Thanks aFrenchie, I hoped that it wasn't going to be too much of a problem because it isn't here, but having never been to France and knowing it is usually used between friends, I wasn't sure if it would be viewed as friendly or just rude. Whereas I believe most Americans could care less if someone speaks bad English, as long as one can figure out what is being said. I think Jessica mentioned concern about her English, so maybe she is afraid to respond in English. She may also worry about being misunderstood.

Anyone out there who is concerned about posting here because they don’t think their English is good enough should not worry about it. I don’t think any of us are worried about it.

Well, you need to look at it from her perspective. It probably wasn't just people from this forum who were attempting to contact her, but others as well. She may have just got fed up with all the attention and decided enough was enough, the only way to end it all is to burn all the bridges.

I'm sure the poor girl gets overwhelmed with fans lke us that want to talk to her, and using English probably isn't the most comfortable thing for her to do (bien que votre anglais soit très bon, Jessica).

From my experience with her I can assure you that she is a very sweet, intelligent, and pleasant girl. She is not in the least bit rude. She just (understandibly) needs her own space.
