Hey, has anybody else had trouble voting today? I've tried from both work and home, on a few different machines, with no luck. I get as far as the screen where the categories are supposed to come up (with the pierced tongue in the middle), but nothing happens...it just hangs.

Technical issue? Or has MTVLA figured out that several non-Latin American IPs were rocking the vote?

I had no problem voting earlier or just now. Try clearing the cache maybe. It looks like the arrows for maneuvering between (skipping) voting categories have been removed.

Clearing the cache alone didn't seem to do it, but after I rebooted, it seemed to do the trick. Just voted with no issues.

Looks like they may have dumped two categories. Anyone else noticing this, or is my series of tubes all clogged up again?

What I'm thinking is that I'll set up a voicechat/discussion room over at Talkshoe (http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/main.jsp?pushNav=1&cmd=home) where we can basically hang out, and amuse and support each other throughout the day as we engage in some hardcore Lili-voting over at MTVLA.

Talkshoe is free to join, and free to call into as long as you're using their internal "shoephone" VOIP. (You can also call in via Skype or landline, but then you're incurring long-distance fees. For some reason, they don't allow Skyping into Talkshoe directly, which is stupid, but whatever...) Theoretically, hundeds of people can join in the chat at once, though naturally I'm not anticipating that big a turn-out. And even if you don't have a headset and mic, or you're just shy, you can still hang out, listen in, and participate on the integrated chatroom.

Well, I don't know if you read my previous suggestion or not(if not, that's ok, I'm used to having my suggestions ignored), but have you tried listening to Alizée as you vote? And for me, the knowledge that I'm voting for something that Alizée ACTUALLY WANTS(unlike certain other things that seem to have a higher priority around here) is a major bonus. And you're right, I haven't done it 1000 times... I've done it 1306 times(and counting!). However, my goal is 2000, so I have a long ways to go. I'll keep voting after I reach it, though.

I know he wasnt blaming all the Mexicans, someone posted something about that like a page ago. But it has to be clear, the event was in Mexico, but all America could vote, actually all the world.

But I guess this was really just a popularity contest and does not mean that much in the world of awards.

A bit disappointed, but I wonder if you actually were able to vote like we did in the first place. If you were able to vote from 'out of country' locations, if you were able to vote repeatably this many times or if the votes were counted at all. I see this as a very poor way of handling a vote, using a simple flash interface like they did. It can easily be manipulated and cheated.
I actually doubt that they used it to decide the final winner at all.

Doesn't matter anymore thou, I'm happy she got nominated and yes, it's evident that she got a very strong fan base. That is what counts after all.
