It seems like Volkswagen has a penchant for naming its cars after wind. :13:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~felsche/Bernd/trivia/vwcars.html
Scirocco - Hot North African desert wind that blows into Italy.
Golf - Gulf stream winds (a high altitude North-south 100 mmph wind)
Jetta - Jet stream (East/West wind, affecting Pacific air travel)
Passat - Trade winds
Vento - Blowing/windy (E/I)
Polo - Polar winds
Santana - Hot desert blast accross the Sea of Cortez.
Corrado - The VW Corrado Club of Great Britain say it's Spanish for wind
current or Jet Stream. Corrado is derived from the Spanish
verb Correr, which means to Run or to Sprint. The prototype
however, was given the less impressive name of the Typhoon
So, may be we can suggest to them to name its next car "Alizée" (L'alizé" which we all know is a French word for "Trade Wind") :13:

Yeah that's a cool idea but I don't think Alizée is a good name for a VW car. :13:

Aheh, fair enough, given the pictures posted :D
If VW were to name a car after Zée, I'd only accept a new special edition Veyron :D:cool:

To think that there was an AOM plane named Alizee a long time ago... looks like they repainted it before she became famous.

VW makes the engine, the rest of the car is made in france as a tribute to the Le Mans champion Pierre Veyron , bugatti is not the same as VW guys ! They veyrons are made a few miles away from my hometown close to strasbourg : o

The badge on the car is Bugatti, but Bugatti is owned by VW.
Regardless of where which parts of the car is made, the money and the idea to make it came from VW.

Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. is an automobile manufacturer located in Molsheim, Alsace, France. It is owned by the German automobile manufacturing group Volkswagen Group as a subsidiary of Volkswagen France. It was founded in 2000 as a successor to the Bugatti Automobili SpA.Volkswagen Group chairman Ferdinand Piëch announced the Veyron at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show. It was promised to be the fastest, most powerful and most expensive car in history. Instead of the W18, it would use a VR6/WR8-style W16 engine. This is from Bugatti's own website:
http://www.bugatti.com/en/veyron/history-of-development.html
The development of the Veyron 16.4*) is one of the key milestones of 21st-century automotive engineering. Volkswagen CEO Ferdinand Piëch made high demands: the designers were to revive the heritage of Ettore Bugatti with this new super sports car.

If Bugattis are VW , then Lamborghinis and Gumperts are Audis, Minis are BMWs, Alpines are Renaults and so on :)

Knowing her (the way I pretend to), she would drive a French brand. Maybe one of them makes something similar for the JBG? ;)

That's the first thing that came to mind when I saw that picture! And I'm sure one of them would happily design and build her one if she asked, hehe.

But only VW has a habit of naming their cars after the "wind." :13:
