She did an album in 94 called The Divine Comedy which the alien song is from.
There are alson some demo songs on http://www.millaj.com/music/index.shtml to download. Pretty weird music and a bit different from the album still good if you like alternative rock or what it should be called.

Strictly free-association, I guess based on the fact that it was a computer game theme--looking up the Portal song makes me think of that WoW video I saw months before about what inspired all the different dances, which reminds me that I wanted to look up that amazing girl from whom they cribbed the Night Elf dance, and voila! The rest is history.

I don't really watch football, but nice video ALS. They seem pretty talented for their age. I also found a really young band I am addicted to right now.

I just found this great band from Norway called The Blacksheeps, they are the best sounding band I have heard in a long time. They have a great old school punk sound and the crazy thing is they are only 14 and 15 years old. The vocalist Agnete is only 14 and has a really impressive voice, perfect for rock music. They have already won two competitions for their song Oro Jaska Beana. Right now they haven't officially released a CD but are supposed to be working on one. They have a few cover's and a few of their own songs they wrote up on YouTube. They do sing in Norwegian and English, the first video I post is sung in Norwegian and the second is in English. Wow Lindsey is really impressive with that violin and one of the most expressive while playing that I have ever seen. I have heard violin is one of the hardest instruments to master and she just dances around while playing it. I may not be into the black eye peas, but she did a great job and I like that move at 1:15 as well.

-EDIT- Just saw the rock song she did in the other thread and like some of the others said I cant believe she wrote that, really fantastic stuff. I would love to hear her do more, the violin and piano are absolutely amazing instruments and its a shame to not see them used as much. You let her know Rocket that we want more :p.

Finally got my account fixed. Thought I got it banned but it turns out it was an e-mail issue. Still don't have access to the internet regularly. The friend I'm staying with uses a crappy cell phone internet service. Anyway, onto the music.

More foreign music that I listen to. I don't understand the lyrics but I don't understand Alizee or MC Sniper either, I just love music in general. This music, easiest way to describe it is folk music + Rammstein.

You guys really need to hear this pianist he is amazing. One of my favorite pianist of all. He is American born is Seattle. He had a concert in Mexico not to long ago. Here he plays his song ''Cristofori's Dream''. Cristofori was the inventor of the piano. It is a master piece to me.

Yeah they are really cute and I really liked the song Robokiss they did, they did a video of them two in a room dancing around and singing and its pretty funny.

I also found a really great singer and performer (live shows) from Sweden, well she was born in Iran but grew up in Sweden. She has won 3 awards of 7 nominations over there on her first album that she created herself. I believe she just released her third album and her name is Laleh. Here is a video of a popular song of hers, she has some other great songs too if your interested.

the first time i saw alizee was 3 yaers ago
i first knew the song Moi Lolita and i didn't know anything else about her until one day i opend youtube and found an interview with her i watched the interview and i didn't have any idea what it was about but the way she was talking was amazing and her innocence
is clearly shown in her eyes and she is the most beautiful woman i have ever seen
since that day i loved alizee more than i love my GF :PP

in my hometown kinda it was impossible 2 find someone who knows Alizee that's why i started 2 tell everybody about her and all i had 2 do is 2 make them listen 2 the song "Moi lolita" live from her 2004 concert and they go asking who is she ???
and when they do i never stop talking about her .
now all my family knows her and my friends 2
last months i met a guy who hates frensh music (I mean realy hates it ) and when he came 2 my birthday he haerd Alizee's songs (C'est trop tard) & (Hey amigo )And he asked me who is that girl !!!???
and tom i'm going with him 2 virgin megastore 2 buy him the (Psychedelices album and Alizee En Concert)
who knows may be next week he will buy her other 2 awesome albums.

Sorry but i talk 2 much about alizee (Actually i never stop) she is the only artist who is going 2 be my star 4 ever .

Mandy Moore's new album "Amanda Leigh" dropped today. I'm not crazy about the lead single off it ("I Could Break Your Heart Any Day of the Week"), but the rest of the album is really, really good. Her voice is amazing.

Been listening to the Little Boots album a lot. Many have compared her to Saint Etienne and they have a bit of a point.

Probably the same way I do, internet, recommendations, YouTube, typing in random words in Google Search. :)

Well it's a bit easier to find new bands in the same genre, but to find a new band in a completely different genre is quite a jump. I listen to the radio to "widen my spectrum", but not neccesary THE radio; There are many good radiostations with djs that actually like music and don't just play what they are paid to play. Of course most of them are bound to the internet however, but internet is becoming more and more mobile by the day. Thinking of getting an iPhone myself in the near future :p

Terroja forum and Ibanez Forum is where i've recently found myself hanging around, and they have some of the most intelligent and open-minded people in the world. Why, just being there i've increased my music list by at least 100 artists and even more songs, and i've done the same to others as well. :)
Pandora radio is also pretty cool, I search for Al Di Meola and i'll get his tunes as well as others of a similar sound.

Not a big thrasher, but this has got to be one of the better songs by them. Considering I never really supported them anyway. :p

I discover new music by looking at the top rated albums on rateyourmusic. I'll take a listen on youtube and buy it if it sounds good.

Dave Carroll is a country singer. His song, like other great country tunes, rides an undercurrent of tragedy. It was inspired by his broken heart.

Now, country hearts are usually broken by unattainable love. But that wasn’t Carroll’s experience. No, his heart was broken by baggage handlers.

He was flying United Airlines from Nova Scotia to Nebraska. During a long layover in Chicago, Carroll peeked out the window. Baggage handlers where heaving guitar cases around. Guess what? They broke his favorite $3,500 guitar.

He pursued payment from United. But every request was rejected. To Carroll, there was no question—United had done him wrong.

So, he put his heartbreak into song.

Needless to say United Airlines is now taking another look at his claim. ;)

It's unfortunate they don't play it too much but I guess it makes sense since they played it so much when they started. I also really like high and dry, but they don't play it at all. Can't wait for the new album!

Creep is Radiohead's biggest hit, but the album it's from, "Pablo Honey", is easily my least favorite Radiohead album.

"Ok Computer", "The Bends", "Kid A" and "In Rainbows" are all fantastic albums and 4 of my favorites.
