View Full Version : Alizee singing Fifty Sixty at a church

This is what it would sound like if Alizee would be singing her song at my church with me accompanying. Alizee, care to make a stop when you're in New York? One can only dream I guess.

Yeah I could have added more tracks but wanted to keep this version simplistic.

If you like it and drop your email here I can send you the mp3 version through email.

Wow, I expected it to sound ominous and melodramatic, but it wasn't so. That was really awesome, you did a fantastic job :).

Never thought I'd see myself write this about organ music, but that was awesome, dude. Definitely a unique take on the song--well done!

It really is a shame that Psychedeclips never took off the way it should have. It'd totally suggest submitting this if it had.

Liked it.
But when I think Church music I always think of a ballady grandeur.
Maybe those extra tracks would have helped.
Great job through and through though. :)

Surprisingly different. Well executed.
I guess it's waiting for a didgeridoo version now.

What about the kazoo? The accordian? The noble ukelele? What about the jug-and-washboard-band version of Fifty-Sixty? That's what I'm waiting for.

I am so on it .

Dude, if you pull off a diggeridoo version of Fifty-Sixty--hell, of any of Alizée's songs--you will be my hero.

Someone turn Fifty Sixty into an orchestral of epic proportion! :p
(Anyone notice this song is the subject of so many different genre remixing?)

Nice, but I didn't like the way you just followed the voice chords with the organ. You could've played around creating pitch to the main chords and make it more 'churchy'. But great stuff in overall.

I too would like to hear a full orchestra version with a more symphonic sound, would be awsome indeed.

Thx for the feedback... I may work on an orchestral soon. Until then, I made a piano instrumental version that works well for going to sleep.

Check it out.

I have to agree with you, every single word. ;) I need to have a album of Alizée piano mixes *hint hint NY* lol j/king, but I wouldn't mind just some easy listening piano music to chill out on sometimes.

I noticed something I could've really liked on the piano version.
More usage of damper pedal to provide that real atmospheric, echoy, dream-like sound. :)

O.K. I liked that a lot, so I gave it a try.
Not perfect, but it wasn't easy either, since you gave it a very different interpretation. :o

Whew! I thought I was going to hear your voice accompanying the melody :D. (I'm sure you would have done a great job though :p).

Seriously though, I think you did a good job adding her voice with the slower tempo.

Don't really like the Organ one so much. Piano version is very nice, I think it should stay the way it is, no voice.

hey Just a Guest... i really liked how you matched up the vocal... came out kind of artsy in the middle with the slightly off matching, and i like that...

made me realize that this version would truly be great if alizee sung it

and yes, some pedal may have been nicer... i might try an acoustic piano next time

so do you think we could get alizee to sing this one?

Great job, you did all you could with that voice. But I don't think the voice we get from the website suits this version very much, she need to sing it again in a diffrent manner for it to mix.

ha ha, that's hilarious. I'll have to send you my email. This reminds me of the lady playing the giant organ at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico before Alizée's concert. House of the rising sun baby! :p
