Jeez, 69 Euros is a little (lot) steep for me. I don't think I can justify spending over $85 alone on the product, let alone shipping which I imagine pushing it way into the hundreds...

It was pushing the boundaries for sure, but I did it. Looks like I'm 226th. But, if I remember correctly, the UEDS box set was around $140 after all was said and done, so this wasn't as bad. About $117. I'm liking where this album is headed as far as sound goes, so no guilt here. :)

Took me forever to get the order through. It keep kicking me back to the first page and when I went forward it added on another unit to my cart. When I clicked to adjust the order it gave me the old 404 page BS. I was up to six box sets on Firefox before I switched over to Explorer and the site let me change the order back to one. Well I finally got it ordered after 30 minutes of frustration, order number 227. 96.16€ with shipping to the states.

With the Euro continuing to tank, it might not be too bad on the exchange rate by October. We could see $1.05 per Euro to maybe 1 to 1 by then.

The VAT doesn't apply to international orders outside of the E.U..

I can't complete my order. It says there is a problem processing my payment, validating my card is impossible. I use this card all the time, especially when I have bought stuff from France. :(

Edit: Never mind. I just received a call from my credit card's fraud Dept. and they had blocked it. After I informed them that it was OK, they let it go through.

My guess is they haven't started production yet and they will make as many as they need right after the ordering period is over. But it's only a guess on my part.

Also I think it's cute that the box comes with an Alizee temporary tattoo (at least I think that's what it is, maybe it's one of those sample pictures for a real tattoo you can get). The autographed mirror also sounds really nice.

Sadly, as much as I said the minute a limited edition collectors box comes out I would buy it...I just can't justify spending any more than a CD every few months or so. T would just sit on my shelf...and look...quite feminine. I'm pretty sure FireFox did an update early this afternoon. I had to run to the bank for work and shut down my computer. When I got back all was well once I restarted it back up. I was getting an expanded AAM front page, text only with no pictures before the restart. I'm betting all of us FireFox users got the same update and hadn't restarted our computer to finalize the installation, thus creating the problems we had trying to order from Sony France.

I hope Sony is taking note on the number of U.S. addresses that are popping up on these orders.

I am #362 ... poop!!!! I paid $117.76 ... the USD to EUROS changed in value by 44 cents since your purchase... curses!... I paid using Fire Fox and I have a separate online "bill pay" account that I transferred money into before making the purchase. This is my "fraud protection" account provided by my bank. I love it! The money went through right away, just like a debit card!

I just might go buy another one... hmmmm... :)

Why would you automatically pay them ten weeks before the release? They're normally not going to charge your account until they ship. I pre-ordered her last Special Box set and they didn't bill my card until the week they shipped.

Does anybody know if, when your card gets flagged for fraud and you clear that up, you have to make the order again?

I told my bank it was not fraud and now the charge is listed as "pending" and I have not heard any more from my bank clarifying the transaction or Sony saying that my order went through.

Call your bank. If it is cleared up you're okay. The bank usually freezes suspicious payments without entirely canceling them until they get definitive notice from the car holder. If anything your payment just got delayed with Sony... no biggie... you can try calling Sony to be sure as well.. call the US number.

I am actually using $$$ from things that I sold on eBay to pay for my Alizée CD!... you should try selling stuff on eBay. It's never too late!

I sold my computer keyboard and mouse... but of course I have another... lol!... And I sold some other things I don't use. Like a TI-83 calculator, my car's factory speakers and factory radio that I had replaced, and an unopened box set DVD of Star Wars episodes 3-6 remastered from 2004...

Alizée is worth it!!!!

I went through the process and when I'd click on my basket, I'd get a 404 error. I went back and tried it again, same thing but it was showing I had a total of 2. At this point I figured I'd go ahead and order and get one for myself, but again got the 404 message. I tried it twice more, this time using other translators to translate the page. The third time I got the 404 message again. Tried it one last time, before I clicked on the basket, it was showing I had 4 now, with the total price around 270 euros. I finally was able to click on the basket successfuly, but then they had a page asking for all your information.

I was a little nervous at this point, thinking I wouldn't be able understand the page well enough and I might get stuck with 4, so I caved. I told the other member, but he had been by that time figured it out, so it's a good thing I gave up. I might have been stuck with 4.

69 euros doesn't include shipping charge. It would around 95 euros including shipping charge for you, I guess.

There is no English version, but most of the required parts are in English. So even you directly go to the site (http://alizee.sonymusic.fr/?utm_source=site_officiel&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=FR_D2C_Alizee_juillet2012) and proceed further you won't face any issue.

Last time for example, after a blizzard hit the Northern Virginia area, I shoveled snow with a friend to pay for my UEDS box. That blizzard was a true blessing, idk if I would have been able to pay for it otherwise, plus no school for two weeks!! :D:D:D

Of course with that one, I know what it means, but I will give it another shot, especially now that I know how to cancel those addtitional cds , tonight, if I'm not too busy when I get to work.

I'm with Scruffy on this one (even though he caved and used an excuse to buy one for himself anyway :) ). I don't like these collector's editions which sort of takes advantage of the rabid fans. And a hat box? Hey Alizee, you have male fans too! ;)

From a practical standpoint, I have a feeling the album is not going to be sold in the U.S. for awhile and it'll be sold strictly as an import to her U.S. fans. So the CD alone is going to be $35 for us unless we can get Scruffy to make a trip to France and bring back a crate of them for us. :)

I just wish Alizee would stop crapping on her American fans. She should send some personal greetings instead of ignoring us. Even show up on this forum for a personal chat session. :(

All I can say is that I successfully ordered using Firefox. As I said before, the only problem I had was with my credit card company. They called me while I was still online trying to place my order. I verified that the attempted purchase was legitimate and then they told me I might have to submit the order again for it to go through. Heads up for those of you in America making a purchase.

My bank just blind-sided me with an International bank fee charge of $1.72 today. Granted, the fee was small, but it was also delayed about a week from when I made the original purchase. I could of had an insufficient funds fee if I didn't have anything in my account. And now I have to adjust the balance on my check book.

I was just browsing Alizée's store and noticed they have added a 'button' up top on the right on some pages that will change the text to English. I logged in and looked at my order and info, and you might have to click the English again for each page. Not everything gets translated though. It would also make it easier for you if you call your credit card company before you submit the order and tell them you are going to be making an unusual purchase, then it will just go through and you'll get your confirmation.

A box with a cd in it...is a box with a cd in it. Saying its limited, collectors, special doesn't matter in the end, because the ability to resell stuff like this for a profit, let alone breaking even, is VERY hard to do. So just be happy that its coming out :D

Well, it could be good sign though. May be it was selling better than they anticipated that they decided to create another one (gray) for the "collectors." And since they changed the color/appearance of the new box, then the black one, (if they still ship it to those who pre-ordered them by the 21st of September deadline, would still be considered as "limited edition."

Probably few will use it for hats. It's only about 8.75 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall. :)

Yeah, what I mean is that it doesn't really matter if the box itself is a fancy looking thing. We bought it with the contents in mind, so as long they're good, the container's looks shouldn't be a real concern.
