View Full Version : Does anyone here speak Portuguese?
I received an email from someone in what I believe is Portuguese. I tried google translate but it didn't do a very good job. She (Rebecca) did direct me to a website that has a link to our JEAM video on the main page :)

I was hoping some of the Spanish speaking members could help, I'm told Portuguese and Spanish are similar. But if it's anything like French and Spanish then they're not that similar. I can only if given something written in Spanish pick out a few words I recognize because of their similarities to the French words, and even then I am only guessing that they mean the same thing. :)
I can read spanish pretty good, and can't make much out of this. I pm'd it to jeroh, he might be able to see what she was saying... lol

the spanish its very more similar with the portuguese than with the french

My Portuguese is rusty as hell (since I have never really studied it :p ) ... but... Here's rough translation:
Hi Alizeé
I know you from the site www.moun.com and I like the way you dance,
but I don't understand French, yet. I'm 7 years old.
I translated into (Brazilian) Portuguese the name of the song, it's "Já Tenho Bastante" (Goldfish).

"Já Tenho Bastante" = "I've already had enough"
Peixinho Vermelho = "Goldfish" (it's some sort of red fish but obviously referst to our little Poisson Rouge (http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/9152/fishygo3.png). Visual presentation of "Peixinho Vermelho": click ici (http://www.peixinhovermelho.com.br/) )
I believe she wanted to send the message to Alizée. Hopefully Lili sees it here someday...

If that's the case I wonder who was responsible for the link on moun.com, and I wonder how long it's been there, or was there. There was a link to shadow art now when I checked the site again. And how how many languages do you have working knowledge of RMJ?
