they were looking up 'alizee' more than 'moi lolita' i suspect

2005 hit and people heard of moi lolita and started looking that up

When did WoW come out? Maybe all those gamers were looking for the original night elf dance?

It's around when the En concert came out (October 2004)...

its definently WoW.
5 million players. probably 95% of the players are guys, and they probably all went to search for the female night elf dance and found alizee.

I was thinking that too, especially when I reread the thread and all the top cities were in France. Not sure how popular WoW was in France but would assume the French would propably have recognized the dance anyway and not searched for it. Or at least would know about Alizée and would not have needed to search for her.

And they wouldn't have searched for "moi..Lolita" but for "J'en Ai Marre" :)

I think what you are seeing is when she got pregnant, and when she had her baby. Im sure there were news stories and tabloid articles about it.

I'm leaning towards Brad's assessment.

Look at the charts from June 2006 & number of active subscribers. WoW has 52.9% market share in MMO! (www.mmogchart.com)

Then in the last South Park spoof of WoW, they mentioned 7 million players! http://www.younewb.com/index.php/2006/10/05/full-video-of-new-wow-south-park-episode/

This is getting too complex to understand now. I hate statistics. Can we keep this out of our discussion please.
