Would be totally awsome if I actually got the chance to see her perform live! Ok, so I wouldn't actually mind just kinda bumping into her on the street somewhere either, but you know what I mean. ;)

Just ordered the Les Enfoirés-DVD from Amazon.fr, I hope I got everything right. (My French is a "little" rusty, but some online translators were a big help. :))

Too bad my country - Norway - is so small, so there's like no chance of her "dropping by". :(

First, thanks Patyl for pointing that out. I saw your message at RCA I think it was and signed up. I can't believe I never thought of it before.
Hey, Sir Wood made a good point, but it looks like Los Angeles is winning; so, we should all request there to make a large number.
I don't know what it would take, but we should also send Alizée a message at her MySpace every time she appears somewhere or something and comment on it and ask her to come here to the US too. I originally put Sacramento and then San Francisco, because at least I could just drive there. That would be so nice it's crazy, but if any place in the US is going to win her over, from this "poll" it looks like LA. So, we'll all fly into crappy smoggy LA. Oh well.

Anyway, not to discourage anyone, but I have Dane Cook on my list for Sacramento and actually I don't know if he has come here, but he has like 1400 demands. I don't know, maybe they never wipe out the count even after years (which it has been) or even after the person shows up. Point is, we need a lot more work. Thousands of people showed up in Mexico City and any concert is a big deal. They will need to think they have at the very least and probably more demand than the capacity of whatever concert hall they choose, right? Not to say that such numbers are needed at eventful. It just shows relative interest, but still, we've a lot more work ahead to get her here. We do need to get her on the radio and get those dance remixes into clubs. Is it too late, though? She had great remixes on her first two albums and some good ones now, but there's so much from before and yet that's so long ago now. Does that matter? The Mexicans rallied around that J'en Ai Marre dancing Alizée and did so at least a year ago in large numbers. Now that she has returned with a new style, I think it's harder to revive that older style. I'm just asking. Am I wrong?

If not, what else can be done? My friend suggested I try to get National Pulic Radio to do a program on her. Ah, but it's already midnight here, never enough time. I or someone really should do that though. They do segments on all kinds of obscure musicians from around the world. Alizée shouldn't be a problem if it is presented right. Of course, getting a hold of her and a translator might be an issue. I think most or maybe all the people on there speak English. Then again, I think that is a national radio program and they do stories about stuff all over the world, as does a similar program Public Radio International (maybe that's even the one I'm thinking of).

Hey, even if it takes until her next album to get her over here, those who are US fans at that time will be ultra-glad we did, right? Alizée is no Madonna, but look at her. She's been around for decades. That radio program recently did a story about an Indian lady in her 70's that was popular when she was young and still has crowds of fans. Seriously! She recently did a concert and they were happy to see her. Though, it's funny, she finally decided to do some songs that she likes - traditional stuff -rather than her big hits, but at the end she relented and gave them some of that too.

For me it is very remarkable to see how many fans from America demanded at Eventful for Alizée´s concert.

We are more than any other place, and the best it's like fans going out of the closet, and this is really really cool. Too bad we are doing this too too slow.

By this time Alizée should be already thinking in coming to America too.

Posts similar to this thread I always sent to all places that I believe some people from Alizée's staff can see it and maybe why not, even Alizée personally.

So please guys and gals don't give up and continue demanding Alizée for concert in all places, LA is doing just great and Phoenix...well I guess they need to work on that cause Indiana is doing good job :rolleyes:.

Would be nice to have so many places to choose or to go just check the places of the demands and you can go to Vegas, and other places from Anchorage to Hawaii ( cool places all :p)

Public radio is very big in Minnesota and one of our public stations has played French music a few times in the past. I have requested Alizée and even sent them Psychédélices so they can't say they don't have it, but I haven't been successful up to this point. Maybe if some of you guys would e-mail in a request to hear Alizée - Fifty Sixty, it would help. Saturday nights are all requests. You can request a song on line here:

...Wow! That's a really cool advertisement description. I'm copying that.
"By this time Alizée should be already thinking in coming to America too." - that's what I'm saying! Watch the concert DVD from 2003, a guy even throws an American flag on stage! So, that tells me that some people were well aware of her back then, but for some reason it did not catch on enough and poor me only found out about her at the end of 2006. That's better than the end of 2007, but still, ridiculous if you ask me. Well, that still doesn't mean that she won't continue to catch on even more. Now that Mexico seems to be well enthralled, that's more publicity even though people like me have never paid much attention to anything going on in Mexico.

Edit: thanks lefty, I've heard about playing music, but I don't know where a channel is that plays music where I live. I only hear their talk shows. Anyway I'll look. Again, though, should we ask for FS or an English song? I mean, you're going to get a very different feel depending on what songs you listen to, but what are people going to like and hook onto? It seems like if people hear Alizée and then a song in french, they'll easily forget or have a hard time figuring out how to spell anything. I'm realizing how helpful it can be to have at least one good song in English - just something for people to reference. I remember how at the beginning of discovering her it took a while before I even figured out for sure how to pronounce her name. Hopefully though, the mystique of being French will actually attract a lot of people, but then YouTube was a better format for that kind of thing.

While her JEAM dance video may help her with the male population, the public radio station may just see her as a French Pop Tart. I’d rather draw their attention to the current Alizée, her look, sound and fashion.

The English songs represent the Alizée of the past and she’s either gonna make it or break it on her new material, mainly Psychédélices. I’m not sure promoting her old music is going to do it. I was sold on her French music well before I ever heard the English versions.

I’m hoping the public radio audience will be sophisticated enough to accept a song in French, and it might even be the thing that separates her from the pack, sort of a novelty at first. I know my local station has Fifty Sixty, but they may not have ready access to her old music if you request it. After all, Fifty Sixty is the next single that Alizée is releasing and it would keep us in sync with any current promotion going on elsewhere in the world. If people hear it and search Youtube, they will find the current Alizée.

I think those songs and some of the great dance remixes and stuff for night clubs would have worked great, but it's hard to promote now that she has returned with new different stuff. I don't know. Well, I tried. 1st of all it took a while to search and find Alizee in the LA area. The site is not very user friendly. But when I did find her, and I demanded her, they asked me to register, and as a consequence they defaulted to my home area. I got this message "Success! We sent a demand confirmation to XXXXX@XXXXX.com (change). You are the first to demand that Alizee come to your metro area."

This is a great idea, but how can we make it work so that people are not requesting for their home town.

boo, Quebec :rolleyes:. Toronto is closer, about 8 hours by car, and about 6 days 12 hours walking, but hey, "Use caution – This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths. " :p.

Heh, I wouldn't call it a "plan" just yet. I've successfully booked the time off, which was the first hurdle, and I put in crazy amounts of overtime last month to get the money saved, but there's still a few stars which need to align before I can say yes, I'm definitely going.
