What is your favorite Alizee stage performance?

For me it's JEAM, hands down. Whoever thought up that choreography is a genius and god bless the dude who designed the sailor outfit. It's probably not her real style but she did a damn good job at it anyway. Watching her in this video is like a drug.:D

L'Alizé only has one E ;)

Gourmandises at Absolument Été is the reason that we exist.

After my friend showed me the Jen ai marre performance I was pretty much hooked haha. Guess that ones my favorite since it got me into her music.

I picked JEAM, because it was my first and hooked me right away.

On the other hand, the variety of performance, song, rhythm, and dance is what makes her so great. Every move she takes. Every step she takes. Every word she says. I've seen 'em all. I look around and I can't replace it; I would be lost without a trace. Such poetry of motion and words, you could write a song just about that.;)

Although I like the JEAM the best there are many of the others where one particular performance stands out. The JEAM on March 8th is the one that grabbed my attention. Then there was L' Alize at the Dome. That version I like the best of that song. With Moi Lolita I like the Italian music festival version. The real early performances of Moi Lolita late 2000 into the early 2001 in some ways were the best. She was stiff as a log at first then started to loosen up and start moving around as the song proceeds.

The j'en ai marre performance was the first one i ever saw and because of that i love it the most! also the choreography is amazing in that even World of Warcraft thought so!:D

This was very difficult to pick. How do you pick one over the others when they are all perfect. But, for the poll, I guess I would have to say JEAM becasue it was the first performance I saw and it drew me in to the rest.

Close tie would have to be La Isla Bonita. I can't explain it, but everything about that performance grabs me.

In JEAM her moves are amazingly plastic, but not perfectly polished, which is amazing. I coud see she is a real human being dancing uttelry beautiful to the perception, just that. Never ever I have seen such a gracefully dancing girl-singer. I love all of her performances too, but I had to choose for one, is it a sin? Cause you make me feel like I commited one. :D
But I love and respect her to a degree I don't understand it myself. And the first performance that penetrated me totally was Gourmandises stage performance, I melted away watching it, I was like disappeared forever in that gap, only this beautiful girl was there. I was like this-:wub:

Very difficult to pick just one. I voted La Isla Bonita. The performance by Alizée makes Madonna's version look and sound amateurish!

I did not discover Alizee through JEAM, but it was the first 'performance' that I was hooked on.

It's no wonder that video has the most hits on youtube.

Her performance is hypnotic

Then again, I suppose all her performances are.

But... for my absolute favourite, it has to be La Isla Bonita.

She is literally perfect in that video. Faultless.

Don't get me wrong, all her performances are brilliant. But La Isla Bonita could probably turn a gay guy straight.

It was a toss-up between Gourmandises, La Isla Bonita, and J'en ai marre.

At the time, I picked Gourmandises, though after having watched La Isla Bonita again, I regret not having chosen it. :p

I put my vote on La isla bonita because I think it was that one who got me hooked in the beginning. However I also want to mention another of my favorites. I've, since the first time I heard about Alizée (06), had some videos saved on the computer. I never became a real fan back the even though I liked the music and soon kind of forgot about her. But from time to time I have watched the videos and one of the favorites were Il Jouait Du Piano Debout. And just like one of those times, I watched it and She hit me like a lightning from a clear sky, the smile, the eyes, the voice … I wanted to hear, see and know more about her. And one thing led to another and now I’m stuck here. :p

I think the first time I actually saw Alizée was in 2003 or 2004, probably not too long after this particular JEAM performance I saw. I was looking through my dad's emails :D and I saw his friend sent him a video titled "sexy french singer", or something like that. And If I recall correctly he said something to the effect of "I have no idea what she's saying, but she's hot". So I watched the video and really didn't think anything of it except that she was...pretty hot. Then, a few years later after getting kinda interested in WoW, I watched a video on Youtube showing where the dance emotes came from and I thought "huh, this girl looks kinda familiar". So, I favorited the video and after a while I started to come back to watch it more and more, and also started to watch different Alizée videos. And then eventually I came here :).

Now that I think about it..I think the very first time I saw that JEAM video a few years ago...I think I might have JIZZED IN MY PANTS.

I agree with you both.

Although I also found her through JEAM (my no. 2) , and Gourmandises is a great performance (my no. 3), it is her rising to the challenge of doing a Madonna song that seemed to truly bring out the best in her.

My no. 4 would be her other Madonna cover. :)

Winter! The Realm of Eternal Ice!Absolument Été and you hate summer? Was that intentionally ironic? (yes I know summer is not the only translation of été - étant également le participe passé du être)

My second favorite (after JEAM biensûr) is harder to say, but maybe even Ella Elle L'a. She was so gorgeous and the movements and the song were just so nice. I don't know. The second song that really caught me from Alizée that I saw and then a couple days later I was trying to find again was L'Alizé Top of the Pops. She was so beautiful that day, but what really got me I think was the music, that song. See, both L'Alizé and J'en Ai Marre are such great songs with such great music. It's really hard to beat that and with a really beautiful young angel of a woman singing it. I can't imagine anything in this world that can really compete with that when one is not struggling for survival anyway.

That was just about two years ago when my life changed perhaps forever. Alizée markes a HUGE landmark in my life.
