You're in college man, if you feel unsafe, email your professors/TAs that and stay inside.

I'm sure they'll understand it. I know that I would probably do something like that too.

It's sad that we now live in a society that constantly relies on others to protect them, and they get all paranoid when they see what may or may not appear to be a firearm.

What has the weather been like over there? I wouldn't be surprised if somebody walked in with an umbrella and some fool spazzed out. Heck over here if there is any possibility of rain or snow it's wise to bring an umbrella because you can't see the storms coming until they pass over the mountains and by then it's just a few minutes away.

its always snowing here.
according to reports, the cameras actually display what appears to be a rifle / shoot gun.

That seems to be the way the world is headed Jung... Police don't want people to get involved... Then wonder why, when the police question people, they don't want to get involved...

Many places in the world are becoming more and more totalitarian (US included) because everyone wants to feel "safe" and so discard some of the responsibility of their own safety in return for "assurances" that whatever new policies/procedures or whatever are put into place, that NOW they will "be safe..."

Well "safe" is *not* the norm for the human race.

Just my 0.02 $....
