So I'm bored and punching in destinations into Yahoo travel and get a major shock.

Pittsburgh to Paris $750 and from Paris to Ajaccio $216 for a total of $966 round trip. :)

When I plugged in Pittsburgh to Ajaccio it comes back "are you ready"
$4168 round trip.

Yep someone needs to look take another look at the software for this little on line program.

that's just how shit works... plus I don't even think Corsica can (or needs to) accept international planes...

Anyway you do it you have to change planes in Paris, Marseilles or Nice to a small jet or turbo prop to fly into Ajaccio.

Seems they fixed the software problem and new rate is $1,897 :(

Still higher than other travel sites like Expedia which is quoting a little under $1,000.

I bet you'd save money if you roadtrip to Corsica with Wasabi, Azhiri, and myself.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to put off my trip until the summer of 2012. :(

I've had it with my neighbors and I'm going to start looking for a new place after the first of the year. I haven't decided on whether I will just move to another apt complex or buy a townhouse. My lease is up at the end of June and prime time on Corsica is mid June through mid September.

On top of that I'm planning on getting my vision surgically corrected this spring-summer. Of course with my luck I have to be a difficult patient and Lasik isn't an option. If it was I could swing a Corsica vacation no problem.

I have to get what they call a Lensectomy done. It's the same thing they do for people with cataracts. Surgery with the standard mono-vision lenses is $4,800 and of course the new multi-focal lenses I want are $9,400. Since it is considered elective surgery I'm pretty sure my health insurance will not cover it. :(
