Video not playing correctly

I downloaded from AF..

But when I play it in VLC, it just fast forwards through the whole thing with no sound, and I can't get it to slow down. Any ideas why? Thanks.

Edit: It does it for part 2 as well.

Do you have the right codecs for .m2v videos?

Pretty sure, I've been playing other .m2v videos fine on VLC.

It plays on Windows Media Player, but the tracking bar is broken and I can't get subtitles to work.

There is no guarantee that all .m2v and .mkv formats will work in VLC. It depends on how the original was encoded. Try Media Player Classic with K-Lite or CCCP codec pack. It has never let me down yet.
