I am thinking its an expression used to express a happy emotion or the opposite when used in sarcasm just yippee and woohoo

It's English for...YIPPIE!!!! Or YAY...
Don't be modest, Youpidou1. We all know she's singing about you. :p

'Youpidoo' may be related in meaning to 'whoopidoo', which is a sarcastic way of saying "big deal" or "so what, who cares".
When I listen to 'Youpidoo' (the song), Alizee's voice doesn't sound sarcastic; But when I read the English lyrics of the song, some phrases may be interpreted as being sarcastic.

i see.. my first thought that it was just some random cute little word that she made up.
:p
and vista, i too read up the lyrics in english.. and im not too sure if it comes off as sarcastic. but then again, i find that translated lyrics aren't exactly accurate in conveying the same message as the song does in French.

I agree concerning the edition of the translation. (that it loses something in the conversion)

yeah, i noticed that when i heard the english version of JEAM, as in the one when Alizee sings in english, and then i watched a video of her singing it in french, only it had english subtitles, and even then, it was different.
and im pretty sure that there are some french slangs or such that doesn't translate over accurate or in a way that expresses the same idea.

sorta makes me think of a French version of like.. Ocean's 11 or something.
:p
Alizee? As a master criminal mind? Now THAT would be a interesting movie.

Heh, that's kind of where I was going with it, yeah. :p It's exactly what popped into my head when I first saw the photo.

Actually--and this is how much thought I've invested in it, sad to say--I kind of envision it as being sort of like the movie "Sneakers", or Roman's reference to the A-Team, where they're a team of white-hats who are technically operating above the law...but with that kind of tongue-in-cheek suave sophisitication that Ocean's 11 had.
I mean, Lili might play by her own rules, but she'd never be a bad guy, right? :p

Youpidoo is what you find on the rug when you've been gone all day and didn't get back in time to walk your youpi.
