You all remember that video where it showed Alizee being escorted away, someone grabbed her and was practically carrying her away, and as she passed the camera she stuck out her tongue...

What was that all about? Why was she being escorted away like that? Where was that? Its a very fast video, just a few seconds

It's after Jérémy's concert. And she's just escorted to car so she could get hell outta there. It's quite normal procedure after concert for celebrities who are surrounded by fans.

And she shows tongue again to camera because she loves to do it.

Some people stick out their tongue at the camera because they're nervous. They see a camera pointing at them and feel like they should be doing something but aren't quite sure what, so they stick out their tongue (or make a face, or laugh). It's a nervous reaction.

In Alizee's case, one might expect that she would be accustomed to being photographed and so wouldn't be nervous in front of a camera. But, after all, she is human. Besides, I don't recall seeing her do this during a performance. Seems like it's always in those off moments that she does it. (Correct me if I'm wrong about that -- I haven't conducted a thorough examination of all existing Alizee tongue tapes!) Maybe when the camera's pointing at her, she feels like she should be performing, and, not quite sure what to do, she feels a little nervous and so sticks out her tongue. I'm speculating here. I don't really know Alizee's personality/psychology well enough to tell if that's what is actually going on ... but, on the surface at least, it seems plausible to me. And that explanation makes Alizee seem more human, to my mind. Sometimes we seem to forget that Alizee is a normal human being, subject to the same weaknesses that we are. Maybe she even gets nervous sometimes! :eek:

So, perhaps, when Alizee shows us her tongue, she is, inadvertently, showing us that she's one of us.

Of course one of it's purpose is to release nervousness. And sometimes just to joke with them. She doesn't like being in front of cameras. She is shy, she's uncomfortable in front of cameras when she has nothing to do. But when she starts to perform, she suddenly becomes unaware of them. She falls into her little world where she isn't nervous, the music gets her, and the performing which she loves to do.

And sticking out tongue isn't her only expression. It's only the most common. And reason why it's the most common is simple, she loves fée clochette. She collects it, she wears it, she imitates it ! It's as important to her as she is to us ! She's fan de fée clochette ! She IS fée clochette !

Dude you almost made me LOL. It was so hard to keep quite! I already tried showing it to some of my peers and to no prevail, mostly all of them said they've seen it already. That ruined my fun. As for the physcho-analyzation - all the reasons above and then some plus all the reasons below .
It depends on the individual tongue-ing per say . Most of them i find like the animated gif i made are
her reaction to a camera-person in awe . You can easily tell it's like ga ga ga giggity goo - tongue .
Her ability to look through the camera to the person behind it as well alot of the waves and points
captured on cam ( as in audience interaction ) are one of those most special Alizée-ness so loved .
