about the discs, then proceeded to center stage to lead the audience in a short boys vs. girls sing along. On the DVD the beginning of this is still there, but they cut it off before they move to the center. Shame. And I doubt it was any different when shown on TV. So it will only exist in fan videos for now.
Speaking of differences from TV, the DVD is as I was expecting missing the various behind-the-scenes shots peppered throughout the TF1 broadcast. They may be incorporated into the making-of bonus feature, though I can't say for sure until I get my hands on a copy of the television version and compare. I also noticed that the opening credits are different (much shorter), and of course the running order on the DVD is correct unlike on TF1. There may be many more small editing variations, but again I can't say for the moment.
On how the DVD treats Alizée overall, it's fairly positive. Could have been a little better, yes, but then could also have been a whole lot worse. As expected there are some beautiful shots of her when she's singing, especially during Fan where I think she comes off better than anyone else, but less attention paid to her when she's on-stage dancing, in a chorus, or doing something else. This is especially true toward the beginning, where you'd be hard pressed to even tell she was there. But things get better and she becomes more visible even during her small parts on the second disc.
Anyway, here's my rundown of where you can find her:
Disc 1
Chapter - Title - Description
01 - Ville De Lumière - Chorus singer in pink, slightly left of center near the turning gears. Just a few shots.
02 - Manu Chao - Kneels for the king and queen when they walk by, sings and dances on the left when they leave.
04 - Medley Mister Restos - Promoting the CD/DVD with Pascal Obispo after the medley. Much from the actual concert is cut.
08 - Aimer est Plus Fort Que D'Etre Aimé - Holding the heart balloon on the left.
10 - Les Matins D'Hiver - Sitting and playing ball near Celine Dion on the right.
11 - Louxor J'Adore - Blink and you'll miss her, but she is one of the Egyptian dancers.
13 - Medley Le Match - Featured singer on 'Relax', present on-stage throughout the rest of the medley.
16 - Medley Fan - Featured singer on the 'Fan' linking song.
Disc 2
Chapter - Title - Description
01 - Medley La Magie - Dancer, first dressed as a witch with some very nice shots, then in a beige dress.
02 - Le Coeur Volcan - Featured dancer. You can't miss her!
03 - Double Je - Featured singer. Ditto.
07 - Education Sentimentale - Third in the line of chorus singers entering from the right and crossing to the left.
08 - L'Amitié - Featured and chorus singer.
09 - La Chanson Des Restos - She's in there somewhere!
Bonus
Les Enforiés en secret - 40min making-of with shots of Lili rehearsing (on stage, in the studio for Double Je, etc.) & backstage.
Les secrets du clip - Six versions of the L'Amitié music video featuring various candid and backstage shots.

Just got the DVDs this morning. Very enjoyable even if Alizée wasn't involved - she just makes it so much better. My only complaint is there just isn't enough of her. Of course, if the entire show was nothing but her I would still say the same thing. Too much Alizée is not possible.

I've been talking a lot about the backstage shots from the TV broadcast that are missing on the DVD, so here they are extracted from a medium-quality avi. It's a small file, only 20 seconds long... working to get a better mpeg, if RMJ doesn't beat me to it. :)

From this week's TVMag (merci à Cléa):
http://celialilie.free.fr/alizee.jpgOh my god. She is so cute I think it might be a crime, but I think we can pardon her for good behavior. Thanks for that behind the scenes stuff Snatcher. Yes, I'm just now downloading it. I understand why RMJ does not want to do anything but surf the Lilith wave, but I'm just not there. I still haven't gotten my Les Enfoirés (didn't have it expedited). I hope I can see what was different that was on tv before I get it though. Where is it? Who's hiding her? Probably on another thread or something, right? I'll keep searching when I can.
Hope you're DVD comes soon Roman, it's great. Though I haven't seen us in it that clearly yet. BTW, imo faster shipping is always worth the extra money. For me this took only two days to arrive if you don't count the weekend (shipped Thursday, arrived Monday).
FYI, there are definitely some more differences between the DVD and TV broadcast beyond just the backstage shots, song order, and things being taken out. For example, at the beginning of Medley Le Match on the DVD Alizée kicks the ball into the audience, whereas on TF1 she hands it off to Zazie who does. Will keep looking for more... And maybe make a compilation video once I've found them all.
