Snatcher and RMJ, do you have a translation of that video already?
I'll do it myself if there's not one yet. Thanks.

He seems very shy too, so much that he looks a bit like an idiot at 1:39 :D. Baffie's joke was hard though
Ardisson's shows are sometimes very hard for his guests but he did a great favor to Jérémy at the end of the vid, probably because he saw he really wasn't at ease! :D
Don't remember who translated it (forgot to write down). I'll check out later. It's someone on AF anyways.
And it's not the whole interview anyways... So, if you wanna do proper translation, go ahead. :)
Gotta see if the original thread has better.
Oh the host said about how he saw Alizée on "graines de star" (?) When she was 15 and she was great and whooosh Mylène got her.
Is she happy with her career with Mylène?
Yes!
How is she (Alizée)?
She's doing fine.
How is marriage?
Good.
Regret it?
no!
Happy?
Yes
Little Anny Lee?
Super!
And you play mother (poupon)?
Yes.
Then I get a bit lost. Jeremie isn't the clearest of speakers!
I think he said they have a nanny....
So really he doesn't tell us anything! Very Happy
I'm sure somebody else could come up with a better summary! ;)

That's not much indeed!
As usual, I'm going to PM my English version to garçoncanadien so he can improve it before I post it here...
[Jérémy] Ben ça me ferait pas trop plaisir, haha...
[Thierry Ardisson is the producer of "Graines de Stars"]
[Thierry] Oui haha, oui d'accord...
[Jérémy] Ha! haha.. ah c'est dur, hahahaha
[Girl (?)]
[excerpt of "Variétés françaises"]
English:
[Thierry Ardisson] I'm gonna tell you something, Jérémy, I am charmed.
[Jérémy] Thank you
[Thierry] I am charmed by the sound,...
[Jérémy] Yeah
[Thierry] ...by the lyrics, by your face, by the way you carry yourself
[Jérémy] Thank you
[Thierry] I am charmed.
[Jérémy] Well that's great, thank you
[Thierry] Yeah really...
[Applause]
[Thierry] No no, we're not going to talk about the "Star Ac" again, it's over. Alizée, we're not gonna dwell over Alizée
[Jérémy] No, but it's not over, eh?
[(Don'tKnowWho)] Why aren't we gonna lay over Alizée? [wordplay impossible in English "to dwell over" and to "lay over" sounds the same in French and that guy doesn't miss the joke...]
[Jérémy] Well it wouldn't please me too much, haha...
[Thierry] You know I'm the one who gave her her start... [Thierry Ardisson is the producer of "Graines de Stars"]
[Jérémy] I know, yeah
[Thierry] ...you know that?
[Jérémy] And she knows too
[Thierry] When I saw her arriving... shit! I almost died...
[Jérémy] Me too
[Thierry] Oh la la... It was at "Graines de Stars"
[Jérémy] Yeah, she was 15
[Thierry] Yeah, I called everybody the day after to say "we must produce her at all costs", and it's Mylène Farmer, shwishhh, who caught her
[Jérémy] Yeah
[Thierry] Voila
[Jérémy] Good for her.
[Thierry] She's happy with her career with Mylène, yeah?
[Jérémy] Yeah yeah
[Thierry] good...
[playing "Moi..Lolita"]
[Thierry] How is she doing, right now?
[Jérémy] Fine
[Thierry] It's fine. So you married in Las Vegas?
[Jérémy] Yeah yeah yeah... Yeah.
[Thierry] It was cool?
[Jérémy] Great
[Thierry] On a whim?
[Jérémy] Yeah yeah yeah yeah.
[Thierry] And you don't regret it?
[Jérémy] Ah no!
[Thierry] You're happy?
[Jérémy] No far from it yeah [still replying to "you don't regret it?"]
[Thierry] And little Anny-Lee, she's fine?
[Jérémy] Great
[Thierry] You play mother, don't you?
[Jérémy] Absolutely
[Thierry] What do you do, you wake up at night to give her the baby bottle and all?
[Jérémy] No, well no, and at her age no...
[Thierry] Watch out, ah yeah. Watch out, that's not very "rock and roll" anyway...
[Jérémy] Ah in any case, that's not a problem if it's "rock and roll" or not, but for a one year old, you don't wake up at night anymore, or it's gonna be a problem
[Thierry] Yes haha, yes ok...
[Laurent Baffie] After one year, you can already put her in "la DDASS" [la DDASS is a social institute where abandoned children are sent, also where children whose parents are declared unable/incompetent to take care of them go]
[Jérémy] Ha! haha.. ah that's hard, hahahaha
[Girl (?)] It's disgusting
[Thierry] You wanna know something Jérémy?
[Jérémy] Yeah?
[Thierry] I had prepared an interview that wasn't nice
[Jérémy] Yeah?
[Thierry] finally, I'm not going to do it.
[Jérémy] So thank you then...
[Thierry] I preferred to listen to a bit of your song

thanks aFrenchie and garconcanadien, those subs are perfect. :)
i will stick them on the video and post it as an example
In what format is those subtitles ? FFDShow atleas doesn't recognize it and couldn't show them.
I used Subtitle Workshop to change them to Sub Rip format and they works fine.
I suggest you use the Sub Rip format, too, in future, since it's pretty much standard in subtitles.
Here is the same titles but in Sub Rip format:
Jeremy - 2006-03-11 - Interview - Tout Le Monde En Parle.rar (www.3rdw.net/alizee/subtitles/Jeremy - 2006-03-11 - Interview - Tout Le Monde En Parle.rar)

Cool translation :-) Indeed, that is a nice favor the host does at the end, avoiding the hard-charging interview, whatever it was.
Interesting tidbit they do toss in there, which may answer some folks asking why they bothered flying all the way to Vegas to get married. They just did so on a whim :-) I've said it before and I've said it again - lucky lucky man. Good thing he's a nice guy, eh?

yeah SubRip is pretty much the standard. VobSub and ffdshow both will read .srt files.
Great, I removed my version to avoid conflicts. :)

When was this filmed? Cause I couldn't help but notice the audience really got into Lili's song...Kinda touched my heart
march 11 2006 (from RMJ's excellent naming conventions)
Don't know when it was shot but it was shown on TV 11th of March, 2006.
Most likely shot few days before.

Thanks for the translation and subs guys. :)
I wonder what Jerry means here:
"[Thierry] When I saw her arriving... shit! I almost died...
[Jérémy] Me too"
Since I assume Thierry is talking about her arrival at Graines de Stars... You know, I always wonder what Jérém thought of Alizée between 2000 and 2003, when she was a star and he was still just a normal school-kid.

Don't know when it was shot but it was shown on TV 11th of March, 2006.
Most likely shot few days before.
The 11th of March was a Saturday, so it's correct since "Tout le monde en parle" was broadcast that day of the week (Ardisson stopped this show last June to create a new one on another channel since September). But this show was NOT live, so it was probably recorded in that week: between the 6th and the 10/11th of March...
I wonder what Jerry means here:
"[Thierry] When I saw her arriving... shit! I almost died...
[Jérémy] Me too"
Either he means he saw her too in "Graines de Stars" that very day, either he isn't thinking about that and just reply about when he saw Alizée for the first time. The show clearly makes him nervous, you never know how Ardisson is going to eat you if he's not fond of your work, especially true for politicians or writers, but also for singers, actors, etc... I really like this guy (Ardisson) for that. He won't necessarily suck his guests' ass, and celebrities make a real challenge to go there and of course take benefit of his large audience. Surprisingly, he's been very nice with Jérémy and as you can see here:
http://varietesfrancaises.blogspot.com/2006/03/1er-semaine.html
it's been very appreciated: :D
"thierry ardisson a été vraiment cool! et ca , ca fait plaisir...", meaning "thierry ardisson has been really cool! and that, that was a pleasure..."
About the March 11th date, I don't know about it myself, but here's where it comes from:
http://www.mf-international.com/viewtopic.php?p=93021
Posted on March 12th, and Touch says "yesterday."
Either he means he saw her too in "Graines de Stars" that very day, either he isn't thinking about that and just reply about when he saw Alizée for the first time.
Yeah, I wonder which... I dunno why, but I always wonder what Jérémy thought of Alizée during that time when she was famous and he wasn't yet. We do know what Alizée thought of him before they met, because she commented in one interview that he was her favorite contestant on the new season of Star Ac'! :)
And yeah, I've seen Thierry chew out some guests, it can be brutal! Jérém is a lucky man... funny how he can sometimes be so shy, though, yet be able to do things on stage like drop his pants or all that Star Ac' silliness.

Yes, the date is correct. I know it. :)
And yes, it was shot few days before. But the broadcast days is 11th.
It was re-broadcasted 2 weeks later here in Finland on cable channel, like they always does for TLMEP show. It's the only Jerem interview I have seen on TV. :) (since I have only one "French" channel... TV5 Monde Europe)

You sometimes watch(ed) TLMEP or you just knew that Jérémy was a guest that day? (I guess you can't catch fast spoken French)
And yeah, I've seen Thierry chew out some guests, it can be brutal!
Same question, although I'm sure you can catch a lot of the meanings now that you're learning in Paris...
Same question, although I'm sure you can catch a lot of the meanings now that you're learning in Paris...
Well because I follow a lot of French artists, not just Alizée, I've seen clips of the show before, sometimes with translations or summaries.
You sometimes watch(ed) TLMEP or you just knew that Jérémy was a guest that day? (I guess you can't catch fast spoken French)
I have TV5 on every now and then. :) Basically it's the only channel I watch on TV (well, ok, I watch Euronews and BBC World, too). Tho, I don't really watch it but let it play on background while doing other things.
But I knew Jerry's interview was gonna be on since I saw this video before it and checked the date from their website.
There's also some other shows I watch from it, like "Acoustic". Mostly the shows where you can see music guests and performances. :)
And yea, I can't catch fast spoken French really... I can only catch words here and there and guess some meanings of phrases. But it really depends on the person talking. But I love to listen it anyways, since French sounds so good in my ears. :)

That's kind of interesting how we switches back and forth between French and English in his writing. He did that a couple times over on his blog that was linked as well. With a Swiss site, it's a fair bet they speak both English and French (and a couple other languages as well), but still an unusual characteristic in writing. "We prepare something" is not exactly a pop-phrase I would expect to be standard usage across cultures. I mean, how many Americans would understand "Nous préparons quelque chose" if written?
madraven

I mean, how many Americans would understand "Nous préparons quelque chose" if written?
If you mean North Americans probably quite a few, however, I would imagine it would be considerably less if you just mean from the USA.
Obviously American refers to the USA.
But I believe that Jeremy uses English when he wants to put some weight on the words. Kinda typical behavior.
I do, too, when talking in Finnish. Tho, usually it's because I have forgotten the Finnish word. :p

Sorry your right I hadn't read it that closely, understood the French except for what DDASS was, so I googled it and after reading a quick description understood basically what it was. I just stuck the English comment about Health and Welfare in quickly in as an afterthought just in case other people couldn't understand what Direction Départementale des Affaires Sanitaires et Sociales meant. But I will read future translations more carefully in case there are more grey coloured comments. :) And yes Baffie made the original joke which was also funny, but when I watched the video again after brad's post I just loved the girl's disaproving 'C'est dégueulasse', which I think is what most women would have thought about the comment while most men would have probably laughed, since it was only a joke, like Jérémy did. Might just be though that I'm just used to hearing 'C'est écœurant' instead for 'that's disgusting/terrible'.
