What song be that, she's using a mic stand, so it should be one of the slower songs?

Well, she did wear that same outfit whilst singing (of the Moscow videos I have): Jamais Plus, Hey Amigo and L'effet.

According to Patyl's toned-down but vivid description, it was a kickass concert. Obviously the temper of the citizens of Mexico was not directed negatively, and Alizée got some nice response, which is a GREAT GREAT thing to hear. At least now I know she's built some confidence, she's got a taste of the Mexican fever, and I can only presume she's just gonna skyrocket.

Jeremy was taking some video of the opening and some shots when Alizée started the concert. Jeremy spent the complete concert there and he saw Jeremy dancing a little bit and talking with a guy that he assumes is Alizée's manager

It's also nice to see Jérémy's there, I mean, if I was married to Alizée I wouldn't stay home and watch TV and take care of the baby, i'd follow her, bring the child (when you can bring her anywhere you want, ah the golden ages:p), and tag along a magical woman who's about to have a nerve-wracking concert in her largest established fan country ever!

He said the people went crazy when the lights went off and the concert started, the Auditorio Nacional was crowded few seats empty, and he has been to a lot of good concerts there (Elton John, Coldplay, Eagles, Killers, etc) so good attendance.

Elton John and Eagles I can understand, Coldplay and Killers, not so much. I'd like to see him attend a Dream Theater or a Pink Floyd concert, will leave him deaf, blind, and dumbfounded.

She invite a guy to sit down with her while she was singing L'effet (lucky guy) the guy was fascinated and he got a kiss from Alizée at the end of the song and ALL THE CROWD WAS VERY JEALOUS !

Calm down Jérémy, it's just etiquette. :p
Or is it just Old Alizée bringing her old tease back to the stand!

A contre courant
Oh now this just touches my heart, it was and always is my favorite song, oh the incentive, the drive, I should've acted on these concerts and get off of my ass and buy those tickets.

Hah, i'm just throwing presumptions here and there, as I was not actually there, but this gives me incentive to see if I can catch the next concerts. Heck, I can't realize my dream of being one of Alizée's instrumentalists if I don't get out and do something about it eh?

Anyways, i'm glad to hear everyone who went, went. I sure as hell would be pretty odd being a 'gringo' cheering along with preferably the most hot-tempered and passionate nationality in my mind! In fact, i'd be quite shaking down to my shins, ah but who cares, I probably won't think all those Mexicans would be noticing a European lad in the crowd, seeing as how they have something more beautiful to look at.

(*points at Alizée*)

:DGuess we're United in Fandom!:D
I can only wait for the concert-goers to come and tell me what really went down!

Okay one more time...:D

Hi everybody,

Tomorrow I'm going to the concert but my brother went today (and going tomorrow ) , My brother is so greedy because he first prefered to go for some "tacos" for dinner instead of coming home after concert

He was close to the console so he saw Jeremy Chatelein there

Jeremy was taking some video of the opening and some shots when Alizée started the concert. Jeremy spent the complete concert there and he saw Jeremy dancing a little bit and talking with a guy that he assumes is Alizée's manager

He said the people went crazy when the lights went off and the concert started, the Auditorio Nacional was crowded few seats empty, and he has been to a lot of good concerts there (Elton John, Coldplay, Eagles, Killers, etc) so good attendance.

He has a crush for Alizée  he says she's very very pretty and lovely.

Didn't remember all the songs (wonder why ) probably he was hynoptized but I'm sure in other forums they will give us a better information

Songs:
Lily Town
Mademoiselle Juliette
Mon taxi driver
Fifty Sixty
Jamais Plus
J'En Ai Marre (the new version)
The sound of Silence
La isla bonita
Par le paupiers
Idealiser
L'effet
A contre courant
Hey Amigo
Decollage (my favorite)
Psychedelices (the last song)

People started to request her again cheering "Ali-zée" (clapping) "Ali-zée" (clapping) something similar to what we do here in Mexico when we go to soccer games or concerts but we say Me-xi-co! (clapping) Me-xi-co! (clapping) and she came back and sang J'en ai Marre again (new version)

The outstanding things:

* She spoke in Spanish (vey cute with some Mexican slangs LOL )
* The sound was very loud but you could here some fans singing in French
* She invite a guy to sit down with her while she was singing L'effet (lucky guy) the guy was fascinated and he got a kiss from Alizée at the end of the song and ALL THE CROWD WAS VERY JEALOUS !
* Before start of the Sound of Silence she request the audience to turn on the mobiles and he said it looked magical
* No dancers, was only Alizée on stage very professional he says (not everybody do this by themselves in these days) and he said she sang all the way long and she just take some short breaks for two changes of clothes (well dresses) ;)
* Same scenario than Moscow but looked much better he said.

Sorry I have no more information ... his talking with his girlfriend now :D

Pics quality are not very good in his mobile so I think later other fans will download them here or in other forums.

Good night all... and Bon Jour

Thanks again patyl! ;)

The person that was asked to the stage must be on top of the world. A very lucky bastard!

Think if I had a million dollars (err Euros, better yet Pounds) that I can pull that off? LOL :p

I think it could be almost comedic...
All the people in the crowd, swaying along being happy to a beautiful song, then she gives her lucky concertgoer a kiss, and the crowd just frowns for a second, then claps.

The one where she's laying on the bed, GULP, is Jen ai marre. Who needs dancing? This did the job! Also, the lucky dude who got that famous kiss on stage totally earned it. He sat up there with a bashful smile at first, then started crying a few moments later. It was a special moment when he wept, because it kind of hit me too. I think he got caught up in the moment, who wouldn't? That dude took one for the team, All of the Mexican fans.

This was my first sight of Alizee. Now, I can say SHE'S REAL!!!

Well, as long as she did A contre-courant, remix or not, i'm happy. God I should've been there, I haven't seen a recent performance of it, hopefully one of you concert-goers took a video (I don't care how cheap!), I must see my favorite song in action.

Cheap pics or not, they're still pics!
I'm glad that you all had a dandy time, so what did you all sit together or was it separated, cause it would've been kind cool to "represent" the site, sorta, like bunched together in the manner, ah my pathetic attempt at excitement. :D

You know I haven't cried since I was 9, but just thinking about it, I can probably drown in tears right now. His life is complete, I just know it, somehow it hit me too, ah lovely sorcery, or a paining aura of entangling magic of the beautiful and bedazzling sort.

J'en ai Marre lying down, I can actually picture that.

I need to go see modern Alizée one of these days, I haven't been to one of her concerts since, '03

IF any of you ever have that lovely chance of happening upon her and perhaps, a chat, mention me and my multi-instrumentalism, please. :p

This is great news that Alizée's concert was a success without dance choreography, backup dancers, backup singers or the old song arrangements! What a boost to her confidence this must be, and validation of the way she has chosen to perform her music.

The song selection for this concert was really good, and as time goes by she'll have more songs in her repertoire to draw upon. So, I would say her future as a singer is very bright at this moment.

Video from lucky bastard.

* The sound was very loud but you could here some fans singing in French
Of course me! MJE(Alizee Forum) was singing as well, he was beside me.

* She invite a guy to sit down with her while she was singing L'effet (lucky guy) the guy was fascinated and he got a kiss from Alizée at the end of the song and ALL THE CROWD WAS VERY JEALOUS !
We weremt jealous, we were angry because he wasnt doing anything... If your with lili you ought to hug her or kiss her... but no he was just there siting down... luckily lili gave him a kiss and a hug at the end.

* Before start of the Sound of Silence she request the audience to turn on the mobiles and he said it looked magical
I loved that part, the place just looked awesome. btw she said "De pelos"... we all laughed.

* No dancers, was only Alizée on stage very professional he says (not everybody do this by themselves in these days) and he said she sang all the way long and she just take some short breaks for two changes of clothes (well dresses) ;)
Yep, no dancers thank god.. i really think lili's staff read the forums weeks before the concert.
About the clothes, they were the same from Moscou. The only difference from this one is that she was using black boxers. Yep i think we all saw them.

* Same scenario than Moscow but looked much better he said.
Well it was must the ambience rather than the scenario. There were huge balloons floating around the crowd. We were all jumping, dancing, singing, filming, taking pictures etc.

Well it wasnt a complete success for the press... nor the people that went to the concert.
They wanted to see lili with her black JEAM dress and doing the JEAM dance as well... They say lili got angry because her backup singers never made it to the concert. Other than that they say the concert was ok.

1. No cameras? How well did they screen for this?
No cameras, No mp3 recorders, no nothing. Security is very high there... You can take the risk... but if they find out you have anything to record, they will ask you to leave and take out your camera or anything and won't give it back, well depends on how serious the infraction was. So don't spect higher quality videos or pictures... Unless RMJ or Snatcher, even Roman took pictures from Lili since they were really close to her.

2. No early CD sales? Any official concert merchandise available?
Nop, i went throught all the place looking for the Mexican Pshy cd+dvd and no nothing. There were few dvd's, was about to buy few of them and them looking at them closer i found out they were copies.

They were selling the Phsy album inside the Auditorio Nacional, but only that.

Not to mention the entire concert audience. If I'm going to make a pass at someone I'd rather do it in private. ;)

Looks like this was a great concert, all in all. I'm glad to see that Alizée took the advice she was given, lost the high heels, and concentrated on emotion and audience interaction. This was the old Alizée back full-force, better than ever.

Well it wasnt a complete success for the press... nor the people that went to the concert.
They wanted to see lili with her black JEAM dress and doing the JEAM dance as well...
Don't know what to think about that.:(
Sad or naive...

They say lili got angry because her backup singers never made it to the concert. Other than that they say the concert was ok.
Can't believe that  Is that actually true?

But I think too, that it was not part of the plan to have them.

It's great that Alizée is incorporating some theatrics into her concert performance. Imagine what she could do with an extended version of Fifty Sixty in a skit emulating Edie or Nico at The Factory. She could end it by pushing Andy away.

I agree. Her Grace is a talented actress. You can see it in the early scenes of the Moi . . . Lolita video, and also in the Mademoiselle Juliette video although not as clearly. I like the rumor of her appearing on the Mexican TV show and hope that's true, even if it's just for a cameo appearance.

I'm also glad to see that the concert is being filmed. We can all look forward to a new concert DVD eventually, after the tour is finished and they have time to select the best footage.

And -- I believe it's now possible to say that Alizée has done well enough with her return, both in concert attendance and in CD sales, that her career will continue. So we may look forward to more new music -- and who knows, perhaps a movie career in due course? -- in years to come. :)

according to wiki

the National Auditorium of México holds almost 20,000

if Alizee sold it out or nearly did so - bravo

very well done and yes it seems that her career is on the up swing

does anybody know how the single 50/60 did?

i can imagine it doing well - it seems to be a popular type song

Well from one of the pics on the first page, I think there was a standing section. For a second I thought that lucky guy was wearing an FC Barcelona Jersey, how did they pick him anyway, did she personally choose from the random crowd, or just a specific section, or was the location pre-chosen before the concert.

She was right on everything tonight. Her performance was maybe even better. But they did go quicker with very little time between songs. The concert went too fast, but it doesn't matter even though I was way over to the side and in row V.
Viva la Lili!
Man, if you were there you'd be wishing you were Mexican. She played up to the crowd so much and the lucky devil who got on stage once again, but this time Zeus. He tied an Alizee-Mexico bracelet on her arm while she was singing L'Effet. She's never done all this for any crowd or any fans before. She's really working it. Chiquita my baby!
so was there a standing area where they removed the seats or what? No, there were chairs all the way up, but the second row was short; so, many people in the first and second rows could get right up to the stage for reaching up to Alizée when she was reaching down. There were security lined up there. In fact, one security guard had to crawl up backward onto the stage to block the crowd who was getting a little too frisky with Alizée (or so she, the guard, thought).

9. Lonely List (Briefly sung from the foot of the bed. There's a sweet pic of her pose posted in the front page of Excelsior newspaper, which we all bought!!!)
10. JPVA (Lili gets funky with her dance with this number IMO. A personal fav for me.
11. Sound Of Silence (Lili asked everyone to hold up their cell phones so she could see all the lit phones. In a darken auditorium, the place was lit up all right! The cellies have offically replaced the lighter. Lili responds with a big "Wow!". Tonight, she also said "Very Beautiful" prior to singing this song)
12. L' effet (sung from edge of stage centered in front of 1st row LBs, Zeus' turn for affection)

Quick Intermission To Change Outfits

13. La Isla Bonita
14. Hey Amigo
15. Décollage
16. Psychédélices

Lili runs off stage...Quick Intermission for the Clown (for lack of better description) to say how difficult it is to say goodbye for this magical night. It was in Spanish, so I had it translated to me.

17. JEAM (Sung once again, I ran up to the front stage to see Lili closer. She was about 20' from me! I couldn't reach her hand when she touched the crowd of hands. It was better than any projected screen, hi-def vid, or pic being this close to her.)

Have you seen this article ?

http://unbrinalize.free.fr/galerie/displayimage.php?album=110&pos=10

The title reflect what we have already discuss here so many time...
Mexicans fans, as we all know, have still in mind the sexier side of Alizée
( for having discovered her by Youtube). So, this reporter note :

"Mas dulce que sensual" (More sweet than sensual)

a disillusion ?

(he also called the show " childish")

Bah! Whatever the critics said, the crowd obviously loved it.

Bigdan, would you or one of our Spanish speakers mind having a go at translating that article? Unfortunately, my Spanish is minimal and I would not be able to.

Alizée does not, in my opinion, need to have a virtual orgy with the audience. It's enough for her to share her love, her spirit, and herself. Personally, I always felt the hyper-sexed stuff she sometimes did in the past struck a wrong note. By that I don't mean "wrong" in a moral sense, just not true to who she was.

You're right. That's was not a critic of her " new" behavior. Just a report on the gap she still have to fill, between the way she is seen and the way she want to appears.

(But, it was also the expression of my bafflement, on this unique journey in show buziness ; from hyper-sexed stuff to childishness .... )

Interesting. I don't know if you meant that the article called her performance "childish" or that you, yourself, find a childishness about it, but this does raise the question: Is there a childishness about Alizée's performance and material?

What exactly do we mean by that word, "childish"? Or, perhaps a better word would be "child-like," since "childish" is always an insult. Is there a child-like quality to the new Alizée?

"Child-like" could mean several different things. It could mean "immature," in the sense of irresponsible, selfish, undisciplined. But that's obviously not true and I doubt it's what the critics meant.

It could also mean an unsophisticated, simple and open pleasure taken in joys that an adult might sometimes be too jaded to enjoy. In that sense, it might be true, but I'll come back to this; it also might not be.

Finally, it could mean an openness about feelings, a trusting quality, that is common in children but not so common in adults, who build protective barriers around themselves and allow people inside those barriers only once they pass careful tests. And some people never lower the walls for anyone, and develop sophisticated masks and acting routines so that they can interact socially without risking real emotional contact.

And I would say that this last is certainly true. In that sense, Alizée's performance, and to a degree Alizée herself, is child-like. She has learned over the years to be more careful, and to maintain the protective walls better than in the past, but still, what you see is what you get, and the real her. Which is a lot of her charm. But it's a child-like charm, that's true.

And I think it's also somewhat true that she puts on a show that's less sophisticated than an older person might construct, but this is probably a result of the fact that she is still very young. It will change over time. I hope the openness never does, though.

There is some question of how commercially successful she can be with this, but so far she seems to be doing all right.

Bigdan

I'didn't know that childish was insulting. So I mean child-like.
Not in her interview, not in the way she lead her career.
But, literally, in this new tour. The Spanish article was refering to acrobats , Arlequins, and clowns.... ( that's was not a Russian addition, as I thought at first...).

Remembered the " en concert" set ? A giant high heel.
A message from... her? Mylène? Anyway, the meaning was clear. "I'm not twenty, I 'm still a teen, BUT I want to grown up, become a true women".

(Again, it's was maybe a Mylène idea.)

And now she is a mother, the background "artists" ( and the 50/60 video, I think) send another message :" I want to stay in a child universe, i dont' want to play the grown-up sexy girl no more..."

That's my feeling.

Anyway, when you see the first picture from Mexico concert, I must acknowledge that she's totally sexy... by her will or not ! ;)

Not going into too much detail here, I think she's still great! She's still around, she's trying to please her fans, and all those hooligan critics that need some adjustment periods should just accept that she's back as she wants to be.

I think from what i've seen in this thread, she's done a great job, she's melted some hearts (some more than others!), and she's made a lot of collective fans happy, and still more to come! :D

Alizee is childish but only relative to more serious acts (whatever that means)

people sometimes laugh or scoff at me for liking Alizee - but often those same people like Avril Levine secretly and listen to pop music but just not in front of their friends ;)

it's not classical music but how boring would it be to just listen to classical music or more socially honored music genres all the time?

I think people are fooling themselves if they think they're too high-end to listen to pop music - it's fun and joyful. You only have one life might as well enjoy it :D

Okay I do not like country for the reasons we all know, the singer always has to sound like some fart who just snorted cocaine, and there's always an annoying slide guitar that just kills everything. I normally don't like hip-hop, unless they use a sample of a song I like from another person, and the lyrics aren't sexually explicit and more message containing.

The Blues however I must disagree on you, the blues had the most profound effect on rock and roll, and you can hear its influence, specially in Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Who, Stones, Foghat, SRV, ZZ Top, Skynyrd, etc.

I totally dig foreign music, which is why I dig Alizée, aside from that there's always some Finntroll, Il Divo, Basshunter, etc. :p Of course you can pretty much sum up my constantly played music as Alizée and Dream Theater

I don't know if you meant that the article called her performance "childish" or that you, yourself, find a childishness about it, but this does raise the question: Is there a childishness about Alizée's performance and material?

Press did call her performances childish... They been attacking her.
Sure there is childishness in the performance... isnt it clear? Clowns and such?

I think that's more of a whimsical and playful feel, sort of a dark theatric, similar to something...I just can't put my head on it.

Everyone carriers their inner child with them for their whole lives, and I believe Alizée is able to connect with that in people which may account for the wide range in age of her fanbase. She also validates people by being genuinely appreciative of her fans. I don't think you can fake this stuff. Alizée seems to be well aware of how the entertainment business can jade a celebrity if you listen to the lyrics of 50/60, and she seems to be intent on not letting that happen to her.

Its not so much a "childishness" that I'm seeing conveyed as it is a child-like innocence that, to me, says "Let go of your adult worries, if only for tonight." As charismatic as she's being in these concerts, it works marvelously.

I totally agree with this viewpoint.

Thank you to all who were able to bring parts of the concert and reports to us less fortunate ones stuck either at work, at home, but in any event, unable to attend in person.

Also, why does every artist have to meet the expectations of a critic?!
Who are they, that they should tell us what to like and if it should be more adult-like in nature or have more of an adult theme?

I was brought up to learn jazz, classical, big band swing, and other styles on guitar, have been a NYC session guitarist for 18 years and have played all types of music in many different band settings. Now, all I have listened too since 2002 is Alizée, and some other French pop artists, and I love it!

I still have to learn songs for professional reasons, but when I listen for myself, I listen to Alizée, AND I tell anyone who asks what I am listening too without embarrassment at all.

Totally agree with this viewpoint of a viewpoint.

Whenever anyone asks me what i'm listening to, I never hesitate to tell them, because I like explaining things. When they ask who Alizée is, i'm more worried about HIS soul than my embarrassment, I tell him, and the next day his soul is lost, comes to me to discuss about her, and we just swing it off. I, knowing more, become an information source.

I've absolutely opened up my head since listening to Alizée, considering i've shunned anything outside of heavy metal and classic rock before, upon discovering this lady I changed dramatically. I guess that was my dark age, I did nothing, wanted nothing, just blasted Iron Maiden every time nearly all the time. Upon Alizée's entering into my black soul, she unlocked my mind, my emotion, and I started to be a slight more happier, I looked upon everything with new insight, and started branching out my interests.

Now i'm happy with what I am, working as my own independent musician looking for a band, branching from every instrument that the industry can use, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, mixing, piano, even some other stuff like sitar and erhu. :D

As for the critic part, screw them.
They're only one voice, one point of view, one person, what Alizée needs to worry about are the FANS, the ones who love her, the ones who adore her, the ones that need impressing, the MASS VOICE, not the worthless comment of a critic that thinks he/she is larger than life enough to change an artist with a couple of harming words.

Guess what guys!!!! In the concert of the 18 y won a backstage pass with alizee!!!!! can u believe how lucky i am!!!!! i mean i MET HER!!!!ACTUALLY MET HER!!!!!! and she actually like 1 or 2 cms shorter than i am (i'm 1.56 cms) and huged her for the photo we took!!!! .
I guess the mexican sayings : "de lo bueno poco" and "chiquita pero picosa!"-->"of good stuff there's little" and "little but spicy!"
what i didnt like was that we had like less than 5 mins with her!!! i mean we entered the room where she was going to meet us, when some girl comes in and tells us: ok so this are the rules for meeting alizee: cell phones off, u cant take personal photos with her, she wont sign anything for u , u cant kiss her in the cheek because of her make up .
So i was like!!! sooo what CAN we do u know? so she entered the room and hoping for her to have some sympathy for me i told her: hey!!! u know today's my birthday? and she said: oooo really? well happy birthday and the turned away to the camera.I guees i should've been more explicit and say : hey can i take a picture with u alone since its my birthday ? . but hey at least i got to see her right?
I have to say that she improved SOOOOO much from moscu!!! i was sooo happy and NOT disappointed AT ALL!!!!!
Gotta say it was one of my best birthdays ever ( even though my actual birthday was the 17, a little lie to get a pic with alizee is worth it dont u think?jaja)
I was wondering if the ones who went to the concerts noticed how in the k'ai pas vingt ans she did the same thing she did las tour: tp run arround the stage asking the public to sing ( though in this case it was only la la la la la, i guess she knew not many would actually know the song jaja)
Im glad she listened to the critics of her showcase in moscu and instead of wearing very high heels she wore tennis all the time.i think that was very important in helping her to make a better concert because now she actually moved arround the stage and tried to dance a little bit and made some moves.u guys notices how in j'en ai marre when she was un the bed she was kinda moving her hands like in the video? i guess she still had a little bit of that dancing in her jaja.
Also i noticed she turned the volume down on her musicians a little bit wich was good because now she was actually listened!!! . and did u noticed how (mm ronca) sored her throat was?)she was in the 18? i wouldnt be surprised if she posponed her other concerts.

Well i jusy wanted to share my joy with u guys though i think a made my post a little bit too long but i tried to make it explicit so u guys can imagine how it was .

P.S. she's coming back to mexico in september,i know because a friend of a friend is in charge of her for her whole tour in mexico, he sleeps in the same hotel she is and is with her ALL day ..... jealous u guys? jaja
also let me inform u that she's appearing on a mexican soap opera called "Las tontas no van al cielo"

Easy.
We're gonna trick out Jung's Toyota LR into a Lily'd out Jeep. Sync System Mp3, Refridgerator, custom paint job, high heel doorhandles, etc.

Steps:

1.) Meet her on the street, probably coming in or out of concert, or perhaps in a natural environment, this is the hardest step.

2.) Jung comes in, greets Alizée, pretends to be drunk, and wearily say how much of a fan he is, of course in slurred speech.

3.) I come in, tell Alizée about my friend Jung, and apologize for his non-sobriety and alcoholism. Explain to her how we're fans.

4.) I drop one of my many drawings/paintings of Alizée on "accident", pretend not to notice. Jung picks it up, and says, "this is a nice drawing of her." Said in slurred speech, of course. :)

5.) We'll improvise from there, we'll see where we can fit you in. :p

6.) This Odd plan trademarked by Jung n' Barrett.

Here is my videos from the fist night. They are taken with cellphone so the video quality is so so (at least you can see her dancing and even what she's wearing...).

The sound quality is CRAP. Don't bother turning your volume on for these videos...

The zip has 9 files, including 3 full songs (LIB, Decollage, and JPVA if I remember right), and some extracts.

Sorry bout missing accents but stupid US layout doesn't have them... and I don't remember the alt codes... I miss my laptop which is dead in my backpack. :weep:

I'm uploading also the photos taken with the cellphone. But well, their quality isn't too good so don't get overly excited.

Oh, and in case someone wonders all those lines going on the video.. Well, my celly has broken sensor so it casuse those errors. I never bothered to get it fixed as I never thought I'd actually have to use cellphone to get photos...

For what i saw in videos, pics and testimonies i think the concerts are doing GREAT. :) Im glad she´s reading the "observations" all fans did, which shows her true commitment to her performance.

Now, about the press...they really dont understand anything about Alizee...the bad ones i mean.

In Mexico we have TONS of non singing sexy-ass showing-dolls, which we dont really want all the time, sure, we like to see them, but not really listen to them. Alizee is different, shes does not need a very sexual dance to atract the masses, why? because she gives us something most mexicans singing wanna bees dont have...CLASS and TRUTH...sides awesome lyrics. :)

My point is, if "some" fans didnt like the performance cause she didnt move that sexy those fans are a minority and imo can go to hell...Alizee did outstanding this past few days, dont let the media make you think otherwise.

Keep up the good work Lily...btw , nice sneakers :)

I think one reason that it went over so well to begin with was because it was so obvious that she was not that person, there was an innocence about it all. Everybody knew on some level that the dance was simply a part of the act.

And I have to give her credit for being stable enough to keep her balance.

Its not so much a "childishness" that I'm seeing conveyed as it is a child-like innocence that, to me, says "Let go of your adult worries, if only for tonight." As charismatic as she's being in these concerts, it works marvelously.

Playful & fun.

The audience is coming to see a French performer. Without knowing (maybe someone can comment) I would guess that they already think of her as sophisticated. Therefore, her playfulness is probably very refreshing.

Well then, do what you can to spread the word of a brilliant musician and lady! It's easy to get someone hooked on Alizée, but they have to have the will to go and watch one of her videos.

She'll come if there are enough people in that country that adore her, get America to be a bit like Mexico and you've got a set deal. Of course you gotta stop the American big boys from hounding her out and turning her into a corrupted musician, like several...

Now go buy an Alizée shirt and spread the word! I'd certainly travel to the States just to catch Alizée.

From the recent interview:

C: By the way...what do you know about Mexico?
A: I know that it is a country that treats me very well...where the people is very warm...charm, gentile and cute...like the fans or the people I met when I go to eat at a restaurant for example...and it's truth that when the people is this way...it makes you have the desire to come back again...and that's the reason why I am here again.

Sorry if this has already been posted (no time to check everything), but here's some nice media from the 17th.

Three audios from alizee-mexico posted on AF. Pretty good quality, they really give a sense of what the concert sounded like. I love the intros!
ML: http://www.mediafire.com/?uyvgp9znmy4
MJ: http://www.mediafire.com/?yzwtxuzchbf
Sound of silence: http://www.mediafire.com/?5t21jojbsxj

Two decent-quality videos that should quell any criticism that her shows lack theatricality:

Those are lovely, and who says her shows lack theatrics, seems like something from Cirque du Soleil, and it's wondrous. :D

I don't know what else Alizée can do. She has given us a good album, some very good performances, especially the more recent ones. And now these incredible concerts. She seems she has reached the top of her game at the right time. I hope anyone who had doubts is now a believer. Alizée rocks ! ! ! :D

She can do a lot more, because she's wonderful like that. She's absolutely brilliant right now!

I've still yet to see my dream come true when Lily steps behind a mixer, does some Daft Punk stuff, or works up a bass guitar and...I know, keep dreaming eh? :p

How does it just get better? I was in like the 5th row this time, but it almost seemed like I was closer than the third night. She was right there. When she walked by, she'd look right at me or who ever else and she definitely was right there for us, and her singing was really great tonight, best yet. This was definitely the best rendition of Sound of Silence as well, she really got the notes right. On the last song, I was able to run up and touch her hand. That was really fun.

The crowd was the most lax yet, of course. People in the front row were just sitting there. But, that means they weren't in my way. That and the fact that the stage was lower made her seem closer I think. I wish all of us fans including all you guys could have been right up in the best seats. That would have made it the best concert. This was the first concert of anyone that Sir Wood ever went to. How's that for a first time?

This would and will make a great DVD. Good job Lili!

Guadalajara rocked! I got to see her real close this time. 5th row = EE row seat 14!!! Woo-hoo, that's a big jump for me! I almost got to shake her hand when I headed towards the stage. I walked right up to the stage although not without security telling me to go back to my seat. I was right there next in line to shake her hand, but I think she became cautious when the security guards pushed everybody back. There was lots of security this time. I think they felt I wasn't a threat and let me stay next to the stage. I thanked them afterwards for letting me stay there. But still, no Lili handshake. :( Oh well, any closer to her and I'd be in the band. I was within arms reach!!! I was next.

Lili sung beautifully as usual. The show at Mexico City the first night was the most energized. The 2nd night 18th was no less a great night, but most of the diehard fans seems to have occupied all the front row seats for the 17th show. But, Guadalahara was the most intimate. Lili definitely has loosened up in all of her performances. She's got plenty of experience now, so I can only hope the Puebla and Monterrey shows will be even better. I've gotten greedy to seeing her in every Mexican newpaper and on several Mexcian TV shows (incl MTV). She's everyday news here!

...And soon it will be all over. :( I'll go back to Phoenix and not be able to find one shred of proof that she exists. I've got only my cell phone pics, online vids, and wonderful memories. *sigh* But, I'll try my best again to meet up with our angel.

One last thing, everybody should make it their quest to go see an Alizee concert. She puts on a great show. See you in Puebla ALIZEE!!!!!:D

Alizée shares its fantastic world.
Moved away of its seductive aspect, the French singer conquered to more than seven thousand spectators.
By: OC/Pablo Garabito

With a short concert, the concert of the French singer Alizée will remain in the memory of thousands of "tapatíos" that cheered their songs and some others by telling her some "piropos".
Early hours, her followers formed patiently at the place. Shortly before the 19:30 hours more movement began to see itself at the venue and among the multitude you could listened the reasons for which “tiny sexy Alizée” of France is its favorite artist.

At 21:00 hours when "the third call" inside the Auditorio Telmex occurred, between the audience appeared a presenter dress up as a Fancy Clown who gave the welcome: “I am your friend tonight, and we will guide by the hand and with the heart throughout this trip in the world of poetry and for that reason I need all you; let yourself listen to the melody that is going to come”, while giant balloons of diverse colors where at the stage. It was then when lights went out and left Alizée at scene.
Away her seductive image with her new album "Psychedelices".
However, the euphoria was made and with "whistles" from masculine sector alerted, and public standing up, applause and screamed.
Although for many of them, the lacked of the woman who conquered with her hip movements Europe, Asia and Mexico, was not there, for others Alizée catched them with her music and with her way to walk, to move, to smile and to watch to her public.
It was less than hour and a half which lasted the presentation, a brief musical route where the subjects predominated their recent disc like “Lillytown”, opening song and that indeed framed the visual concept of the tour: an enchanted forest surrounded by arlequines and gothic trees… the presenter was right, the magic had begun. “Mademoiselle Juliette”, “Jamais Plus”, “Fifty Sixty” and the remarkable “Lolita”, where it was mixed with the song “Music”, of Madonna, were some of the songs while Alizée played in the stage from one side to another . “Gourmandises”, “Fifty-sixty” and its version of the Madonna´s, “La Isla Bonita” were applauded, the climax arrived when “Psychédélices” and "J´en ai marre”.

With a rock band of four musicians dressed up black and a DJ, the singer of 23 years shared her room: a bed, an armchair, a chair and a writing-desk, on the stage, besides a screen in the back as part of the show where appeared multiple figures of colors. Each element in the scene served so that the singer captivated more her followers.

Thanks for posting with translation Patyl. I've got that newspaper, as well as, every newspaper that carried a picture of Alizee. Our entire group has gone through every paper! It's funny in a way, since a bunch of us gringos show up to these newstands and clear the racks! :p The look of the face on these people selling the papers seem perplexed when we all need the very same edition. Then, we gut the good Alizee content and leave the rest of the carcass junk paper not far from the retailer. We're sooo bad. :D

Mexicans aren't cheap. They always have Alizee in color in the papers! We're not really bad gringos with the gutting. But there's a lot of murder/death media, and the weight of our suitcases are taking a toll without purging.

Also, suitcases fill up fast because, there was a ton of local vendors at the DF shows selling their unofficial versions of T-shirts, jackets, hats, key chains, DVD/CDs, towels, coffee mugs, ball point pens, etc. I can't remember the rest. Some pretty good deals.

As for the folks requesting more pics/videos...we struck gold last night since security, although in large numbers, didn't once pat down or curb check anyone with real cameras. I remember Zack mentioning something to the tune of we could take cameras to the Guadalajara show, but I thought he was, how can I say, not accurate. Big oops, sorry Zack. I should have listened to you. I got my hands on the stage to brace myself for a cell pic while Lili sung JEAM, but the stage lights are so powerful they easily wash out your subject. BUT!!! RMJ, brought his camera, and he's got some great vids/pics. I'll try to get the link. :D

Here ya go.

Yes, it's a sad day for us. Amigo, Snatcher 42, and Sir Wood have departed the tour today, because they must get back to their daily lives, work = uugh!

Myself, RMJ, Roman, Aldo, ggin, AC Mix are left. Wait a minute! Where's Lowbeam? Well, we'll hook up along with Josh too. I may have left someone out, but we've all been operating on 4hrs average sleep every night.

Now, I must shower, eat, and sleep so I can witness Lilly Town Puebla style.

For Amigo, you are a great roommate. We're in our new hotel (Holiday Inn) in Puebla...short walk from the concert. Also, since you timetraveled back in time to CA, you have extra time in your day to do ALL the news reporting. :p JK...I'm lazy and tired. Keep in touch my friend.

Mtyfan is going with me (he has been so helpful, the Mexican fans are great) and I think rehochipe is joining the party if there's any way. Rehochipe, we're VIPs buddy, you got to go now - 3 rows from Alizée!

Alizée's concert in Puebla
French singer performed her most known songs at Complejo Cultural Siglo XXI (Cultural Complex 21st century )

Source:Notimex
El Universal
Puebla Sunday, 22 de junio de 2008
14:56 With a spectacle of multicoloured lights and arlequins, was initiated the concert of French singer Alizée, at "Complejo Cultural Siglo XXI" of this city. After the announcement, " third call and starting" , the audience at the place began to scream her name " Alizée, Alizée, Alizée! " , and seconds later she appeared on the stage with an arlequin dress up with violet suit and green hat, inviting fans to a trip.

" I invite you to a trip throughout the country of the poetry, and for that reason do not awake. Allowed to get into the melodies that will make you feel happiness" , he said.

Then, one of the reflectors illuminated the young singer, who appeared on the scene with a white dress and tennis shoes to make her movement on the stage easier, and performing her first melody Lily town.

During her performance, she was followed by two arlequines, one of them, interacting with the assistants at the concert, throwing five enormous red, yellow, violet and white balloons.

" It is a pleasure to be with you and thank you all to be here with us" that were her first words in Spanish of French artist , and in answer her admirers shouted: "!Alizée!".

The artist, who promotes her third album " Psychédélices" , that was released last year, is now touring some places of The Mexican Republic, she asked the assistants to turn on their cellulars phones and to illuminate the night and to sing her songs with her.

23 years old Alizée who also became mother in 2005, moved on to the stage from one side to another, while the audience shouted and scream with each of her movements and applauded songs like Gourmandises and Fifty-sixty.

During the concert that approximately lasted an hour and a half, the arlequin took part in several occasions as interlocutor and guide the Psychedelic World trip to the audience, by saying to the attendants not to let the happiness of the night and to dream about an island.

Thus was the step for Alizee to perform La Isla Bonita, song that also performs Queen of Pop , Madonna, among other songs of her discography records.

After three changes of clothes, the singer said goodbye with song Psychédélices, but the emotion of its audience was still on requesting her and did not stop until she returned to the scene to end up the spectacle with her "J´ai marre" song.

First off it was a pleasure to see again Roman and Amigo!, and also, to finally meet rcs, Snatcher42, RMJ, ggin and Aldos114 (as well as the many Mexican fans we ran into, and hung out with afterwards, they are truly fortunate with Alizée’s popularity there). We need to do this again! (Europe anyone?)

Being that this was my very first concert ever. The Guadalajara concert was amazing (and all relevant synonyms in your thesaurus)! Auditorio Telmex is very impressive with plush seats although one did not sit much (LOL). Security didn’t pat us down, but were checking for cameras. Sorry no pics from me. As I mentioned before 1.3mp camera sucks and my new camera is DSLR like in shape so no way of taking it in even if I had it with me. I’ll need to find me a 007 camera for future ventures.

Forget what you may have read or heard from the naysayers. She sang marvelously and performed with energetic vigor that always kept the crowd engaged. The concert setting seems to be of Alizée in her bed room, where she is telling us her story and letting us into her Psychédélices world as they unfold before us in smoke and bubbles. She even took the time on stage to take pictures of the audience! BTW, Jérémy was also in attendance and standing off to the left (my left) of the stage throughout the show.

Did I mention that the concert was amazingly awesome? It rocked and kicked some serious arse! Held in a trance, the 80-minutes came and went leaving me longing for more. There is so much to take in that one concert is simply not enough! It’s Alizée up on stage, live and in person and not some video that I’m viewing on the computer or living vicariously through another person’s post. It’s hard to describe the whole atmosphere and ambience of the concert, of the sound waves coursing through one’s body from the music and the cheering (and dancing) crowds, of one actually jumping up and down with arms pumping or waving back and forth with Alizée as she sang her songs, and of her beauty and persona radiating out leaving us all in awe. There is something magical about the whole event that one must be there to realize it’s scope.

My only regret is that I was only able to attend that one concert and wished that I would have been able to see more.

BTW, Amigo! and I were 7 rows back from the stage and 4 away from the aisle on our section. Prior to the start of the concert, I was told that towards the end we need to make our way forward before the encore J’en Ai Marre. We did such, as well as some others who apparently knew what was going to happen next, and I almost had the opportunity to touch her! Unfortunately, the security guy’s backup arrived and managed to push us all back. :(

This shot of Alizée, by RMJ, sums up the whole experience… (http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd48/wublili/photos/20080620-guadelajara/DSCF8932.jpg)

And as I tried to sleep, later that Friday night, these words took on new meanings:
“Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence”

Hey SirWood:

It seems like you are so energized and motivated after your trip to Mexico at Alizée's concert...like recharged batteries my friend :p

Here in Mexico, we are so so happy with Alizée's visit, awesome how important she has become here with showbiz and media. (A daily note about her is always on the news)

And you're right...nothing compares to be live at Alizée's concert. You just got to be there.

My experience was something personal...Auditorio on the 18th was awesome and magical, I was so close to the stage (3rd line on the left side :D) and I am pretty sure that Alizée saw us: my cousins, my brother and me singing and dancing all the time...

Cause at the end when she sings again J'e ai marre ... she came closer to our side...moving her hand to us...something we didn't expect, cause we thought it was for the other people there....but no, she was giving us her hand and she almost grab my hand...of course everybody wanted to touch her so she just put her hand to the people to let them touch her...

Few minutes later she came again to our side, while singing and went down one step from the stage and tried to reach our hands again ...we were so impressed of that... people and security there notice that and try to help...but people from all parts started to get closer to the stage trying to touch her....and she almost fall down...so she just get back to the stage....and move to the other side...

Almost at the end of the song, she came to us again ...few inches of distance left...but this time she just look to us and smile while singing with us for few seconds -the last chorus of the song....just like "Stars a domicile with Jessica" so amazing!

My brother can't still believe that at his 24 years old, his dream of being so close to Alizée came true... and the best was to had this eye-contact with her.

He has plenty of things to say about each concert but for him that one is the best moment of his life.

For me ...to have my Idol singing both of us together a song for few seconds was amazing...

I guess Alizée really appreciates her true fans and tries to give them some moments of joy as well....

P.D. For the record...after that moment with Alizée and following her philosophy about searching your dreams...from now on ....I will try to do my best to meet Cristiano Ronaldo and get a kiss from him  (LOL)

True rehochipe, I wished I could have made it to DF and see you all again. Sounds like everyone that went there had a blast! Not to mention all the vendors in DF, which was not present in Guadalajara. BTW, I think all of us were working on little sleep and food (I was living off water and Power Bars during my time in Guadalajara until I got to the airport of the trip back). :o

You are famous you know? cause I had read posts about you in other sites (they think you are rich...:p) by being in all the concerts (LOL) and every fan that identifies is willing to help you so you're not alone...and if you need an extra help send me an email and I will try to contact you ;)

Famous ? Yes... I can't go any fricking place in this world without me being not noticed it seems..

Rich ? Fuck no..

Dedicated ? Hell yes !

I sold my apartment to get money to get on these trips and to Paris... I'm fucking poor to speak truth. I have no job, I don't even get my student help (or whatever it's called,,, money anways.. ) anymore since I quite studying as it interrrupt my Alizée stuff.. I sold half of my property already before getting apartment sold to get money for food.

In fact, I have no fucking idea how I'm gonna survie in Paris.. I have used half of my money already and evryday is costing me more and I'm getting no more money from anywhere..

But its' worth it. It's Alizée and I do ANYTHING for her. I suffer her for if that's what her happyness takes. I don't care. Without her, I'm nothing. So there's nothing I wouldn't do for her.

All that just to get things straight. I don't want anypone think I'm rich because I'm not. Everyday in mexico is costing me shit load of money that I would need to buy food and pay bills. But I don't care. Love, it's a tricky thing..

It doesn't. I am certain she neither asked you to wreck your financial situation nor wanted you to, and that when (not if) she discovers you have, she's going to be unhappy about it.

I'd give up my groomed English life and upper class lineage for yours RMJ. I don't know I guess, something about the adventure, chasing something down, a dream perhaps, or a goal, something to dedicate yourself to, I guess i've never felt that experience. I've always thought I lived myself everyday just to get by, but I don't know anymore really, i'd really like to chase my new dream down now! (a musician, maybe Alizée's session musician, that'll be swell)

Two more years and i'm liberated enough to do so. :DI hope you don't feel too flattered you've probably woken up the Indiana Jones in this lad, but I too am willing to aid you in whatever conquest you wish to dedicate yourself to, ever shall we meet, consider it a thank you for (strangely) clearing my thoughts. :)

That means a lot to me, nobody I know ever wants me to go to concerts with them, I get too into the moment they say. :DWhat?! Well, if you clap along to songs that need clapping and wave your arms a bit, what's the problem? Alizée wants to see you enjoying the concert. If all the crowd is involved, it's better. If people like to sit in their seat and just calmly observe, maybe instead of a rock concert, they should go to a classical music concert. It's appropriate at one, not so much the other. If Alizée is singing a quieter or slower song, then you respond appropriately, you know? Maybe try not to yell too much while she's actually singing, but certainly when she stops singing and starts giving those sexy looks, which you guys might not have really seen. She sat on the chair and on the bed and stuff different times doing some poses with a certain expression which I can't really describe well, but she smiles and then sometimes purses her lips like you've seen her do, but anyway it's really alluring looks is the best way I can say, but in the Alizée style.

I also am not rich. I have been maybe average in finances and saved money for several years that I should have probably spent to make repairs on my house. Now I have had no job for a long time and did not take a new job because it would interfere with me going to see Alizée and in a couple weeks going to experience life in Paris and try to learn some more French. Maybe some people really can't afford to go to all the concerts or even more than one, but for some of us it is just that we'd rather spend money going to see Alizée than doing anything else. By spending this money I have sacrificed a lot, but I just think it's worth it. I'm not ruined, but I don't really know what my future will hold. Some people obviously really don't have enough money to do that, especially many of the younger fans. Well, we all have our different lives.

I have been born to an accomplished family, everything I wanted was tended by my parents, and I despised that.

I want to go see more Alizée concerts, gain some real people as friends (not just other rich spoiled idiots), and go live a dream yknow!

Of course, i'll give you an unwritten translation of what happens here to your survival. Never use the term redcoat/limey/pommy, the British here will rip you apart, and i'm serious, don't think the people here will slap you with gloves, the tabloids/public here can be literally 6 times worse than American tabloids.

Another, don't call it an English accent, but there are several you might want to pick up. North English accent is very snotty, you would preferably find these amongst the upper class, Cockney-English is very casual, if somewhat dirty, it's very similar to a New York accent, but it is the origin, most notably used by heavily pronunciated vowels and of course the term, "ello" and "guvnor". Last there is the accent that I speak, Southern English accent, very posh (hence the nickname Posh English), and often can be annoying, but it is very delightful most notable by it's use of some old-english influence such as, "dear boy" or "I dare say" and it is in my studies, it's where the term "bloody" is used the most.

Petrol is a money ripper, we like our speedy trains and transit, you'll love double-decker buses, and the chunnel is fun. So anyways, it's a little summary. :p

Alizée party you say? Would be quite lovely, but I don't think a two-man party would be ever-so-delightful, we'll need to invite the rest of our motley crew! :D

She knows .

Is she unhappy about it ? Who knows... or well, I do in certain point.

But that's my life, everything for her.

How can that be, if what you do makes her unhappy?

What kind of monster do you believe her to be, if you think she would want you to suffer? I know her better than that, and so do you.

You have nothing to offer as a derelict, a waste of a good mind and talent. The best thing you can do for her at this point is to rebuild your life. She doesn't need your money (she has plenty), and she certainly doesn't need your self-destruction. If you can pull things together in France, fine; otherwise go back to Finland, build yourself a base, and move to France later from a position of strength.

Being a little more moderate, at least to the point of not self-destructing, might also set of fewer alarm bells among her managers and security.

It's your life, but that's how I see it.

Age of Empires?

Alizée's family has always been good with money, and she has demonstrated that she learned the concept of a balance life and living within her means. She would have been taught to respect men who handled money well. Even though her apartment is expensive, it is still very modest compared to what she could afford if she chose to.

Same song sequence every show. I wrote them down from the 2nd show and would know if Gourmandises would have been sung, i love that one. ACC, R U kiddin'? RMJ is here, he'd know too. But no ACC either.

Jeez, I just typed a long post and timed myself out and lost everything. I suck!

Quick details from Puebla:

1. No Lili swing on stage for her to swing on. It was replaced with a bench.

2. TV screens were sharpley focused on her face. In fact, the camera men filled the screen with more Lili than the previous shows. However, the screens were too angled for balcony sections. Go figure. Ask ggin or Aldo since they sat balcony.

3. The male aliquin (clown) didn't perform the usual "good bye intermission speech" just prior to Lili singing the 2nd JEAM (closing song). Instead there was a long pause for like 2 min (my est) that had the audience chanting "ALIZEE-clap, clap, clap" over and over.

4. One fan got on stage to hand Lili a stuffed animal. Security got him, but Lili wasn't worried and took it from his hands before security got ahold of him.

5. Three little 6-ish yr old girls replaced the male LBs during L'effet.

The screens looked great from where we were sitting. We were in the center, toward the front. Josh982 was with us also. It was a great place to see everything. I don't think that they could attach the swing to anything because the stage in Puebla was smaller. I thought Puebla was a great show.

We went by Alizee's hotel in Monterrey today, woo-hoo! But, Lowbeam has one-upped us. He went inside! Security has not allowed anyone within 100 meters near the hotel unless you're staying there, and that includes no media/press. Lowbeam hooked up with some lucky mexican fans who are staying there. Talk about luck. Also, I saw a picture of the female arliquin without her make-up. She's a hottie too.

I'm rested up now from our Puebla pyramids and today's Monterrey cave hiking. I'll try posting more immediately. Sorry so lazy folks.

Yesterday, we checked out the arena as they were setting up the equipment. Surprised the security let us in! They must think we're part of the band. Everyone asks RMJ if he's the drummer, or if we're the staff. We're honest guys, we always have said "No, we're just fans." I keep telling RMJ, if you are asked again, you say " 'Yes,' use that European accent so we can work our way into everything."

Just a few minutes ago, Roman roamed over to the arena to see if he could catch any vendors. Nadda, can't understand it. DF had tons of stuff. It was a Lili flea market of sorts there. But, Roman still got inside and heard them performing the sound check with some of the songs.

Well, it's almost that time. Last one for the Mexican tour. We bought Lili flowers and a stuffed pair of lips (almost like a stuffed animal). The lips are to symbolize 1000 hugs and kisses...you know . Wish us luck trying to actually hand this stuff to her instead of trying to throw it up on stage. The stage is high! We have signed cards from us attached to both gifts.

Hopefully, Lowbeam is able to get us 3 extra new CD releases. He's apparently in good hands.

WEll, the concert is over.. .and so is the whole Mexican tour...

But this was damn good way to end it !!

The audience in Monterrey wasn't that excellent but we tried to keep the thing up and cheer Alizée through out the concert ! And she was pleased of our cheering I think, it was basically our seats that was keeping it up so she noticed us many times !

We also gave her little gifts... We gave her bucket of flowers.. 10 roses and 10 some other flowers which I don't know... But anyways, it was beautiful bucket of flowers ! We got photo of it of course and we'll show it later I gues.. Or maybe you'll catch it on the DVD (I hope ! ).

Also.. We gave her another little gift which she picked up from the stage. It was cute too.

But that's nothing yet... During L'effet we went up to the front (our places was in 4th row really) and was like meter or two away from her during whole song. I took video of the song with my camera (yeah, I got it inside once again.. even though they had really hard security check). It's almost full song, not the very start because I got couple photos from it.

Then we had to go back to our places because security didn't like people going up front... Well, we went back to third row (yup, not our real places). And we stayed there until Psychedelices. During the end of it, I gave sign to guys to move to the end of the row (the far right), even though Roman wanted to go the other way toward center... but thankfully he followed me. Well, we got to the end of row and stuck there... Alizée went away from the stage... we were chanting her back to the stage for the encore... and bam ! I give sign to run to the front ! And we run all the way up to the center of the stage, against the fence they have there ! Yes, in front row, and in a moment Alizée will most likely come down to touch hands ! ! And yes, that's what she was going to do !!! The JEAM started and Alizée came down via small stairs ! Landing right in front of us ! I reached right away to touch her hand and as I'm relatively tall, I easily reached up to her elbow or so... and she started to walk to the right and she had to take several steps before se was out of my reach ! And I was hold her hand all that time ! Second or two ! Or minute ! Who knows ! Well, Roman and Ron got to touch her too ! And then... She comes back to the center from the far right !! And once again I get to touch her ! This time with my left hand as I'm trying to figure out with right hand where I put my camera... And I grab her hand again and takes forever before she's again out of my reach ! WOW !! That was amazing ! Much better than in Mexico City ! And she smiled so sweetly all the time ! But anyways, then I got my camera out of my pocket but she was already far left out of my sign.. I put camera on video mode and finally she comes back to center and I get small video her climbing back to the stage. I wished to take video when she was right next to us but well, I was so excited about that ! ! I just missed my chance... But I got to touch Alizée twice !!

Then she went back on the stage and continued the JEAM.. And I get some really fucking awesome videos and some photos.. And at the end of the song she comes to greet her band and stuff once again and we stay there against the fence, so amazing ! The security didn't care anymore if we were there or not, they could not have done anything anyways anymore, too many of us there... And they didn't even bother with my camera even though they saw it for sure, I didn't even try to cover it anymore.

Well, then she goes out of the stage... the concert is over... :(

Some other stuff...

After the concert we stayed on the arena and meet the other fans and took some photos... And Alizée's DJ came back there and let us took some photos and gave us autographs and stuff like that. But then he had to go...

Finally after many photos we decided to leave too to the lobby. And there we met few other fans again, and well... again the DJ comes there ! We chat with him good while, take photos together, talk about what he is gonna do in following months... He's gonna be on touring with some other band in September (meaning Alizée doesn't have concerts in September ? ) and then he goes with Alizée to Paris in October... we told we come there and he was surprised and was like nice !! We'll see there again !

Oh well, anyways... After that we went outside because evryone had left and Alizée supposely too... We went to outside and waited the cars to left the place. There was few vans with dark windows and we weren't sure in which Alizée was in... we waved for each van and we saw some people waving to us.. .but no idea really in which Alizée was...

Another interesting thing... Like I earlier mentioned, I went to see the sound check before the conert. Yesterday we just walked in to the arena when they were setting up things there and since we looked like Europeans or whatever the security didn't give a shit what we were doing there... I guess they thought we were supposed to be there. Altho, funnily enough one security guy came to say not to take photos.. Maybe they knew we were fans but just didn't care. Or thught we were working there and it was simply dissallowed to take photos. Well, of course I took photos anyways...

And that was just yesterday.. Today Roman walked into the arena and looked around in the lobby and came back to the hotel and told me that there was sound check going on... Well, I had to go to the bank and after that I walked straight in the arena... Other people, mexicans, stopped to front door to talk to the security and stuff... and I just walked in like I was supposed to be there... I walked all the way to the area... Sit down... and watched them doing sound check ! Whole band and staff, excluding Alizée, was there. They played her songs, without Alizée singing. It was kind cool. And they played some well known songs to check their equipments... I took some videos and photos, which of course I wasn't allowed... But well, who gives a shit. It was quite an experience too...

But then I had to leave for a dinner... and after that for the concert !

Here's some photos from today..

Must suck the whole thing's over, I mean getting together with other Alizée fans, must be a feeling undescribable, I don't walk down the street in London, all of a sudden start a conversation about Alizée and expect a happy smile and reply...

The DJ guy seems pretty cool, I mean he seems useless, but I guess Lily staff is Lily staff. God how I would dream to be one of those musicians onstage, which guy's the guitarist, if my stereotyping is right, it's the overtly Dimebag Darrell looking guy with the tangly long hair?

Sorry, Barrett, that dude's the bassest.

Ok, well this was probably the crappiest crowd yet, but screw them. There were some cool dudes and we got closer, like 3rd row center, but the best is when we got up against the rail for l'Effet and really close to Alizée for that, smashing up against the rail. And then, really dashing and smashing in for the last song when she walked by and we all got the hand come by twice. So, we all got to sort of pet her arm for a moment or whatever you want to call that. We were jamming and she was jamming; so, it was cool.

Great photos RMJ. Glad you guys had a great time.
I wish I could have been with you for the last one too. It was really hard last night knowing when it was going on. I listened to RMJs audio recordings of the Moscow concert to help get me through it! :D
But it was still really hard not being there. :(

I hope you all have a safe trip home.
RMJ and Roman - have fun in Paris and learn lots of French! :)

I just got back from Monterrey. I know I didn't win an award but I've still got people to thank.

Mtyfan, you are the best! I never would have made it to Monterrey and the Concert without your help. Thank you so much for your help and friendship.

Rehochipe , Zeus, Odie and the other Alizée Mexico Fanclub members. You invited me into your world and made me feel welcome. Four Mexican fans and one old bald guy carreening around Monterrey, checking out Alizée's Hotel, getting stopped by the police - I had the time of my life and I'm not kidding. You included me at the concert and allowed me to take part in your celebration of her. We all love Alizée and that made us friends. Thank you all and don't be mad at me leaving the Arena too soon after the Concert, I didn't want to inconvenience another Mexican fan and I wanted to help out some U.S. and Finnish fans (and me too.)

Most of all, thank you Alizée. I didn't cry at the Concert, even though I thought I would. The sense of wonder you provide prevented any tears. My only excuse for not seeing you before is that I didn't really know, I should have paid attention to those who have seen you. I've listened to your music, seen videos and pictures but nothing could have prepared me for you live on stage. Voice, beauty, and grace, as Rehochipe said Wednesday night "words are not enough". Also, thank you for the kind and generous people that I have met due to your influence. As the plane departed Monterrey I turned toward the window and then the tears came, my mind full of memories of you.

Hi everybody:

Yesterday and today was crazy for me

I arrived to Monterrey at 6 pm and went directly to the Arena for the concert.

We arrived at 9:00 pm and we were so worried that the Arena was empty (35% seats occupied) but then people started to arrived and almost at 9:30 pm the place looked much much better (75-80% seats occupied).

We were sitting in the front :D, we felt kind of weird cause there was a fence dividing the stage and the audience.

Alizée saw us and smiled to us and made us an Ok sign with her thumb finger (not the Britney's sign :p) that was really cool . This time we stand up in some songs, cause I was scared to some guys sitting in the front line that behaved very nasty with Alizee and with all the girls (including me) that were there.

Close to our seats there was a couple with a young girl (11 years old) that was invited to join Alizee for L'effect song but the little girl said NO cause as I said in the front line but in the middle it was packed with only men seriously drinking like if they were at a bar (I'm talking about Whisky, Tequila, Rum, etc) so the little girl was really scared and me too, remind me a movie I saw the other night with Jodie Foster. Alizee noticed also these guys behavior and handle them really good.

While L'effect she sang alone and I could not see her too much cause suddenly everybody was in the front (my brother, me and the couple with the little girl stayed in our places)

She received lots of presents (a tiny tinkerball from a girl, flowers collect by her staff, some teddy bears, a red mouth - I guess it was the one from Alizee America from what I read in this post ;)- etc.)

Jeremy (he's cute ) spent the whole time videorecording all the concert, he also videotaped Alizee very close to her and Alizee never smile him or looked to him to his eyes (very professional ) the people from our side when they saw Jeremy started to turn on their celulars and did the same as Jeremy, was so funny (LOL) :p cause obviously nobody realized it was Alizée's husband, probably they thought it was a reporter :p (LOL)

Alizée spoke perfect spanish in this concert, she mixed spanish with english and few merci beacoup's.

I saw her so close I could see every of her movements; and for me and my brother, this was her best performance of all the concerts in Mexico. She sang with a lot of confidence, she knew how to handle the audience specially the guys in the front (freaky) and at the end EVERYBODY was dancing and singing or clapping hands with her.

I adore DECOLLAGE, when she perfoms this song live- it really makes me get into the beat and makes me stand up and do my best hip hop and tektronic movements  (LOL) hope Jeremy caught me too so I will become famous during her Live Concert :p (LOL)

It was great to grab her hands. But my special moment was this eye-contact we got with Alizee and to see how she recognize us so easily.

When the concert was over we met some fans from other forums  and it's nice to meet fans cause we are all in the same channel -if you know what I mean - ;)

And today we flew to Mexico City in the same plane than Alizée's staff  -what a coincidence! Didn't know if Alizée was on the same plane too. Cause normally they go in the First Class seats and could not see the seats from our places.

We arrived to Plaza Cuiculco at 3:30pm and heard security saying that no one else was going to go into the line for an autograph. So what we did was to go to the store and buy our CD's (we got an autograph poster too that was included with this special CD) then we went for lunch at Beer Factory Restaurant and get to the place again when a Radio DJ was doing some announcements on the microphone about Alizée's arrival.

Finally Alizée appeared but it was also starting to rain and nobody moved from their places...Alizée was really surprised of this. Sony also gave her a recognition for selling 50,000 copies of this new album (by the way the record is really cool with these remixes and they include a Mademoiselle Juliette remix that sounds great too)

Hope you didn't got asleep at this time with so many blah blah blah written for me for this reply

Yep, I touched Alizee! Sounds weird, but we thought we were going to have a difficult time just throwing the flowers to her (really wanted to hand them to directly to her) and I bought a stuffed toy, not animal, but a pillow-size pair of bright RED LIPS. The red lips were to symbolize 1000 xoxo. You know ;)

Actually throwing them to her on stage wasn't an option allowed by the security. So, they took them from us and placed them on stage for Alizee to pick up. Maybe it will show up on DVD. Who knows?

The last JEAM song was like RMJ said, "We go now!!! We got rail side quickly and I couldn't believe this was ever going to happen. I knew immediately when I was up front that I was not going to fall short this time. She walked so slow while singing that she did not rush though the line of fans. I softly cupped my hand from her forearm to her hand, as I'm sure, all rail side attendees did. And got seconds on the way back!!! It's cool now, I can die!

I especially want to point out that her performances during this show of JPVA, Jamais Plus, and ML were exceptionally energizing. It seems that she had more bounce in her dance performance. Maybe it's because it was the last show, or because her hair seemed like it had a bit more bounce to it. I loved how she always got funky dancing during JPVA during her previous shows, but now add the others. Great performance overall, and yes, it's still difficult to choose which was the best. There are highlights from all.

And just as quickly as she appeared 80 mins ago...she was gone! :(

I'd like to thank all you guys that went to Mexico from Alizee America, Alizee Forum, Alizee-Mexico, Alizee Latino, etc. You guys gave me the best summer vacation! We met so many fans from different forums around the world.

Can't believe we followed her through the entire Mexico Concert tour for all 5 shows! It had become the daily routine; Alizee in newspapers; TV; 24 hours of Alizee talk like at a convention; touring Mexican pyramids, caves, historic city sites; and then finish off the day with Alizee in concert!!! I was so sad to leave. I can see why so many fans weeped during her concert.

Lowbeam, thanks for getting us all her new released CD/DVD. DID ANYBODY NOTICE THAT SONG #14 ON THE BACK OF THE SLEEVE IS WRITTEN AS A FIFTY-SIXTY REMIX WHEN IT'S ACTUALLY A COOL MJ REMIX?

I agree with you, her performance that day was superb maybe so many concerts made the difference, or being to close to her, who knows, but it was the best performance I saw her.

I also felt like it was an Alizée's convention in Mexico, so many news, photos, videos, threats, quotes, etc, and having Alizée in Mexico for almost two weeks was pretty cool.

Hey, I found it. I bought a stuffed pair of Big Red Lips pillow from the Holiday Inn gift shop to throw onstage at the Monterrey concert. I signed the card 1000 xoxo from Alizee America and Alizee Forum. Then RMJ, Roman, and I signed it. At :57 sec she picks it up and throws it back towards the crew. Sorry, this is the best quality vid I could find.

Too bad. I was hoping she would use it as a prop. But, at the same time, I didn't want to disrupt the show since Lili was in the middle of a one of my fav performances. The female clown was downstage amongst the crowd and gave the lips a big smacker before I got it up onstage. Alas, memories....

Anyone have video or pics of the flowers we bought her being received by her on stage? I put a sticker on there that said, "I love sneakers and stockings." :p

Very cool rcs. I hope she read your note later. That was a good idea getting the lips, because it is very different from the usual stuffed animals she usually gets. Maybe she'll remember it because it was unique.

That video is cool too. Interesting angle and it shows more of that fantastic dance than any of the others that I've seen so far, IMO. Thanks.

While we were in Mexico, we had a great time with the energy and furvor over Alizée. There was much press concerning Alizée. So, even though we didn't know Spanish, being hard core fans, we collected as many newspapers mentioning anything about Alizée as we could.

For whoever is interested, I scanned them. I'm not so sure I even want to know what they are saying. I'm sure there were some complimentary comments, but I think they talk alot about how Alizée's performance was not like her image publicized in Mexico - not like the sexy scantily-clad fish-dance Alizée.

You can click on the photo, then on full size when ImageShack comes up to get the original.

Finally finished reading all the articles about Alizee :p Well....I'm not surprised by most comments, yet I still feel embarrassed in being Mexican by the harsh, demanding, and harassing Mexican media. Some articles are just really negative setting up an image of an Alizee nonprofessional, childish, or a fake artist. Some of these articles and reports were like if they were expecting a stripper, sex symbol, etc.. which then criticized the concert as a big dissapointment. Some people during these concerts thought Alizee would come out as seen in the J'en ai Marre performances:blink: who then screamed during the concert: "Mucha Ropa!"/"Too Much Clothes"(just embarrassing hearing from this sort of attitude:() However, some newspapars stayed neutral and to the facts reviewing the overall perfomance in which most of the public was expecting a little more but still was satisfied.

Although I didn't have the opportunity to attend to the concerts, there are some comments I agree with some articles:
-Chorists never attended or were part of the tour
-only four musicians and a DJ formed the group, could of added some additional musicians.
-Could of avoided or arrenged better the use of the on-stage furniture
-Media should of made clear the new image of Alizee
-And in my opinion should of eliminated the use of the "clowns" during the show.

Thanks Roman for sharing these articles, eventhough some are harsh:(

It is quite shocking to know this because I knew that whatever success Pshychédélices achieved was mostly due to Mexico and didn't expect this.

I too agree with those points mentioned at last. All those made concert look a bit dull.

Hey you know, it takes all kinds to make a world, it's not like everybody can ever be pleased.

The thing is, true fans won't bother listening to what the medias say, they will go see for themselves.

It's more than just a voice, she might not be in tune all the time, but the fans who knew her in the old days, or even those who got interested and dug into the past know what she's capable of.

She might not be able to compete with a diva, but damn to me it's a good thing, most divas annoy me to death.

Only a fan can understand what it means, and I'm not even talking about Alizée only, it works for everything else in this world.

Just my 2 cheap cents.

I know that. It's not that she was never media was always good to her even in Lolita days. There will be all kind of responses from all kind of people. Fans will listen to only that what their heart says about her.

She need not to compete with anyone. She cannot be compared to anyone else in this world. Its only her who has made such an impression on our mind and you are right that only we can feel it.

I completly agree with you Maquis, it is more than just voice, or appearance, it is that charm, carisma, and uniqueness that Alizee has and offers to the world that captivates us and drwas us in to her world.

Media has to really work in doing enough research before publicating any news article. If does had be done right these negative comments wouldn't of been written, for we have seen the transition and growth of Alizee from Lolita to her own world. Alizee is more than a beautiful woman on a seductive suit, she is a complete mature artist which has a voice that is angelic and talented, which can perform great Covers from top artists and above all is a serious artist.

They will have to accept the changes and the new forms. Keep the old days as beautiful memories and enjoy the present. That what would be best for her fans and in return, to herself too.

Basically yeah.
I mean it's been a few years since we last seen the old "Lolita", she has evolved, people can't expect ANY artist to stay the same over the years, especially when you start so young.

To me it just became normal, evolution is a part of life.

Once again, true fans will accept whatever she has to offer to them, if those fans are interested in the whole "entity" and not only the music style, tastes evolve too, why do you (generally) think a part of her fanbase hasn't changed since the beginning, despite what most people say.

Mexico, as well as most people, seems to be more into the old style.

To me, fans want to see her for real, and most people seemed pleased.
Sure some fans will never grow up the same way and stick with the past version of her, most people who discovered her on Youtube with JEAM and decided to go see her in live will surely be disappointed, the monitored sexy dances are now natural moves.

I see your point, I'm aware that her performance and voice quality on the Psychedelices Concerts was not the best we've seen her do, and focusing on these live concert perfomances(La Isla Bonita, 99 Red Balloons, and The Sound of Silence) they were really bad managed, not the best performed, and bad concert organizing for not having the proper preparations for these songs and hers also.

However, I want to ask now that it has been brought up, so these covers and perfomances are they even considered live covers?:

May someone please clarify which one can be considered a live cover?
I love the way she has performed these "songs"/"covers"/"singles" at the level of the original artists and in some cases (in my taste) performing a better version of the song, this can be done by very few artists, and she's one of them:D.

Edit: Ah ok thanks Maquis and Jung for clarifying my doubts

It depends what you expect, you can't really compare a studio version with a live version, especially when you move the whole concert.
She lacked breath, but it's not like you can't work on that.

Besides the new version of this song doesn't really emphasize her voice, it would have been interesting to hear the latino version in live, which is more calm and natural, I'm sure everybody would have prefered it.

@Alex.

All the songs you posted are live covers, minus "La Isla Bonita", "Ella Ella L'a" and "Adélaïde", which were recorded before the show, that's how managers wanted it.

EDIT: I forgot "Il jouait du piano debout" from Hit Machine, but Hit Machine... it's not an example, most artists record their songs before the performances, even most super famous artists who always sing live, it's lame, but there are exceptions.

I'm pretty sure I just did. It is what separates performers from studio artists.

It can't get more obvious.
You still have to take in consideration all the factors that differ with a studio recording.

But it's not like this "debate" will go anywhere, it looks like you're holding a grudge or something, and every single post is about critisizing her and lowering her in every way, I'm sure some people who read you wonder why you're even posting, know that I'm not being mean, I'm just wondering if it wouldn't be easier for you to just leave if you hate her so much?

Myself, I wonder what happened, it's your right to think what you want, but to me it's really vague.

What if you compare her with Melissa Mars?
If you're as fan of her as we are of Alizée then you might find it insulting I know.

Would you mind explaining what triggered that hatred?
Either way, at least I tried.

And I come in peace. :p

You still have to take in consideration all the factors that differ with a studio recording.

Performers have no problem working through the "factors". Truly some artists can play or sing better live than they can in a studio. Alizee at one time was a rather decent performer, but she needs to have the push and drive from others.

What if you compare her with Melissa Mars?

I don't really compare artists together, I can love two completely different artists without having to compare their qualities, imperfections, their world and style etc...

So no, there is no way I can find it insulting, it's subjective after all. ;)

Just treating her how she treats people ;)

That's what I thought.
She must've been really evil.

What does that mean? Her treatment to people?

Lack of informations, her doubts, personal choices most "fans" can't accept etc...

She comes and go, most think by doing that she doesn't respect her fans.

Perhaps there is another reason.
