On Accès Privé a segment on Alizée aired today. It has updated clips of Alizée and seems to be a review on her career of some sort. We've seen many segments on her like this before especially during the Psych and UEDS eras.

Anyone willing to make subtitles?

If translations / subtitles are made, don't put them in SubRip format yet, because the same show will air on television on the 28th of october (not 100% sure yet). The television rip will probably be of higher quality, and times may be inconsistent with this clip because the framerates might be different. This livestream rip is just a low quality "preview" :P

But it's never too early to start translating!

I don't have any time, righ now, but I want to say it's the first "deep" report on her for years.

And, without really understanding what they were saying, it looked reasonably thorough. :)

They mentioned her relationship with Jeremy. Did they mention the separation?

I'd love a translation, but I think I already understand the tone of the video. People kept calling her "lolita."

In the interview Alizée was talking about being a young mother, and then the narrator interrupts, "This baby, the young singer had it with her husband, Jérémy Châtelain..." Nothing about a separation. The only other time he was mentioned was during the MJ music video "....un titre composé par Jérémy Châtelain."

This was quite a project, but here's what I've been doing for the past week instead of studying for exams....

English subtitles for the report! Enjoy.

Oh wow, nice job!

Do you have the subtitles in plain text / subrip format by any chance?

I don't know what subrip format is, but no I don't have the English subtitles in plain text. All I have typed up is a French transcript of the whole thing.

OMGZZ!!1

Great job, and thanks! For all I know it's all wrong :p I had pretty much decided I'd never know what that program was about.

Interesting thing at the end, about the reason for the album delay. I wonder how accurate that information is.

Very interesting, I liked it. Made me feel bad for her, though.

Oh ok, doesn't matter really :)

Subrip is a file with the .srt extension. It's used by most media players to show subtitles underneath a video. The advantages are that you can disable the subtitles, and the filesize is really small.

Ahh ok. Well this was the first time I've ever attempted to do subtitles and I really didn't know the best way to go about it.

What an excellent and accurate expose for Alizee's 5th album. It appears that at least this particular media presentation was very sensitive to a positive and accurate representation of Alizee's career to date.Thanks again:bow:

great job texasguy, thank you very much for the translation!

Interesting review of Alizee's career.
Poor Alizee, trying to get rid of the lolita image, but the french public only knows her as lolita...

Really good job texasguy! I've done a lot of translating myself over the past few years, of songs and interviews and in everyone there is always a line or two or in the case of this long report, there must have been several lines, that are just tremendously difficult to convey their English meaning, yet you were able to do it through out the whole report. Like I said, great job!

No problem guys.

You're right Scruffy, there were lots of things in this report that I either didn't understand, or just couldn't get to make sense in English. Luckily I have a good friend from Paris who helped me out tremendously with this, and I feel pretty good with what we came up with.

Hey texasguy, am I allowed to make a subtitle file out of your subtitles (.srt, aka subrip)? I will give you full credits for the subtitles of course.

I'll sync the subs for both the livestream- and HDTV rip by CJPavel.

The files can be translated to any language afterwards.

Ok, the subtitle rip is almost finished.

The parts with *PLACEHOLDER* still need translation, so if anyone is willing to translate them (10 total, I believe), I'd be very graful ;). If you see any errors, feel free to correct them.

In order to view subtitles, you will need a video player that supports subtitles (VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/), for example).
The filename of the subtitle file needs to match the filename of the video file (except the extension, obviously).

You can download the .srt file here (https://www.dropbox.com/s/tzakqikid3udfw9/Aliz%C3%A9e%20-%20Acc%C3%A8s%20Priv%C3%A9%20-%20Celebre%20Le%20200eme%20Episode%20De%20La%20Ser ie%20NCIS%20%2825-18-2012%20Stream%20Rip%29.srt).

The matching video can be downloaded here (https://rapidshare.com/files/2194161996/Aliz%C3%A9e%20-%20Acc%C3%A8s%20Priv%C3%A9%20-%20Celebre%20Le%20200eme%20Episode%20De%20La%20Ser ie%20NCIS%20(25-18-2012%20Stream%20Rip).mp4).

In order to edit the .srt file, you will need to open it with notepad. Then you will be able to edit the times and text.

Format is like this:

1
00:00:00,200 --> 00:00:03,800
This is a line.
- This is another line spoken by someone else.

2
00:00:00,200 --> 00:00:03,800
Another line goes here.

Never add more than 2 lines, and don't make the text too long.

This should never happen:

1
00:00:00,200 --> 00:00:03,800
This is a line.
- This is another line spoken by someone else.
And this is yet another line.

2
00:00:00,200 --> 00:00:03,800
This line is so friggin' long it will use multiple lines of text on smaller screens...

I will sync the subtitles for the HD rip as soon as this one is finished, because the HD rip is missing small parts.

PS: The .srt character encoding is utf-8. It's not important, but could be useful to some people.
