If you're on a PC hit PrtScn. Then open paint, clicke Edit>Paste and then save it to you computer somewhere. Then go to a web hosting site, upload it and then post it here.

For me to be in France I would have to buy a condo and set up a computer to have that ip or use a proxy server. How would I know how to do all that?

I will setup my computer the way I like it. If that means it's a mix of French & English, who cares? If I was taught to use chemise when I line up folders, who cares?

I know the picture wasn't taken in Halifax I lived there while in university, but the tall ship events gathered ships from all over the world, including Italy and the one used in Master and Commnder (Russell Crowe), and was wondering if you knew the name of the ship because it looked familiar. Although it's so small it really hard to tell which one it is.

Too bad, it's really great to see them up close and get to go on board. And seeing close to a hundred, counting all the small single masted ones, in a Parade of Sail is something to see. But from the photo it looks to be 5 masted those are quite rare, which is why I asked if you knew which one it was.

Opera is really nice (http://www.opera.com/), they have a lot of original ideas and a unique 'minimalist' feel that I like. I always try to use it because I like it best, but always go back to firefox because of random bugs in certain websites that are annoying. it isn't Opera's fault, everyone just codes for IE and doesn't follow standards .

As you can see in the Corbeille help window below, it's the standard label that Microsoft France decided to use. Poubelle (trash can) would have sounded better indeed because it's more general. It's used for everything in the house while corbeille is the basket you have in an office for papers only.
The French guys you're talking about probably have used Poubelle since they probably were translating everything from EN to FR (??) and then used the best word. On their own French computer, I'm sure they don't bother changing Corbeille to Poubelle :).

Well in English versions its called the Recycle Bin, because you can undelete the files in it if files if you want, so not really called a trashcan but close enough I guess. And I don't think I've ever seen windows available in anything but the English version here, you probably can custom order it, but since most computers come with the English version preinstalled with no option for the French most don't bother. If you prefer French you change the language settings and rename stuff but it is still the English version. At one time Mac offered a French OS and Fr. Canadian Keyboard, they might still do. And for My Computer they usually rename it to Mon Computer or Mon Ordinateur. :)

As you can see in the Corbeille help window below, it's the standard label that Microsoft France decided to use. Poubelle (trash can) would have sounded better indeed because it's more general. So, the use of Corbeille was very logical. Because files are often referred as "documents" (because lots of files used to be text files... nowadays of course media is the most common file format). So, it's trash can for documents. Not for plastic wraps, drain hairs, left over food or other trash. So, taking the "trash can" word from office environment, it's very logical.

Haha! That reminds me of a little joke I once played. I am a high school Librarian (with a sense of humor, believe it or not). Some of the kids here like to play the game Snood. (Familiar with it?) So once I set a screenshot from the game as the background on one of the computers here. When kids first sat down at the comp, they thought someone had left the game up and would try to play ... but of course it wouldn't work. That tended to confuse them for a minute or two. :)

Well I prefer a neat desktop (which is quite unlike my real desk :o ) and I also find the start menu a lot easier to organize, and quicker to find things, instead of having to sift through tons of icons on my desktop.

I keep my Desktop relatively clean, I'm not too lazy to use the start menu. To the right I have Winamp running, I'm at 2207 songs so far and counting. Yeah, I know I don't have something about Alizee on there but I like Mandy Moore too :cool:

It has bad decoder so it distorts the music you are listening and it isn't original anymore but raped. But an audio player must play the song in the way it's meant to be played. And despite fact that mp3 is lossy audio format that doesn't mean that it's too bad. In this point even WMP is better. Fact. I suggest that you use other player if you really care of music. For example you can use foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/), which can be usefull also for flac files, at least and if you need equalizer presets - here you go (http://www.zshare.net/download/foobar2000_eq_presets-zip-3by.html).(: Btw: Skins are not argument and i also was winamp fun but time goes and we estimate real values from fake. Winamp is for average users who don't care about music just listens to it, but not for real music fans.
Personally my favorite is Apollo (http://koti.welho.com/hylinen/apollo/). Why? Because -> Sound quality isn`t skinnable.(;

When you use place like imageshack.us, it will be visible to everyone right away.

It isn't too hard to do it, you just have to have a program to make ".ico" files (assuming you're using xp, I can't vouch for vista). In order to make them, you can either get the plugin for Photoshop (which is attached, with installation instructions) or you can get a separate program to make them, like GIF Movie Gear (http://www.gamani.com/).

Once you have your .ico file made, you simply right click on the desired shortcut, select Properties>Change Icon>then select the directory for your custom .ico file and select OK. Voila a custom icon. There may be other ways to do this, I'm sure, this is just the way I know how. Hope this helps! :)
