Thanks for posting Toc, I'm currently downloading at 50 to 60 KB/sec - 30 to 40 minutes. Not too bad in my experience with these download sites.

I've had download speeds in the teens on some of these sites, I guess it's a matter of perception. Of course, when you're waiting for new Alizée sweetness any time is too long.

Just watched the performance. Without a doubt the best MJ performance I've seen so far. My only complaint is that I would have preferred it live, but that's about it. She looks really confident on the stage, much better than her Star Ac appearance (she was probably more nervous because she was singing live).

I wasn't too fond of the choreography on Star Ac, but I like it much better now for some reason.

I like the performance, I think the outfit is OK, but I also thought there were a few awkward moments in the dance too. At least she didn't get bumped into (if I remember right) like in the rehearsal.

Does anyone have better links for downloading the video both of the files (zip) seem to be corrupt. I've downloaded them twice same result. One won't even start to decompress and errors out the starts then fails right away. Thanks

I used Winzip, but just make sure you unzip the file without the 01 at the end of the name. Also, I had to remove the .zip extension from the 01 file first, for it to work.

download speed for the first one was at 1660 kb for nearly the entire download then dropped to 700kb... A measly 500 on the second link for me and it was all for nothing...both files corrupt

i repeat, it's not corrupt, guys. it says it's corrupt if you use your built-in winXP unzipper. try using something like winRAR to unzip it and it will automatically extract 1 file joining the 2 downloads.

True, just go to rarlabDotcom and get winrar there if you don't have it. Make sure both files are in the same directory like on the desktop for example, this way it should work for sure.

Ah, this is a lot better than those couch performances. I think this is the same dance she did on Star Academy with the blond woman. The singing was definitely canned. Neither Alizée nor anyone else can dance like that and sing well at the same time.

Speaking of blond women, that blond announcer is pretty tall, isn't she? Seeing the two of them standing together really points up just how tiny our princess is.

(Don't feel bad about it, Your Grace. Consider how much talent you have per cubic centimeter. Awesome!) :)

Actually I noticed one thing from the recent TV performances that I'm a little concerned about. In the old days, one of the really great things about an Alizée performance was her audience interaction. It is just me, or does it seem that this sort of thing is largely gone now?

I wrote a message about it for her MySpace but was unable to post it, which tells me I probably shouldn't post it yet, and should instead look for a little feedback from you guys first. So here's the text in French followed by a translation:

J'ai une petite critique concernant tes interprétations en direct et j'espere que tu comprendrais.

Dans le passé, une des meillures choses de tes concerts était l'interaction entre toi et l'audience. Tu toujours faisais contact visuel, signes de la main, souriais. Maintenant, tu sembles plus réservé. Pourquois?

Tu as, à mon avis, quatre forces principal en concert: ta voix, ta beauté, ta danse, et ta personnalité, et le dernier est le plus important. C'est ce qui te place au-dessus des autres. Laissez lui briller !

Make sure that you don't take this as an insult or anything, as I'd make just as many mistakes, if not more. Two heads are simply better than one, so we've found more. If you want explanation for anything, let me know :)

DivX comes in handy for watching streaming.

But if diskspace is not an issue (and why would it these days) it's always better to have
the native MPEG-2 file, like posted earlier.
Any type of conversion or resolution change will just screw up the quality big time.
It is alway possible to convert to whatever format from the MPEG-2 file...

B.t.w. I see only about 30MB in difference (say 25% less) between
the MPEG-2 and the DivX, but the artefacts on the DivX are jaggy, bah :)

Well, not quite. When using a joint audio and video stream, QuickTime can play the video fine after you buy the codec, but is only able to encode the video, not audio. I can probably find the solution if I look hard enough, but I don't need to encode any MPEG-2 to anything else at the moment.

THANK YOU! That site is the greatest discovery for me as of lately. There are videos I've never seen or that I've seen in poor quality. Fortunately, the first video I clicked was Moi Lolita at the bottom wich in fact is the Gourmandises performance, this video was poor quality video and sound when I watched it last time, Wow! what a Masterpiece that performance is! :blink:

Deepwaters, I fully approved. Good move with this constructive criticism. Also, in case our French is not up to par or taken the wrong way, have you thought of posting the English translation along with your French message. You know, that way she sees we're curious Westerners, not heartless critics. :)

She made a ton of eye contact with us at Star Academy, even waved a few times. Unfortunatly most of it was while she was sitting on the sides after Moi Lolita, which wasn't shown on TV. Heh, so guess it doesn't count. Says to me she's concentrating real hard on her performance.

That makes sense, Snatcher. It's clear she's as friendly and cool as ever. Those Star Ac performances didn't lend themselves to that anyway, nor did the D D'Or performance of MJ, which was very busy.

I just hope the old touch comes back. It's wonderful to see in some of the old videos.
