Wow, that is very slick! Really nicely designed and laid-out, and the virtual page turning is kinda cool. I'm really impressed--the fans behind it definitely deserve a cookie.

The Chinese fans made an e-zine like that once:

I'm missing the 4th issue. Does anyone have it?

This is the mexico concert, correct? And if I download all those will they like smush into one video automatically? (Are they winrar .part's?)

Also, TYVM either way, I love when she sings Sound of Silence :wub:

Maybe they'll make a moscow/mexico DVD, unless they already have that o_o

Try it again now, Pluton. And no Idéaliser, they're seperate videos. Ok, it's not the "FULL" concert, there are small gaps between files, but it's like 98% of the show.

That's alright :D It's sorta like the Moscow one then.

I'll just pop them into movie maker and make them all one big video xD

Is it just me, or does her dance moves seem a bit weird? Maybe she's just out of practice xD

So I finally got around to converting this and burning it onto a DVD this morning so I could watch it tonight after work. I'm on my third go-round as I type this. I'd seen bits and pieces of this concert here and there on YouTube, but finally getting to sit down and watch it (more or less) from beginning to end on a decent-sized screen...wow.

This was an awesome show. If the video and sound quality were better, it could easily rival En Concert. Sure, the choreography isn't there, and her voice is a little shaky at points (because she has trouble hearing herself, I guess?), but her enthusiasm and the sheer amount of fun she appears to be having more than make up the difference. Some of the songs actually seem even better live--it's totally turned me around on Lonely List and Jamais Plus (about which I was ambivilant before), and I even found myself really enjoying L'Effet (which has always left me cold).

And I know I might be alone in this, but I actually kinda dig the reorchestrations of her older stuff, especially Moi...Lolita, which just flat out rocks here, as does the new JPVA. (I really, really love the funktastic bassline on the new JPVA.) JEAM doesn't fare quite as well, but again, her enthusiasm in performing it more than makes up for the lack.

Anyway...I was so totally not expecting to love this nearly as much as I did. After watching En Concert as often as I have, I actually expected to feel a little let down, which I think is why I put it off as long as I have. So not the case. Just wanted to share.

As much as I was wishing I could have been there back in June, it's doubly true now. Awesome, awesome show.

Thanks again for posting this, Snatcher!

No problem, they are great aren't they? I know it would be a huge upload, but mind sharing your DVD? Or at least tell us what program(s) you used? I've had trouble getting these files playing nice with each other or my DVD Player. Thanks!

Oh yeah, and I totally agree about the reorchestrations!

Sure! Though I suspect it's usually bad form to link torrents on here (at least I've never seen one, anyway), would it be alright if I linked to my own for this purpose, just this once?

Please note that I am not advocating piracy in any way, shape or form. It's just probably the most efficient way to transfer such an enormous file (4.12 GB!)

If it's not cool, go ahead and take it down, and we'll figure out something else.

Right on. The new Moi...Lolita and JPVA are (to quote Teen Girl Squad) SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!! :D

EDIT: ...because a few people have already asked me in PMs how this whole torrent thing works, here's a short tutorial on how to download torrent files (http://www.wikihow.com/Download-Torrents).

Thanks! There's nothing intrinsically wrong with posting a torrent here, it just depends on the content. Still though, at 4+ gigs I'm thinking it might be easier if you told us how you made it, so we can re-create the DVD ourselves from the original files?

Yeah, that could work too...

The program I used to convert the files and author the DVD is DVD Flick (http://www.dvdflick.net/), which is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. It did have a little bit of trouble with T@KEO's files--it wouldn't generate thumbnail images, and warned me that the files might not encode properly--but they seemed to come out OK, for the most part.

So I've been seeding the DVD torrent I made for about a week now. I haven't really publicized it much, just added it to one tracker and threw up the link here. And in that time, I've drawn two interesting conclusions:

1) There is a metric assload of closeted/non-vocal Alizee fans out there, many of whom appear to be American. It took until about Tuesday for the torrent to really pick up speed, but since then there hasn't ever been less than 100 peers in the swarm...and at times, it's gotten pretty close to 200. (This doesn't sound like much, but consider that folks are downloading this thing fairly quickly as a result, so old peers are cycling out and new ones cycling in on a consistently steady basis.) This appears to support a theory I've held for awhile, that we're just a vocal minority, and not the whole of Lili's North American fanbase. There appears to be an awful LOT of lurkers out there...

2) The demand for a DVD of the Psychedelices tour is definitely there, if this many people are clamoring to download a 4GB bootleg. (Granted, I don't know how many of these people would actually PAY for it, were a commercial version to be made available, but that's a whole other issue...)

I'm tempted to throw this up on some other tracking sites and see if the numbers continue to bear out, but I suspect that might cross the line beyond "giving back to the community" into outright piracy, and I don't know that Lili or her record label would appreciate my little science experiment.

I appreciate the uploads but I hate how Myléne won't let the songs go and give all right's to Alizée because they don't even sound like what she had and what I stumbled upon when I started listening to Alizée. And I guess she isn't allowed to do the dance either? This isn't the Alizée I love. Although it's nice to see she hasn't forgotten one of my favorite songs in the world. J'en Ai Marre.

That is a myth that has become common on this forum, but it is a myth. You can't copyright a song arrangement. Alizee CAN perform the old songs in their original arrangement. She has just chosen not to.

I suspect she has no desire to perform that dance again either.

Exactly. You have to remember that she's been performing some of these songs for over eight years, now. I suspect the reorchestrations were undertaken to keep them fresh not just for her audience, but for her, as well as to better reflect the person she's grown up to become in the interim. Some artists just stop performing the early songs in their catalogue altogether. Personally, I think this is a pretty good compromise.

I'd actually love to have studio recordings of all the "new" versions, especially Moi Lolita and JPVA (the bassline for which I've had stuck in my head for days)!

I suspect she has no desire to perform that dance again either.

/mourn Lili, but /agree Lili.

What a disappointment because I really loved JEAM dance.

What a disappointment because I really loved JEAM dance.

Who didn't? But don't you think its better that her performances were kept to a a low manageable number? That way we, as fans, can better appreciate and cherish the wonder that they truly were. What if she were to bust out the JEAM dance again and it paled in comparison to the original performances? It would undermine the sheer wonder they inspired. Sometimes, less is better, lest glorious things are made pedestrian by the meddling hands of repetition ;).
