although we haven't been able to hear the whole thing yet, I think this is an amazing duet. Alain definitely knew he wanted the song electrified and I agree that the best voice choice was Alizée's. The chorus is just so awesome and Alizée's voice just adds a whole 'nother dimension to the whole thing. Amazing...

The voices are fine but I don't like the song either. I do notice that over the last few years that Alizee's voice has gotten higher, it used to be lower. Just listen to this new song or any of her recent songs and compare them to "Moi Lolita", "La Isle Bonita", or pretty much any other of the earlier songs she performed. Although I do prefer the earlier Alizee, of course, I still like the current one.

Not keen on the rather flimsy electro arrangement - Chamfort's own version was more catchy - but there must be great kudos for Alizée in a collaboration with a one-time musical associate of a legend like Serge Gainsbourg. As already commented above, the low register of her voice towards the end is a tingling reminder of what she is really capable of as are the other cheeky little trills she does in a couple of places . . .
