Talk about a casual approach -- food, a glass of wine, bottled water, a very casual shirt and a ponytail. Picture's a bit blurry but it doesn't look like she's wearing a lot of makeup either. It's all good, I'm glad she's being relaxed.

Off-topic, but did anyone else hear that her father's account was banned from Facebook? It's absurd -- he published pictures of a woman who was naked from the waist up, in poses that didn't show her breasts but you could see she wasn't wearing a top, and someone complained. Being a rebellious Corsican, he refused to bow to the forces of puritanical imbecility (or the jealousy of another photographer as the case may be) and re-published the same photos after they were suppressed. I heard about this from Sylvie Lezier, another Corsican photographer.

Jung is right. During one of the events in Russia, I figured that either Alizee herself or her security team was afraid that RMJ had been too addictive to control himself.

For example, you could say to her:
Could I borrow 200 francs for bus fare? You'll get it back!
and then tell us how she reacts and what she says. Possibilities include the following:

1. Sorry, the previous twenty fans asked the same thing and I have no more money to spare.
2. Sorry, I only have Euros now and they are in my other purse.
3. I only lend money to people after whom I chase.
4. Oh my God! That reminds me... I forgot to pay him back!
5. I think you would enjoy watching some of my new videos.
6. I am too tired to think of a new answer.

Whatever she says, you could admit you were only making a joke. Then you could tell her you read about her trip to New York City in 2000 and how she kept a smart card from the metro/subway as a souvenir. You could tell her that she obviously enjoys collecting transportation money and present her a small gift - the type of coin ("token") used in the metro/subway when Edie Sedgwick lived in New York City. You can get them on eBay for not much money and she can wear them on a charm bracelet if she likes. Thanks for the awesome vids MA! RMJ's vid shows that there was a quite a bit of people there since you saw people at the end when she was leaving. And in the earlier one MA posted one can see there were quite a bit of flashes going on...which is always a good thing. Shows their is some buzz around her CD....

Me not going to this event may have been a mistake. There were a couple reasons I didn't go. First of all, the expense. My recent promotion efforts, plus some medical bills, and bills for getting my truck fixed, have really combined to make it kind of foolish financially to go back so soon. Especially if I want to go back in the fall if there is a concert.

Second of all. There was something about going back to gay Paree, that didn't quite appeal to me. If you know what I mean, nudge, nudge say no more.

Though it probably would have made for a good story over there. But would it have any affect on my promotion efforts here. At the least, it might make her realize she does have fans here and making some type of brief appearence on a show here, might be worth a shot, but that's probably a just a pipe dream.

In hindsight, I wish I had gone.

No it wasn't just wanting to get another opportunity to see her. I think this could've been another great opportunity to promote this forum and to make her realize she does have a number of fans in this country.

This would have been going on at the same time the radio ads were running in Boston, which I think would've made for a good story if we could have gotten a French media outlet interested which I think would have been easy to do.

Making up 50 dvds to give away at the open house at the French cultural center in Boston, that I never really gave it serious thought. There was so much stuff that I was behind in, in my personal life, that I didn't realize what a great opportunity this was until it was too late.

Well, I also think that many of the people who got CDs before were new to Alizée. That and the fact that it was only a few months ago and was the first for a new album means that you might not have been able to even get as many people interested in getting another signing on the same CD. When one does multiple autograph signings like this, one assumes that the vast majority of people coming to it are people who were not at the last one.

Sure, I went to Mexico 3 months after going to France to just get an autograph from Alizée because I was so in love with the idea of meeting her and being near her. I wished to be able to go see her every 3 months or so. But, generally people are not so eager even for big stars who are giving concert performances. Point is, the one thing turned out well and that's great, but you would probably have to wait for another more unique opportunity anyway to have it be so special. I think it was natural that you would not again fly to France for the second event.
