I had to look up those names on the director's board. It will be interesting to find out what works they have credit for. I took a quick look and it wont be the legendary stuff of Laurent Boutanant, but we'll have to see what these guys have got.

It was funny to see the i pad style of a director's board.

I guess with the type of background they are using, the images will be superimposed over something else. With Delord's background, will it be animation?

It is so great to see "confirmation" that they are working hard on this album.
One thing I may not like at this point is if this video does not involve animation and involves true life scenes, seeing how it was filmed may take away from the final product if you know beforehand how it was filmed. Take for example the video L'Alize, the video was good, and I enjoyed seeing afterwards how it was filmed, but if I had seen the how video first, knowing how they had lifted her through the air or how they had created the bubbles would have taken away from the finished product. I'd much rather see a how video come out, some time after the main video.

So I like to see pictures from the studio, but don't give away too much.

I also have to add that the great image of her in that white dress is totally destroyed by the tats. It looks like they are trying to create a beautiful picture, but they made the mistake of not hiding this crap and all the work of putting her in a pretty white dress, of giving her a nice hair stlye, of putting make up on her, of putting her in a picturesque setting with the leaves is a complete waste of time. They don't realize this is not the Alizee of the early 2000s who captivated people with her beauty. Well she can be if they cover up those tats like they did with the rain coat, but after viewing the video that was released (ACDLA), whether officially or unofficially, I seriously doubt that. That's one area I'm totally disappointed with Sony in. People love beauty; whether it is beauty in music, in voice, in physical beauty, in scenery, in a story or in a personality. She has a tremendous amount of just about everything, but it "all" goes down the toilet when you see those stupid images.

Sony!!!!! Don't waste your time putting her in picturesque settings. It's a thing of the past.

Sorry, but I have to agree with Scruffy on this one. When I saw that picture of her in the white dress and the braid, my eyes immediately went to the tattoos. THEN I saw how gorgeous she looked.

I dont take you your opinions... but to start everywhere on everything, which happen with Alizee, how the tattoos destroy it... its much for me, everywhere to read the same... this is about clip tournage, and not how tattoos make world horrible

you have here X threads about tattoos, it is such problem to talk about them there? I dont destroy the luck to see its happening something again with prepairing new things?

-shrug- I've gotten used to the tattoos. My eyes went from her braid, to her face, to the dress, then I went "I wonder if they did anything to hid the tats..." THEN I saw them. I actually had to look to notice them.

I don't think they will really affect her that much. I'm sure her core fan base will focus on them, but I have a feeling her goal here is to gain new fans since she has emphasized that the new album will be more "accessible". My prediction is that the new fans won't care and that the core fan base WILL care, but will still buy the album anyway because she is Alizee.

Anyway, I'm excited for the video. She looks great in all of these shots and it looks like this will be a nice, professional shoot. Yaaay :)

On the positive side, I think this theme fits the song much better. The other video was just way too low budget. So, I think things are really looking up. I think they've switched some people in charge and it appears that she has a producer that actually believes in her now.

It makes me wonder what happened along the way. The song first came out had a horrible begining, then the video came out whether officially or unofficially and they chopped off that begining part, but the video didn't tell much of a story and they are changing it. So I think one of two things happened, as I've said before, I think more people became involved with this at Sony; people who realized after the fact that both the song and the video needed work, or it could be a case where they are actually listening to her fans. I find that hard to believe, but it's possible. I doubt if they'd listen to her American fans, just because of the language difference, but maybe AF?

I'm glad to see that it looks like a serious effort this time. Using a studio with effects and even a real camera. I hope Galak is in it somehow, I'd love to see him action.

It seems to me that she is aware of the effects her tattoos can have in different situations, like in the photos for the Alain Chamfort album. I think they have demographics on her expected audience for the new album and they may feel that tattoos aren't going to affect the majority of that audience. Maybe it will energize them, though I can't really imagine that. I think that the target audience consists of French people in her age group, and not Americans in mine. Why are the first two public appearances in clubs? Who appears with her in all the fan photos from these appearances? And like Azhiri said, the old guard fans will buy the album no matter what. Money in the bank. (They've had mine almost 4 months.) The new fans might only fileshare anyway. :fear:

Good point. Having 2 videos, 1 happy and 1 darker, keeps consistent with the whole theme of the song. The dark lyrics signify an end, but the happy tune signifies a new beginning :)

I think this video was much better then the first. Very creative! And she does look quite lovely :wub:

This coupled with the recent photo shoots, I think could be some very good promo for the album.

ChartsInFrance.net received it very well, when they usually dont like her stuff. So hopefully that is a sign of things to come :) we should know soon enough though since she'll be played on the radio in the next few days and be doing at least one radio interview i know of.

Haha.. well you will also notice many of the close up shots in the new ACDLA video are also mirrored making her hair look as though it's brushed to the otherside. :D

Edit: Btw in regard to the new Alizée video.. did you notice the one lone star in the background around the 0:43 - 0:50 minute mark? It might seem trivial but when it comes to Alizée nothing is trivial. :wub: :wub: :wub:

Sorry to be the 'party pooper' once again but the video is....blah....
Still really like the song but the vid looks like it was made for about 10p, too much of it is in the dark, silhouettes and shadows and the overall effect (for me) is it's just dull and boring?
Was hoping for way better than this after all this time?

I like it a lot, but I wish it wasn't 90% slow motion! It could also do with more camera interaction and maybe some dancing. Maybe for the next single the video will be more action-y.

Yeah, they just decided from the start to do a James Bond Intro song which leads to...a James Bond Intro video which never really has much action...just animations of action scenes like we saw in her music video.

I don't think the song would fit with live-action shots :/

Now that I see the GIF it definitely doesnt look like she is flipping the bird cause you can see she has the lipstick in the other hand.

Jo just decided to not get her holding the lipstick up and only the pocket mirro...leading to a silhouette looking like she is flipping herself off :))

And another maybe, they're saving the dancing for a live performance :13: ( jeam's mv didn't have any dancing in it i think )
I can already see how it would look like, dancers with rain coats and umbrellas and lili dancing a little but like usual she would still look ten times better than the dancers :D
I'd be mad if zée didn't sing it live :(

With only two days of "A Cause del'Automne" premiered only in France and around ... the new video of Alizée has a total of 40.268 reproductions.
Meanwhile her former protector Mylene Farmer with her new video "A L'ombre" with 3 days has a total of: 35.097 views with world premiere ...

Well I've been mulling over what to say about this video and all I'm going to say at this point is this song needed a strong showing with this video and it didn't get it. For myself, I think at some point I will combine elements of this one, the unofficial one and the one put together by Karin which I really enjoyed. Then maybe I might enjoy it enough to watch it once in a while.

The tastes of the French people are so hard to judge, but I don't think they are going to like this, but it's just one song on the album and I'm still very optimistic about the album being a good one.

As far as Mylene Farmer, my recent attempts to get a ticket for Les Enfoires from different ticket agencies has made me realize MF is still very active, hugely popular and hugely successful there. I think what the numbers above show is there are a lot of people out there following Alizee who hope she does well, but they are going to need better than this for Alizee to win the day.

I have a few other things to say, which I will say at some time soon in the appropriate thread...............................nuff said.

All in all, I like the video and I thought it was well done. Personally, I had imagined a much different kind of video when I first heard the song, but I think this version works, and I hope it proves successful for Alizée.

Yeah we now have a James Bond Intro video from Alizée that is in many ways just as good if not better than some of the originals.

Well for as long as I can remember Alizée has expressed a desire to be a James Bond Girl and this song was a great opportunity for her to fulfill atleast part of that desire. She did it her way and I'm sure it means alot to her and that will always make ACDLA that bit more special for me too.

Agree. This video has James Bond feel all over it, not just Skyfall but most especially the older JB movies. Since that's the way they wanted it, I say they did a great job. But, personally, I like the other version because it conveys Alizee's (or the song's) story better. It was a simple but great concept. And with better quality production, it would have been a really nice video.

I agree. I had pictured scenes of her in Paris in autumn with the trees in full color, followed by some of the scenes in Corse. I just thought Paris in the fall would fit the theme of the song better. But either way, I like both videos for the song. They each have their own appeal.

I noticed the Music video for ACDLA is available on the US iTunes, but I still don't see the song itself anywhere. Lili herself has spoken about, and sometimes mentions her US fans...I wonder why we still can get the music on the US ITunes. Her last two albums are not on there either. :(

That I do not know. However, I know people who are musicians, but don't have a record deal or anything, that still have their stuff on iTunes. It seems like its not too hard for a person to get their stuff on iTunes. Which is why it confuses me why a big company like Sony doesn't make the albums available.

I mean, it's money they are missing out on isn't it? An entire market that wants a product that you refuse to make available to them?

I'm surprised that they made all albums available here but not in US. They would certainly gain more from American markets.
