If you had to choose one word to describe Alizée ... what would it be?

and it can't be 'perfect' .. (cause that is already understood by all)

I think it's already been established that the only word that can come anywhere near Alizée's greatness is in fact, "Alizée"

"Toc de mac" also comes to mind :D

I'll quote myself because I still think Alizée is the only word you can use. Yes all the other choices are great but Alizée is the only one that transcends languages. Yes this is an English forum, but Alizée is undertood by all her global fanbase, regardless of language. (At least in the ones that use the Roman alphabet):)

I was just having a little fun, misquoting the Tao Te Ching. The intent of the original passage was that the Way cannot be adequately described by words ... which I think is true of Alizée, too. Still, as with the Way, we feel compelled to talk about her, and so must use words to describe her, realizing all the while that no words will be quite adequate.

you know, every human has a lot of good "masks". you are friend to something-you are different. you are son to your father-you are different, you are forum memeber-you are different, you are chat memeber-you are different. so we can't describe any human, Alizee too...

Interesting. And essentially true, but there's no reason to "quit the business" permanently to do that. Taking some time off while raising an infant is just good sense, but Annily/Anny-Lee/Whoever is no longer an infant.

By the time I discovered her, she'd already delivered that note in March '06 saying she was working on a new album. So I always assumed her break was temporary.

Hm...the use of "cheese" might connote something else musically that we wouldn't want to get into.

Champagne...hm...well, that would be something effervescent, light, ephemeral, and is rapidly intoxicating, but that doesn't age well...we wouldn't want that last part though.

(None of this is a criticism, just some fluffy commentary for the sake of discussion :p )

I haven't found any girl like her. If you find, please inform me !!!

In your dreams!!!

But actually, when I finally received my purchase of the DVD 'Alizee en concert' I needed to see what it was like and all that so I asked around where I worked and found a lady/secretary that had DVD capability on her computer. So due to artful begging we got around to viewing it. Since she, of whom I work with & owe many favors to now, had never even ever heard of Alizee I was somewhat beside myself feeling good about my persuasiveness for subtly introducing 'en concert' on her computer screen; while the boss was out of the office.

Her first description was like,..."what, you speak French?....Well, I see a shoe....Gad, she's flawless."

I just kind a said,., yeah.

So, do you speak French? It'd probably be funnier if you had to say "heck no, but I'm listening anyway!" :D

I think "Alizée" would be the only right word to describe her ;)

精 (Jing) ususally are very beautiful females and have the ability to manipulate someone's heart.

I think "Alizée" would be the only right word to describe her ;)

To even begin to come up with only one word to descibe Alizée....absolutely impossible. Only one word can describe Her Majesty and Grace.....and that word is ALIZEE!!!! :D:D:D

Nice thread, goes way back.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Anything I could come up with results in a runtime error delivered directly from god.

So I'm gonna go with X as in an unsolvable equation.
One simply cannot compute her :p
