It looks like you can vote every five minutes.

Whoa check put the massive push going on for Alizée. She has gained 8,000 votes on the last 45 minutes. Tal is toast in the next ten minutes. She was ahead by 9000 votes 45 minutes ago and Mylene is going to be caught and passed in the next four or five hours at this rate. :omg:

Edit:

Someone just bought 10,000 votes for Tal. to stay ahead of Alizée :)))

Let me add a real positive note with out the BOOST $2.99 for 10,000 votes on those ahead of her, Alizée is number one on this poll based on regular fan voting.

I'm :))) watching Jenifers people. They are pretty much buying 5K points every five to ten minutes. When I back out the Boost's they only have eight or nine people actually voting for her per five minute cycle. :)

The first 14 Boosts were 10,000 each, the rest are 5,000 each.

She showed 30 Boosts at one point and they were reset now she is showing 17 Boosts at 15K points, again do the math.

At least someone bought 4 15K Boosts for Alizée.

Alizée has this one in the bag. At the rate Jenifer and Victoria's fans are buying votes it's going cost them over 2000€ per singer over the next two weeks. Do you really think the few participants that are really voting are going to put out a hundred or more Euros to keep their singer in front? 2.5€ or $3.00 per Boost and with there fans buying fifty to sixty Boosts per day it is going to get really expensive over the next few days.

If this poll was only going on for only two or three days we wouldn't get close to these two singers but with thirteen more days to go it is going to be a very expensive venture for the other two singers fans.

Anyone else having problems voting? Yesterday I had to clear my cookies and history three or four times to be allowed the privilege of voting for Alizée.

It is now down to having to clear my cookies at least once an hour to get to vote. It keeps popping up a message I'm not authorized to vote. Clear everything and then it allows me to participate again for a period of time before it all starts again.

I think we can pull off that lead on free votes. If we keep at it, the others will be the ones who will have to shell it out.

MF started off slow, but she is now charging through the rest of the pack. With her fan base, she may be tough to hold off. I'll post the latest vote tally so later we can see if she's gaining ground or not.

Alizée------2,341,825
MF----------1,270,850
difference--1,070,975

as of 8:40

Holy crap!

In less than 20 minutes since I posted this, MF gained about 1,300,000 points. Somebody just shelled out about $200 to get her the lead. I guess the only way MF fans can get her a victory in something like this is to buy it. Maybe it was Laurant who bought them.

MF----------2,607,850
Alizée------2,381,975

I have 6 different things I can connect to the internet, but through only 2 portals, my router or my droid razr. It will only accept one vote through either source every 5 minutes.

I guess I had my math wrong on how much it costs to buy points. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like it's $2.99 to buy 35,000 points (or is it 75,000?). At that rate a million points would cost about $29. So whoever shelled out money so Mylene could catch up this morning, probably paid about $40.

It's too bad they don't have one where you couldn't buy points. It looked like Alizée was getting the lion's share of the free votes which surprised me. Hopefully it shows there are a lot more people out there who are pulling for her than we realize.

Yesterday evening I estimated there were 13 people working for Alizée. At that time no one else was getting any votes. So I think Alizée and Sony really underestimate the Americas, north, South, and central.

ALS
09-18-2013, 04:24 PM
Alizée has had her share of boosts also. Not as many as Jenifer or Mylene but enough to make a difference. In this segment Alizée's fans have bought 36 boosts. They reset the boosts every so often so what you see in not always the true total so far. If you click on the boost button of a lower individual say in the forth or fifth position it will show the boosts for those above. I'm pretty sure they only show up for the top five positions.

Ray I'm probably putting on average 10 votes up each hour for over 11 hours during the day. In another two or three hours Jenifer and Mylene's totals will come to almost a stand still for six to eight hours. Their fan base is pretty much limited to western Europe.

I don't know if anybody has bought votes today but two days ago somebody definitely did. She was in third place and jumped to first, I can't remember how many "Weex" she went up, but somebody must have bought them. I think that means that your choice of artist can surpass that particular artist with that many boosts. For example, Alizée would need 6 boosts to surpass Tal, and the lower you go, the higher the amount of boosts your artist would need to get to the top. They are recommending you buy those

If ever, it's more like a bragging rights thing. But, I'm sure most, if not all, of the artists there know about this. So, depending on where they're at, this should make them feel good. Especially Alizee, I'm sure it will give her some confidence going to DWTS, if she wins this!

Right now we are in a pre-selection phase. The 20 candidates with the most votes in this phase move on to the next phase. Then each phase goes for a week, with the last ending December, 1.

Each week, at the time of the reset, the artist who gets the most votes wins a visibility of one week with a display advertising (promotional sign + distribution of a video) on the competition page.

I voted the last few days (not much maybe 30 or so votes) even though I don't usually take part in these things.

Anyway I liked the idea one member here posted a few pages back about it making Alizée atleast feel good about herself. Well I'm more down for buying her cd's, but now it seems this voting thing is just futile anyway, unless we buy votes.

I could only afford 10 euro's but i haven't made my mind up yet on whether I should even bother or not.. I was thinking if a few of us here purchased 10 votes that could boost her some though, but would it be enough?

So what's the deal now? I've never been much good with these things.. do we purchase votes or just vote as when we can and feel a sense of doing something good for our girl whether she wins or not?

37 millions vote for Mylène... now that's just ridiculous. ._.

It is!

It looks to me like Alizée just keeps going steadily along, getting free votes after free votes. Then one of the fans of one of these singers who isn't getting many votes comes along and buys a bunch of votes. It's a joke and as someone else said a great business for the people running it.

I think Alizée will do just fine and her point total will steadily climb and I don't think we should buy any votes until that last day and then "maybe" buy some votes to hopefully seal the deal.

This is the historical pattern. A few die-hard fans for the other singers buy votes, and sometimes they buy enough to win.

In the Alantis days, I used to get a big kick out of seeing Alizée in second place, with zero bought votes, and the rest on the page having over 50% bought votes. :)

Ray4AJ

Please don't buy any votes. It would just be a waste of money. I can't figure out what the prize for Alizée would be anyway. Now that the other artists' fans have started throwing out serious money, they will continue to do so.

I was having fun keeping Alizée in the lead with free votes, but I'll admit it's frustrating when for $3, someone can negate over 2.5 hours of my efforts. On the one hand, if we continue we can show the other fans that we don't have to buy votes and make them continue to, I'd feel great about that. But I'm a little concerned that some Alizée fans will start spending money and I'd feel bad about that, as there doesn't seem to be a prize worth winning for her.

I think it's futile either way. So just vote when you can or when you want to, and we'll see what happens. The top 20 will move on to the next round which will be only a week, and I'm not sure we'll be able to keep her in it after that.

I've voted before in a few one-vote contests for Alizée but not in many. This time I voted many more times than I can count. (I try to guess which captcha is going to come up since there seems to be a finite number of them that are used, and they are used over and over.) When I'm at my desktop in the evenings doing other things it's no big deal. At work I've probably voted more than I should, in fairness to my employer. I probably won't vote as much while working anymore.

And currently each vote is 10,000 weex. Go for it!

I have voted too, but it reminds me of a similar thing that went on a few years back. They also allowed you to buy votes. All the Alizée fan sites worked very hard to vote for Alizée and she ended up winning. As far as I know, very few of her votes were bought. The result was that they put her on their wall of fame on their site, or some BS like that. Nothing came of it and nobody outside the Alizée fan world took notice, except for the angry fans of the other artists who lost. Several months later the site was gone, or at least the part with the voting results. It was fun to participate and watch the votes pile up, especially since Alizée won. But I'm afraid that was the only good that came out of it, the fun of a little competition and the good feeling it gave the fans to stand up and be counted for Alizée.

I haven't researched the site who is running this vote, so I don't know if this vote has any value whatsoever. I also find it distasteful that they would sell votes. As far as I know, they are making money off of the fans and returning nothing of value to the artists. And it's the principle of the thing for me. I think the idea of them selling votes is kind of disgusting. In my opinion, the fact that you can buy votes wipes out any legitimacy this contest would otherwise have.

My take on it is to encourage fans to vote if they want to and if they are enjoying the competition. But I guess I wouldn't recommend that anybody buy votes. I can't help but to feel the fans that are paying are being taken advantage of. And in the end, a victory will be much sweeter if we didn't buy it.

I agree with everything said here. If the top 20 will move on after this, then she's practically guaranteed to move on to the next round, so paying for boosts now wouldn't be in one's best interest, and you probably shouldn't do it at any point. You could spend it on a poster or CD instead. That will probably help her more. In the following rounds is where our votes will count the most :nonstop:

I think we need to keep on voting. I'm not sure if they're going to start "clean" next week. I mean, start from zero vote. If not, then we're going to have a lot of catching up to do. At least, let's keep her within a striking distance. :D

Such voting on such sites is everytime the same... I think the only reason why they do it, they know someone will buy votes and they have easy money.
Like Lefty wrote, one artist will win... and that's all.

Do the math on this one seventeen weeks of competition with Jenifer and Mylenes fans spending roughly sixty dollars a day buying votes. Really folks do you actually think Jenifer's and Mylene's ten or twelve rabid fans are going to spend $7,140 per singer to keep either of those two ahead of Alizée until Jan 12 2014 ?

I agree. The idea here is to plan for the long haul, and not burn out in the first or second efforts. Right now she needs to be in the top 20. She clearly is.

What is more important is to be ready to jump on the next effort, and then the one after that - each time making sure she is well inside the group advancing.

Then, near the end, if we need to push hard, we can. It's a marathon, not a sprint. :)

It takes a certain personality to pay money for these things, it's a lot like gambling. And once they have an investment it gets easier to keep throwing money away so they don't lose that investment. Yet lose they will one way or another.

Jake, that answers a lot of questions on how Mylene's fans have been keeping ahead of us. Especially now that it is 22:20 in Paris and they are still pumping in the votes. Normally by about 21:30 Paris time Mylene's numbers start to slip. By now they are really slowing down quickly as her fans head off to bed and today they haven't.

Spent last evening working my tail off getting her ahead by one million votes before I hit the sack only to wake up to a nine million vote advantage. :omg::D

I don't think many of the people voting realize this is a multi stage game, that runs into January 2014. If they're depressed now with Alizée, Mylene and Jenifers fan base, with their voting tenacity, they're not going to want to deal with it over the next few months. The reason I say that, is if they realized the top twenty move into the next round, there would be a whole lot more action going on around the twentieth and lower positions.

I just did it and it seemed to cast 2 votes.
The way I did it is I clicked the vote button 2 times.
That opened up two vote windows. I entered the codes, but did not click enter yet.

I went back to the main page, did a refresh to get the latest tally, then I quickly went to the two vote windows, clicked on the window where I had already entered the codes and hit enter.

The count went up 60,000 widgets or what ever you call them, so unless someone else voted in the same few seconds that I was voting which is possible, it did count 2 votes.

It seems you first have to enter the last vote window you opened or it will only count one vote.

Sure, it's not her best picture ever, but at least it's current. I hope that with the help of DALS and (very much hope) with this coming album we heard about, Lolita will step back and let Alizée shine at last (in the eyes of the French public) Kinda like that one judge said.
