This thread will be used to set up "net teams" who will send out emails, IMs, and hit up social networking sites like MySpace with Alizée promotions.

so if we're to hit social networking sites, im assuming facebook is also included.

do we have a facebook group? an Alizee America one that is? cuz i haven't found it yet, and most of the Alizee related pages/groups on facebook are not exactly what youd call active.

Come on Ben! The bombers have taken off and are flying in circles in the assembly area. We need to know where we should drop our bombs soon or this mission will have to be scrubbed.

Yeah, there will be new stuff soon but that doesn't mean we can't start planning. But hey I can't do everything, am actually super busy with other things these days. So get rolling, what social networking sites should we hit? Not just the obvious ones like MySpace, Twitter, and Facebook, but others too. Lets make a list and then divide the work.

i was surfing through facebook, and like i said, the Alizee groups seem quite dead.. and i haven't found the Alizee America forum one. there is a group called Alizee America, but its for moi-alizee.com...

moi-alizee.us is the only URL i use to get here, i just got used to it since the beginning.

Someone should probably design a line of matching banner/logo type things for the net team to spread around. I'm not sure how active I could be on most of the previously mentioned social networking sites, but I could use an eye-catching banner for blogs or my email signature :D

Good idea. In general this site needs a good graphic artist (I'm moderate at Photoshop). Anyone up for the job?

I'm taking Computer Graphics 2 next year as a senior, meaning im learing but im not that great. But i dont have access to photoshop, adobe fireworks, or adobe illustrator at home :(. nonetheless i will do what i can. for one thing, (i use Zune Marketplace) i think that because i subscribed to the AA podcast, the software now immediately posts the podcasts on Alizée's artist page as news feed on Zune.net so i guess thats some form of advertising for this site for any of her listeners on the Zune website. :D

I'm up for it, depending on exactly what we need. The best thing I have to point at atm is my sig, but I can design a lot of other things too.

To change the subject for a minute...
I noticed the other day that YouTube.com had several videos related to one artist or band featured on the home page as some sort of Tuesday music something or other...I never noticed it before, but it seemed like it was a weekly thing. Anyone familiar with this?
Anyway, if they do it every week, do you think we could get them to feature Alizee? I don't have a youtube account, but I think you can send messages to other users there.

I like the idea of doing art for others without expecting commission or recognition, as I do it quite often (because I don't value things I buy or make).
However i'm absolutely horrid at digital artwork, so i'll pass. :p

Here's one quick and easy thing that everyone with a Twitter account can do: send a tweet to @Jive_Epic (http://twitter.com/Jive_Epic) and ask them to give us the tools (http://bit.ly/uK1Gk) to help promote the new album!

Whoever maintains the Twitter feed for Jive/Epic France has actually been really good about interacting with fans and responding to Twitter conversations. A few of us have already tweeted them with a link to AW's blog post on Alizée Nation, but the more of us who do, the more likely they are to sit up and take notice!

If you do have a Twitter account, please take a moment to copy one of the messages below and tweet it to Jive/Epic! (Or feel free to phrase it however you like. Just remember to include the link!)

Ooohhhh! Great news....Any way we can message them without a Twitter? This is really positive. If they start acknowledging that the fans are useful tools for promotion, and that there are a significant amount of us, more resources could be shunted over to the official promotion of Alizée. Either way, this is much better than what the previous label did.:D

Now that we're closer to there actually being something to promote, I wonder if it might not be a good idea to start the "Give us the tools!" campaign again?

And it may be pie in the sky, but I'd also like to take a real run at making @mellealizee a trending topic on Twitter on March 29th, but that's going to take a massive co-ordination of fans not just here on AAm, but on all Alizée fan sites to achieve. As in, all of us choosing a block of time to be at computers/mobile devices and tweeting about it hardcore, simultaneously. It's do-able, but entirely dependent on co-ordination. Do we have any ambassadors to other sites/forums who'd be willing to broach the subject and stir up interest?
